I think the problem with "free speech" is that USA is one of a handful of countries in the world where speech is protected from the government. Most countries in the world penalize or criminalize certain speech. In Canada, where Strickland just were, harassment with speech can be criminal. So, in most cases when non American journalists asks Dana about restricting the fighters' speech is not a matter of "freedom of speech" it is a matter of how it would affect the UFC if a card gets cancelled because of a criminal investigation or if the fighter gets in legal trouble for what they say. What would happen if someone started criticizing Islam or one of their important people when they are in Abu Dhabi? UAE have blasphemy laws with jail time as punishment. So, it is not a matter of scripting but a matter of keeping people on the right side of the law.

I told Chael not to speak of fried chicken in this video. It worked, he never talked about fried chicken and said what i knew he would say. By telling him he couldn't talk about fried chicken the only alternative was.....you just watched it.
I guess I am one of those few lost souls who LOVE the PRELIMS. It's not always about star power...it's about matchups. In fact, quite often the script is flipped and the best fights are in the undercards. Sometimes a lot more compelling having two hungry fighters trying to make it to the main cards.
Chael is correct to not to make this about free speech in general, in the abstract, because the UFC is entertainment. Even though he's saying it's real, what he's saying is that it's more entertaining when it's real. Or, probably even better to understand, it's improvised. Except when it's Ian Garry, which is why he's so bad at talking.
That's very mean to undercard fighters, seeing as the man holding the belt right now who is going to hold on to it for five years started from there. Chief.
I don’t watch the weigh ins or the face offs. My favorite fights are when they are two respectable fighters. I really don’t need to hear someone putting down another persons dead father.

Professor Chael waxing poetic again, GEEZ! 😂
I'm going to watch the Super Bowl, but I'm not going to sit in the cold and watch the local high school team.
Why ufc brings up more hype. Trash talk more views and ppv. Unlike other organizations you hardly see trash talk or hardly at beef. Look at the Jones snd dc to Irish boy and grizzly wrestler built up to that crazy fight. Hype fights and ufc always bring a banger
My man dropped the mic after this
I told Chael not to speak of fried chicken in this video. It worked, he never talked about fried chicken and said what i knew he would say. By telling him he couldn't talk about fried chicken the only alternative was.....you just watched it.
Chael is a super smart guy
I guess I am one of those few lost souls who LOVE the PRELIMS. It's not always about star power...it's about matchups. In fact, quite often the script is flipped and the best fights are in the undercards. Sometimes a lot more compelling having two hungry fighters trying to make it to the main cards.
I love the fight night main events. Giving people the privilege of carrying a show seems to step up their game.
Where'd the video on Bo go?
Aye chael how have you and your family been doing lately my friend? Happy be-a-little lated new year to you and your family too.
That's very mean to undercard fighters, seeing as the man holding the belt right now who is going to hold on to it for five years started from there. Chief.
10:10 This is deeper than Mayra Bruno Silva's voice. So true... if you restrict speech, then you have created a script.
Imagine if Silva didn’t get that lucky triangle and Chael fought Bisping later in his career
Chael is undefeated , have you watched this channel
Chael did not tap against Silva - Referees error
I love mma. My favorite part is, watching endless replays of uncle chael beat the sh!+ Out of john jones and believe that i could ever be that good
Eyebrows on fleek Chael
haha
The Suga State Athletic Commision has officially concluded that Sean Strickland 3-2'd Dricus.
I have no idea for once what the hell Chael was talking about this video. He still does remain tho, undisputed and undefeated
I don’t watch the weigh ins or the face offs. My favorite fights are when they are two respectable fighters. I really don’t need to hear someone putting down another persons dead father.
Dispute and dispute resolution is why I watched Strickland vs DDP
I like that Dana is standing up for a Sean Strickland to speak what he thinks Seans speaks for alot of people who dont have that big of platform to do so.
This is why they need to just hire you to teach the fighters how to talk smack.
White & Sonnen 2024
Chael: "Not to give this person a hard time"
Proceeds instantly to give the person a hard time.
I don't even watch MMA. I just enjoy unc telling me stories about it.
Not really... I was super stoked to watch Lawler vs Condit. They only spoke glowingly about one another leading up to an all time classic fight.
Another Uncle Chael 💎
Wait a second there uncle Chael! Are you expecting me to believe that Sean Strickland never being asked a thing about Trudeau, and going into some sort of halfwitted political rant wasn't pre-planned, and scripted by Strickland? I'm not buying that for a second!
We're in the Disney/BudLight ESG era of UFC now where the sport is full of activist reporters, judges and podcasters. If PFL/Saudis can offer an alternative that doesn't cater to this crowd, they will surpass UFC.
Tito tapped
Dispute resolution?
I like MMA because every time I see someone hurt another human being I feel less personal guilt for the pain ,injury and subsequent suffering I caused to other humans in the past.
I assumed everyone else felt the same...
Right guys?
Guys?
That's almost like saying mma isn't real cos there are certain moves you can't do.
Spot on about the built in mechanisms for punishment though
Is this why they brought Vince McMahon in? I like the fact that the pull strings on story lines but keep what fighters say organic. Hence why Tom Aspinall will never fight Jon Jones or Stipe
What a cogent argument for free speech in this industry, keeping political aside, bravo
That’s Money - Right On Mr Sonnen
I put ur videos on autoplay when I cook stuff🍳🥓
How has a major network not given Chael his own talk show?
Charles audience is larger here than on ANY major network.
@@justincall997
Charles indeed
The title should be "Ariel I offer you this."
the infection is after the children..clean it out by any means and save the children from being infected
