As a balanced dog trainer, I guarantee you!!!! Dogs off the bed would be resolved in a matter of SECONDS!!! The clown show of this video of dragging dogs off of the bed his just laughable!!!! I know! My in laws have a dog that just stands by the table any time we're over there for dinner. He will hang around my 2yr old daughter because she will try to pass him food. When my in laws try to call him over to them, he always comes back unless he's kept in the other room. Which they don't like doing because it upsets him. @@telia4268 pretty much every problem you see here has to do with dogs and the way they behave. When Gloria steps in and trains these dogs, a large part of it involves using food to trick them into good behavior. I have friends who use the same approach with their dogs, they will get their dog to behave one moment, only for them to revert to their original behavior when they're not around or when someone new shows up, or any other reason. Either these dogs don't really understand us or what we want from them (disproving half the platitudes I hear about dogs), or they don't care what we want from them and will take the first opportunity to do what they want instead (disproving lots of the other platitudes out there).

      @santiagoporret5247 Год назад +14

      @@sodapopjones260I like a lot the way you explained it “tricking the dog into good behavior” that’s exactly the problem with modern dog training techniques. When rewards comes in to solve behavior issues, it stops being communication, it’s just tricking the dog through its instincts. That’s why most of them revert, it’s an unconscious process, plus it is unnatural and requires a human in it to be successful.

    • @santiagoporret5247

      Though Victoria chooses to address the dog actually. One example: there was no need of food, the dog smelled the leash and had no problem with it, the owner holding the leash was the actual scary thing😂 she made it seem like the leash was the problem, instead of actually teaching the owners not to chase after the dog if they want to catch it, basics of animal handling.

      Yes! We can have a total of 5 animals. Any mix of dogs and cats is fine, as long as there are no more than 5 total. When you have too many, it's difficult for them all to get their emotional needs met. I am a pet sitter and dog walker. One of my clients has seriously evaded the rules and has 7 cats and 3 dogs, all indoors. I was quite concerned the first time I met them. I was told how many animals they have up front. They've been my clients for more than two years whenever they go out of town. Luckily, there are 4 children over the age of 10. The house never smells. The dogs are actually trained in the basic commands, and they seem emotionally secure. But if they didn't have the kids all tending the animals, along with the adults, I can't imagine the chaos there would be! Their level of good care of the animals is, actually, impressive! It's a relaxed, happy home. I'm happy with our two little dogs. That's enough for my husband and I.

    This is part of why I got a puppy from a breeder as my first dog. People kept telling me to get a rescue/rehomed dog, but as an inexperienced dogs person, I wanted a clean start instead of having to struggle with other people's mistakes when I'm not even sure I could manage that. Obviously, as we've seen. getting a puppy can also go wrong, but then it's *your* fault. I do know training though as I have an education in conditioning for horses (same principles for all mammals, just slightly different methodology), but dogs are a first. I'd love to help out dogs in the future when I have more experience, but I feel like I owe it to them to not mess them up further.

    Why do people revel in the disjunction they create around dogs. I think it’s a way of holding others away, also”look at me and how much I love these dogs”! Thank goodness Victoria is as patient and diplomatic as she is!

    Sorry but Jeff isn’t remotely in the wrong here. Stuffing eights dogs Jeff never wanted into this house, and then pouring more stress onto him by making him work “very hard” with every single dog is ridiculous. Eight dogs in a house is so unhygienic and frankly neglectful of the dogs.

    Wow, they can have 8 dogs in a residential home? Here you can only have 2 dogs, and if you want more you have to put an application in to your council for a permit which they then either approve or decline. You usually have to pay a fee with the application too. I'm surprised they're allowed so many dogs in a home., If it was a farm, then yeh that would be ok.

    8 dogs is A LOT especially when they are big dogs many years ago we had 7 Shih-Tzu’s so they were small, but grooming was an entire weekend job for my husband and I, Friday was clip brush and nail clipping day and brush out any tangles, Saturday my husband would bathe them all and I finished them all up and blow dried their hair it was a weekly chore and it definitely took both of us to keep them properly clean and groomed 😮❤❤

    the resent in that marriage is going to ruin it. She brought in all these dogs when her husband CLEARLY did not want them, and now she's annoyed he won't go through the trouble of feeding EIGHT ADULT DOGS that aren't his. Wife has prioritized the dogs in EVERY SPACE of that home and marriage. Not surprised the guy isn't happy. He doesn't have ownership of any part of that house - not even his own kitchen or his own bed.
    He's been backed into a corner and pressured to accept responsibility for these poor dogs. I wouldn't be surprised if he seperated from her.

      I would have left after the 3rd one! I grew up w 1, when my dad passed, and my Mom remarried, of course they had one, and we had 2 then. My grandma passed and we acquired her dog after my stepbrothers dog had passed. So my parents adjusted to having 2, and always kept them in the backyard. They tried adopting another everytime one passed to keep the other one company.
