Current challenges at CSOS: Good or bad news first?

The Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS) announced an important launch on 31 October 2024. The incoming acting Chief Ombud, Ms. Kedibone Phetla, discussed the current backlog of over 3,000 cases and outlined the steps CSOS is taking to enhance process automation and increase adjudication capacity in response to a recent surge in disputes.
In a press statement released on 16 August, Ms Phetla reaffirmed CSOS's commitment to addressing stakeholder queries following the standards set out in the Service Charter.
