Great stuff, man. I still haven’t opened this one up yet, but I love the look of the plane. I almost think it would scale better with the Peter Jackson SHMA Kong, although I’d have to compare the size of that Ann Darrow to the guys in the plane to see for myself. I do wish the shackles fit more snug, I think Mezco pulled that off a little better as far as accessories. I wish I still had my McFarlane Kong, I’d love to set this up on the display base from that old figure. I’ve warmed up to the hinged jaw head quite a lot. I still prefer the original version’s head sculpt overall, but that’s just down to my personal preference. The angle you have the hinged jaw head at during your size comparison could pass for a movie still, it really does look great. Awesome video...can’t wait to see NECA milk this one again in black and white, haha.
NECA is really thoughtful on doing figures. Nice that they added the plane. It would have been nice to have a looser spinning blade disc and have the back gunner to be able to change positions turning. Though kudos to NECA for stepping outside the box. I was hoping to see you pose your new Zuniceratops in scale with Kong and you did that along with your Amber Collection Pteranodon. Great review!

I'm thinking about picking up the illustrated version to keep mib and I hope to see a black and white version, which I'll probably use the articulated mouth on. The articulated mouth headsculpt reminds me of close up shots from the movie when he would move his mouth up and down. It was goofy but it had such a charm that I love.
Awesome review man, the accessories do make this fig an attractive package. Maybe NECA figured the plane propeller already looks like its spinning so no need to actually be able to spin lol

I like that they put a pilot and a gunner in it and didn't leave them out, makes it look more realistic.

Man I saw this set the other day and put ot down, waiting to find the skull island set, though I do want the plane! 🤦♂️. Decisions.
Both are great, i have the skull island version. The movie poster version throws off.
