The Dragon Ball story peaked with this arc. We never reach this level again. The next major arc had some amazing moments, but Cell Games raised the bar too high and they haven't been able to reach it since.

I may be a minority, but the Tournament of Power takes the cake for me. Just finally an arc we're characters other than Goku or Gohan aren't all just jobbers. And it made technique and skill relevant again yes power level mattered, but less so than in Z.
Android 16 hasn't seen Goku yet. Android 16 and 18 had already left to hide before Goku showed up. Also just in case you missed that detail, Vegeta and Trunks were in the Time Chamber for more than a day while Goku and Gohan came out early. Vegeta and Trunks used around 2 extra weeks. Goku and Gohan had a month and half to spare.

If they would've rested 7 days, Goku and Vegeta went back in to train together for the 8th day and they came out to rest on the 9th day. Vegeta would've reached SS2 easily and Goku SS3.
Vegeta can control super sayian he just doesn’t know how to get the complete full power super sayian, or you can say mastered super sayian, that’s what goku & Gohan did…

Namek saga was my personal favorite
