I walked into a trailer office for swift back in the 1990's. Got the application, stopped and looked. Turned and found a solid post of the wall. Banged my head into it hard. Turned around and handed the application back. T.M. came out of his office and asked what happened. I replied that I had to knock some since into myself. Then walked out.

You will be homeless in a truck with Swift. They only take care of their diamond drivers, lease drivers, and owner operators. I worked for them years ago.
Fuq Swift. I started with them and their school, and I can tell you first hand, it was the biggest professional mistake I made in my life. I had enough of their shenanigans, I told my DM to go fuq herself and threw my keys on her desk and never looked back. Now I'm working locally making $2k a week.

I pulled a Johnny Mack this week. I felt really uncomfortable doing it and didn't want to give the guy a hard time... I felt like I have to tell these guys look you can't be doing these things youre doing. If they are coming to America, you have to and will assimilate to our ways of doing things.

Most U.S. guys have etiquette. I was at a Pilot last week and some dune dweller was washing his toilet out behind his trailer. By toilet I mean a 5 g HD pail. I've never seen an American trucker washing his feet in the sink at the truck stop bathroom,...yet.

I drive for swift and as a country boy so funny watching other drivers get scared when I start backing and make the back in one shot or minor pull-up and not hit a thing. Should not be so good at backing then maybe they would not send me around NY city, NJ and DC as much. Lol. Had delivery at store to switch trailer near DC. Said I was done 25 minutes later. He said what no way I was done. Said come and see. Manager said he seen swift drivers trying to make that switch taking 2-3 hours lol. Said it is not that hard to do if you know what you are doing or a country boy use to driving big things from youth. Lol

As a beginner for Swift a while back, I could drive better than most of the mentors right out of cdl school. I don’t recommend my worst enemy to go to Swift. Real dangerous. The majority of Bucees we've been to, it's hard enough to pull a 42 foot 5th wheel RV hooked to a 22 foot pickup truck into one of those places, let alone maneuver the high traffic those places get to even find a place to park. Some we won't even attempt to pull into because of how they lay out the driveways into them.

It's becoming a pattern where certain types take the 1st 20-25 minutes of the computer break in the isle THEN fuel!
Some people just stick the nozzle in the tank and go inside. They actually don't even get fuel. Some people fuel one tank at a time using the slowest setting on the pump. Some people pull half way through the isle and pop their hood and go inside. Steering wheel holders put a lot of effort into being lazy.

But to approach someone you don't know with that type of attitude is begging for an altercation. And it probably isn't worth it. When I was otr I saw stupid $hit all the time. We all do/did. But it never crossed my mind to approach someone, not like these guys do. I might have sat in my truck and gave them the "c'mon man" look, respectfully. And it always worked out. I just don't get why these "field reporters" put themselves in what could be a dangerous situation.
I agree 1000%! I’ve been saying it for months that one of these field reporters is gonna walk up on the wrong trucker one day and get hurt. Putting a camera in somebody’s face makes it 10 times worst! These “field reporters” are only doing it to impress Ike and to get there video on Bonehead Truckers.
