Ballet Barre 6 (Online Ballet Class) - Dutch National Ballet

- We’ve developed a few ‘online ballet classes’ for our dancers, but you can join from your living room as well. Ernst Meisner will teach you this sixth Ballet Barre from our studio in Amsterdam. Ernst Meisner, artistic coordinator of the Junior Company, teaches this barre and pianist Rex Lobo accompanies him on the piano. We will stream a ballet barre on RUclips every Monday and Friday and will go live during a class with dancers (via ZOOM) on our Facebookpage Het Nationale Ballet. All classes start at 11am (CET).

I am still using these classes even after the pandemic when I can't get to a ballet class or it is raining outside. Always so good to return to Ernst and Rex and know that they are still there on RUclips.

With this dance method, I make a lot of progress, especially on memory; I remember each exercise better and better. The teacher gives me confidence and the pianist is great, his music helps me a lot to develop the movements and to remember everything.

I just re-watched it and my jaw dropped when Rex did the frappe music. That was brilliant and ecstatic. I wish I was on that very room witnessing it. Stunning piano skills there Rex. And of course, Ernst Meisner, you are extraordinary.
As I child loved ballet classes but my father always thought it was not worth it to pay for classes. I used to live in front of a ballet academy and they let me in to watch classes when ever I wanted. These classes remind me of that period of my life: Watch, memorize and learn and by your own place practice and enjoy!!

I’m still dancing with you in semi shut down in Los Angeles, California. Ernst may be my ballet teacher all year long! Amazing class. I'm a retired Cecchetti dancer. I'm currently recovering from a torn ACL and meniscus (from rock climbing, not dancing) and have been using ballet barre to supplement my physical therapy. Since discovering this series online, I've gotten SO much stronger and reignited my passion for dance. I can't thank you enough!

These classes are really helpful. They allow to focus on the work of each muscle and to make correct every movement. And Mr. Meisner is so smiley and elegant!
