==SPOILERS!== One cool detail about the hipster couple who asks for directions. There’s a possibility they interrupted Usnavi in the present day and he included them in his narrations: there’s a couple in the beach shortly after that moment who resemble the man and woman asking for directions. It implies the beach is real for first time viewers, but on a rewatch it’s a giveaway that the beach is imaginary and covering up Usnavi’s store.
The moment where Graffiti Pete reveals the painted wall at the bodega, you can hear ocean waves and birds. But it is significant for Usnavi because he is the only that can hear those noises. I like this because it shows that the wall was all he needed in order to feel like home.
Yes, and the way the hipster woman’s hair changes color and shortens by a foot is a metaphor for people trying too hard to divine meaning that isn't present.

Yes, that's correct. I did learn that after I released the video. Appreciate your correction nonetheless!
I could be wrong but I don't think you have that 3-2 Clave right. Shouldn't the first measure be 1, and of 2, 4 | 1, 2 ? It's not straight quarter notes.
Look at them again. Those are not straight quarter notes. They are dotted quarter notes. So yes, it is 1, and of 2, and 4 like you said.

at 11:12 kevin says compie', a spanish term for bro, not come by,
So where is that kevin video
It's coming. I promise! Might take a second, but it's coming.
It isn’t a good look when all the comments are correcting your video for wrong information lmao
maybe when you anaylise plays or films; music you should continue the first 8 minute format so you cover a bit of evrything instead of just focusing on one song. And i know that the first 8 minutes thing isn't your format but you could adopt it and it'll be a cool story of why you use it in your videos. I dunno
Bro, make that Kevin video.
If there's no Camila who sings"Enough"?
They cut that song and a bunch of others
☹️ But it was one of the best songs in the musical
I feel ya.
@@HowardHoMusic why do you think they cut that role? i also do not understand the addition of cuca. she does not add anything to the salon ladies story!! i am honestly surprised lin even wrote her in, because she is so trashy and does not seem like a good representation of his community.
I feel the movie sounds less latin than the broadway musical... i don't know that much about music but i've listened latin music since i can remember and there are some details that the brodway version has and the movie doesn't... and it's sad because those little things are the ones that i think gives identity to the musical so to me the movie sounds more like how americans thinks latin music sounds and the music sounds more like how latins thinks latin music sounds... and the same with the dancing... not a single step in the movie will be seen in any club in any latinamerican country...
Interesting. I wonder if they changed the arrangements somehow...like, made them sound bigger for the movie.
