right on. I purchased a used 2018 model 3 long range rwd 19 months ago with 48k and it just rolled 145k. 90% of all my charging has been at home. I live in Tx have traveled to Colorado twice, North Carolina twice and have been to the gulf coast several times. I personally am on my 2nd set of tires. The only thing I have replaced was a 12volt battery at 88k miles and it cost me $100! And Tesla sent their mobile service van to my house 1 hour away from the service center !
This Tesla model 3 has been the best car I have an ever owned! The batteries still charges up to 295-305 in summer and 285-290 in winter.

These cars are able to keep themselves cooler by having infrared resistant glass.
Fisker did the cool thing and put solar panel roofs on top of the Fisker Ocean.
In those desert states in and around California, it would be amazing for the car to be able to charge it itself while it’s just sitting in the sunlight.
That would be a major selling point.

There are two scroll/joysticks on the steering wheel. The left joystick/scroll is configurable. You can open the glovebox with the left joystick on the steering wheel. While driving you can do the following from the steering wheel controls (buttons): inc/dec volume, change radio stations, pause/play music, initiate voice recognition, answer the phone, and open the glovebox.

The reason why there are no levers is so you can software lock these compartments when you let someone else drive your car, since the vision is that in the future these cars wont be owned but be shared and drive themselves
I know this is a bit premature, but i believe this is the reason and not the clean aesthetics
And it’s already a part of vallet mode

The Mustang Mach-e is truly a beautiful all around car. The outside and inside. I think my top 3 EVs are the Tesla Y, Mustang Mach-e and the Cadillac Lyriq. Can’t go wrong with either. The tech and recharge stations might be better on the Tesla but the other two are tight behind it and next year they will also be able to use Tesla superchargers.

I'll be interested to see how committed the Tesla advocates remain now that Musk has fired his supercharger team while at the same time he took seed money from Uncle Sam to expand the charger network for Ford, GM, Stellantis and others who he agreed to provide charger access for those vehicles.
He took the money while crippling the infrastructure he built and doubling or tripling the potential users in the deal. I just got messaged on my Ford Pass that my adapter will be shipping in August so the Blue Oval clearly is not letting Elon's histrionics affect the strategy.
I'll stick with home charging my Mach E. At least I'm not dependent on an iconoclast with control issues.

Tesla is good and sucks for a lot more reasons and the main reason is customer service, price and plain design. Tesla dont care about their customers and have a bad reputation across the states for service and until they resolve that it will be a hinderance to their company. Cadillac lyriq is soooo much better in ride than any ive driven but in general all electric cars are ripping people off!! Theres no engines, transmissions, exhaust systems or engineers to build them and manufacturer warranty so how are they double in price??
