I once asked a man named Buddy Guy if I could take lessons from him. He told me, I’ll tell you what I told my son. You got to find it by yourself”. In my humble opinion too many people aren’t playing the blues, they’re just playing notes and boxes.
I often sit with my students and make them learn things by mistakes, a great deal more can be learned by making mistakes. Jimi said, the blues is easy to play, it's just hard to feel.
