I have used this app on all our walks this year and it hasn't failed me yet although never rely on the app totally. Always have a back up.

Hi , Ordnance Survey maps - on the app seem to have changed since this video was made , iam finding it far more complex to use, new or old version , what do you make of it
Hi Mark, the best way i have found to use it is to plot a route on your desktop then favourite that route. It then becomes available in the app. I make sure i have the map downloaded for when i'm out and about and tend to just use the app for finding my location. Hope that helps.

I switched to OS maps after another brilliant app I used started to charge for its use and had ads all over it ....I find it generally good...sometimes marked paths aren't there, many a time I'm tracking through swampy, long grass, gorse, Heather getting soaked ...as a quick hand non map way of navigation it's useable
I like the desktop part of planning routes which makes it much easier.
Is this app free ?
