Twilight losing hope... Completely giving up. It's an honestly depressing thought, Twilight had always been this pillar of optimism in the show. It's what made that one scene in Return of Harmony so powerful. I liked Return of Harmony more than any of the other season pilots or finales for the interactions between characters. For character interaction I go with Return of Harmony, for plain plot I go with the Crystal Empire, and of course I go to Twilight's Kingdom for action. I can see something like this being a scene in the show. Luna Eclisped was one of my favourite episodes, and I really want to see Luna have some redemption. Not just to console herself for Nightmare Moon, but to thank Twilight for reminding her how to speak to ponies. Luna owes Twilight a lot, and it's a character dynamic I wish got just a little more attention. Seeing Luna come to Twilight's rescue would be not only a nice nod to the fandom, but it would also serve to develop Luna's character and be a rather humbling moment for Twilight. I'm not talking Cadance levels of affection for each other, but c'mon. I know the writers don't want to be predictable, but I think Luna's been getting the shaft long enough. And in talk of being obvious and predictable, I'm still surprised they haven't pulled the "Evil Celestia" card on us yet. Don't lie, it's going to happen eventually. I know Celestia's thing is that she doesn't have any moral flaws or character faults, but they'll pull a plot device out of their asses. Nightmare Moon was never really explained. Did Luna willingly transform into Nightmare Moon and was completely conscious of her actions during the battle with Celestia, or did a separate entity overtake her? Which one? Was Nightmare Moon just the release of a huge culmination of negatives thoughts against Celestia, that Luna had never tried to constructively express? Does any pony have the potential to make their own Nightmare Moon? The Friendship is Magic arc just makes me mad.
This isn't much, but in the official comic book Luna was overtook with the darkness that was pulled from her deepest fears and nightmares, as it took over her concious.

She's probably the hammiest of the villains, kind of silly in how outlandishly evil she acts. "The night shall last forever"? I'm sorry, but that's the stupidiest thing I've ever heard. The Mane 6 now has to physically fight Chrysalis and Discord to save Equestria, but of course, with the latter having more magical power, *They fail.* All of them get seriously injured, and die for real. Discord plays with their dead bodies as they were lifeless puppets. We see Twilight thumping at the window, because she has a major head injury so she is disoriented. Chrysalis delivers the final blow by shooting a magical beam at Twilight, throwing her out of the window. In her last moments, she recounts all of her memories, her friends, celestia, everything good that used to be, but that is slowly fading away... *Friendship WAS magic.* Luna somehow escaped, catching twilight before she hits the ground. Although she had died, her legacy of spreading friendship lives on. Luna: You're gonna carry that friendship. *Maybe, just maybe, the ones who learned from her might stand up against Chrysalis and Discord one day.*

As she fell she thought of her family and her good memories of her past..She knew she wasn't gonna make it.. She got a bad head concusion and she sadly died on her way down.. Luckily luna caught her... She took her last breath...
