The typical internet troll would be quick to point out that Keith originally played this in an open G tuning. A Rolling Stones aficionado would say that Keith never played anything the same way twice, and was know to change tunings live. You captured to spirit of both Keith & Mick Taylor's parts!! Don't listen to the trolls, the aficionados, or anyone else, don't overthink it - JUST KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!
Awesome and I didn’t think it would sound right in standard but it really does. Maybe Mick played standard while Keef tuned to G. Would make sense for solos. Once again awesome man
One of the greatest 'Opening album tracks' of all time. Perfect day for me to find your version. This song was part of my daily workout this morning (I always put a couple rockers up-front to get started). Great job! "The sunshine bores the daylights out of me"...one of my favorite lyrics ever.
I started to read your post and thought 'Oh! Oh! I'll mention the "Sunshine bores the daylights . . . " and I'll get lots of up thumbs for being and incisive smartypants! Then two seconds later, you ruin it for mee. Thanks a million! 😊
I've been a Stones fan since '64, and a die-hard fan since '71. This track is one of the best r&r songs in history. I never ever tire of hearing it. It rocks with abandon and sheer joy. So glad to see a young gun perform it - the looks on your face while playing say it all - this song has everything you want in a r&r song, an infectious groove, a rocking rhythm sections, great horns, driving beat and off course Jagger's incredible lyrics and delivery. Thanks for posting this; it got me to subscribe to your channel. Keep on a'rocking brother.
Your Enthusiasm on on this Rolling Stones number really fascinates me your natural guitar player thank you for a job well done your sincerely David Armada
You can tell that you have practiced those Richards basic riffs to perfection - not even looking at your fret work while playing them.... nice. Those little up swing pauses are classic Keith, too. Great job !
Serieux , j'ai 50 piges , et tu m'as choque, tu es vraiment un sacre guitariste, ca me fais vraiment trop plaisir de voir un jeune de ta generation jouer ca et surtout de quelle maniere, un grand bravo !! Et t'as un sacre bon style , continue, tu m'en as mis plein les yeux.
Je traduis seriously, I'm 50 years old, and you shocked me, you're really a great guitarist, it really makes me so happy to see a young person of your generation play that and especially in what way, a big congratulations!! And you have a really good style, keep it up, you amazed me.
This was a neat video to find. I was in the mood to listen to this and instead of listening the 'Exile' version, I listened to some young guy playing along with it.
This is my favorite song of all time, and I'm hesitant to listen to covers of it. This? This does Rocks Off justice. Love watching you play. And you're gorgeous!
Outstanding! It's great to see that there are still some young people with the discipline, drive and desire to learn to play an instrument instead of relying on computers, samples and autotune to crank out "music."
I wonder why they've never been able to recreate in concert the record version of this song? They don't even come close; and even when they had Mick Taylor they couldn't do it. You have the guitar part down. (The song itself was written in 1970, and they did many different takes of it and assembled it sort of piecemeal, the last bit being Mick recording the backing vocals winter '72 in LA.) You're right, though, it's an awesome song, and that's surely why they chose it as the first track on "Exile ..."
Wow, you shreded it! I brought up your video to show my son what he could aspire to as he starts guitar lessons. Watching you enjoy that made me want to join him!
I was feeling that. So nice to see that there are still younger people who appreciate this stuff. What's your setup there? I see the SG but what else. I love that sound you're getting.
There´s a little bit of Keith in each of us!❤

But it is much easier to play in open G. FWIW.
@@cv4wheelerUnless one has exceptionally long fingers…
Keith said with arthritis he is playing in different keys and tunings. You can play it the same in E or G, just a different voices
Nice to see younger rockers diggin the Stones. Good work on this!!
I remember first listening to Beggars Banquet and I remeber I like it a fucking lot.

Пикантности этой ситуации придаёт ещё то, что исполнитель очень внешне напоминает Мика Тэйлора, не говоря уже про мастерское владение гитарой
Outstanding play. You sure did pick a great Stones number.
This Boy is sooo good! He's one of Young Guys who Takes the torch of r'n'r' and gif IT to it's neighbour! The torch of the rolling stones-music!
From my favorite Album....Exiles!! Great work!
Excellent, it sounds nice and dirty just like Keith!

He'll yeah!!! Pure rock and roll.
You can tell that you have practiced those Richards basic riffs to perfection - not even looking at your fret work while playing them.... nice. Those little up swing pauses are classic Keith, too. Great job !

Great job, man. Really appreciate your clip.
Nice and Keith had it done, but couldn't finish it until he folded another guitar at 4 am 😝❗ Genius ❗
Amazing! Merci Clarence, cheers 🍻🍻
Excellent! I like your drive and attitude towards this song. Attack, swing and groove, even a bit funky, all there, super.
Outstanding! It's great to see that there are still some young people with the discipline, drive and desire to learn to play an instrument instead of relying on computers, samples and autotune to crank out "music."
Legendary!
Just an effing great rocker. Rock on young bro!
Great work!
You got the Keek hair bro! ROCKS OFF!!
Or for those of us cursed with short fingers, play it in Open G, as Keef did on the record. All of that stretching disappears, like magic.
Yep! The tab I'd seen were in standard tuning, but Open G would definitely be a good choice 😁
Ok,friend.Exile .. 1972.Rock offs,que maravilla,genial.Tocas muy bien.Mi favorita,es difícil,es sweet Virginia.Un abrazo desde Madrid

if there is a rock guitar pose and vibe grammy this guy should be in the running
