I've got a thundermax also and it has had a couple random problems. It's hard starting for one and doesn't always activate the compression releases, if the battery gets even a little bit low it won't start and kicks back on the starter. This is the new one they sent since the first crapped out. there is definitely a flaw in their software or something.
I have a 2007 road king stage 4 106ci this bike was 105hp na, after turbo stage 1 from Trask i was at 165hp, asually you see a bump of 50 to 60% of horsepower when adding a turbo kit on a harley. It has to learn throttle position and other things again before starting. Just my experience and what the instructions say to do. Of course I have to watch the rest of the video to see if you figured that out.
when i tuned a 114 trask turbo kit this spring it was 164tq and 177hp. i noticed the puffs of smoke coming out of the waste gate pipe, might want to check the timing in those areas it may be a little aggressive.

That toggle between power output like that is so very attractive...... I really to need to get my ass to a Harley dealer when I'm back home in America.
I just put a DRAGON T143 S&S in my bagger n running nitrous, once we get the final tune on her. we did a mild tune for break in n put 162 hp n 157 torque to back wheel. I figure next tune will b over 170hp. going with a 50 shot of nos first but I can still shoot another 100hp into her, but I'm thinking 50 will b enough n keep her from BLOWIN UP bit my end results, looking for 200+hp to back wheel😳🥳😎✌ NICE BUILD BOYZ❤
The reason we have 200 horsepower motorcycles are the electronics, stability control with IMu. Otherwise, your fighting traction and wheelies. Many bikes have launch control for steady launches. The new Ducati Streetfighter V4 ECU actually limits power first and second gear. There maybe problems with oem electronic algorithms for oem horsepower vs aftermarket horsepower. TC, antiwheelie, and launch control may not be as seamless and non intrusive. Problems with QUICKSHIFTER function. Does it have a QUCKSHIFTER?
200 hp on the Streetfighter is very different than 200 hp on the Street glide. The Ducati has a dry weight of 397 lbs while the Harley is over 800. I own a Streetfighter V4s with the race exhaust (adds a claimed 4% more hp). My Harley past includes a Street Bob and V-Rod. But as my desire to “go faster” increased, so did the realization of the limitations of the Harley so I had to part ways. I still love them though, and want to add a Fat Bob to the garage one day but adding this much performance to a cruiser doesn’t make sense to me. Not that it has to lol… God bless America! 🇺🇸 I’m sure there are ppl out there who might do a Hennessy Winnebago just to be the fastest RV at the campground…. and I’ll be the first to hope it brings them all the joy in the world. 🍻 😃
175hp 170flbs I used to build 113ci block heads back in the 90's racing progas AHDRA. I made 165hp all motor. I would run 3x75hp NOS kits. 2out of the gate on the full throttle. The other after I gathered it up I would hit. B&M cycles #3 plate holder 1994-1997 7.79 @192mph
Sometimes I wonder when people decided to take a touring motorcycle, and drag race with it. Next thing you know we are going to be drag racing R/V's on the highways. ;) Myself I have tuned my 2009 Honda Shadow Aero, and increased the mileage from 46mpg when I first picked up the bike to 55.8mpg! This is all from a stock carburetor kit, and some tweaking of the fuel/air mixture and using 91 octane 100% gas, with no ethanol. Oh, and riding without a windshield also improves the mileage. The bike still gets up to 100mph, which is still fast enough to get a ticket or two. Take care, ride safe.
I put a 131 on my fat bob, it’s crazy! I know the bike is at the limit..everything. Tranny, suspension , brakes ect..., now for speed, and usable tq, hp, I’m sorry I have a Ducati with 218hp that plays so well. 180hp on a HD that’s not set up for drag...hats off to you, I just can’t trust the hd cruzer design with that much hp, tq, and speed capability...or maybe I don’t trust me on something like that
I've also heard people are loosing power on big cubes with the trask air assault cleaner, so much so that trask has said its coming out with an upgrade for the air cleaner.
Like my pops use to say, youre not finished working on a project build until you sell it. People only see a finished product, not the 6 months of hell getting everything zeroed in.
I love this video and want to do the same to my bike. I have one serious question. I have a death wobble on my 2019 CVO Street Glide starting around 115MPH. Did you upgrade the suspension before doing the turbo install? Thanks.
I have ridden two 350 hp/350 torque V8 bikes which are on another level. I built a 300 HP trike that would made some people sick (vertigo) it pulled so hard...
Hay guys , Yes I am making my own turbo kit for a baggers ... The numbers are on a 143 cu has made 250 hp ! and 268 ft of toque to the back wheel @16 lbs of boost ..... and yes this is done on a dyno and are real numbers ...... We have done a stock 107 and got 165 hp .....and 117 with 200hp and a 131 with twin turbos that have made 300hp to the back wheel ......
i would like to know the build on the engine such as head work, throttle body, etc. also when you did that dyno pull can you see what the injector duty cycle maxed out at ?
Comment your guesses on the horsepower and torque numbers before we put it on the Dyno! ⬇️
I guessed 205. I bet once you map it you’ll get around that number.
180+hp and 200+ ft- lbs?

I was asking why you’d need so much power
Then I slapped myself, lol
Now block you gonna put a turbo on Godzilla 😂🙏🏻
No, put it on the FU Sportster!
@@adamfields1362 on both
I love turbos. I bet it feels good when you need the power and it’s there!!
Can't wait for the trip to Arizona video. That will be a killer experience.
My son has one of these and just loves it.
Them: are you sure you want to this?
Me: you crazy SOAB I’m in!!!🤣
175hp 170flbs
I used to build 113ci block heads back in the 90's racing progas AHDRA. I made 165hp all motor. I would run 3x75hp NOS kits. 2out of the gate on the full throttle. The other after I gathered it up I would hit. B&M cycles #3 plate holder 1994-1997
7.79 @192mph
cool , respect to Trask
Sometimes I wonder when people decided to take a touring motorcycle, and drag race with it. Next thing you know we are going to be drag racing R/V's on the highways. ;)
Myself I have tuned my 2009 Honda Shadow Aero, and increased the mileage from 46mpg when I first picked up the bike to 55.8mpg!
180hp on a HD that’s not set up for drag...hats off to you, I just can’t trust the hd cruzer design with that much hp, tq, and speed capability...or maybe I don’t trust me on something like that
How long will it last.........
I've also heard people are loosing power on big cubes with the trask air assault cleaner, so much so that trask has said its coming out with an upgrade for the air cleaner.
That bike sounds freaking incredible! I’ve driven the H2 and I can imagine that bike feels similar. Great video bro!
Well done fellas, thank you for the coverage
Really enjoyed this guys ! Can’t wait to see more.
It sounds like a T-Rex! It's got that throaty idle sound, like a T-Rex just rumbling. lol
Jeezus! That's a lot of power on a glide dude
The 131 is already ridiculously powerful, why waste your time adding a Turbo? What a real power mad nutter would do is Supercharge it. 😎
It needs all the power it can get with how much the damn thing weighs lol
@@berube361 incorrect opinion proves my point.
I wanna see someone turbo Leading Edge's 159 kit..
Hearing that sound from a Harley is always insane.
Turbo. My dream. But I would expect higher figures here.
I have a 115 HP TwinCam 95in. that I think is fast, I can't imagine what that beast is like.
That blue and gold bike was dope
Like my pops use to say, youre not finished working on a project build until you sell it. People only see a finished product, not the 6 months of hell getting everything zeroed in.
I love this video and want to do the same to my bike. I have one serious question. I have a death wobble on my 2019 CVO Street Glide starting around 115MPH. Did you upgrade the suspension before doing the turbo install? Thanks.
I'm not a Harley guy, but I really enjoyed the video. Nice.
two things i dont care about, wrenching and harley's, but somehow i love this channel lol you guys are just that cool.
Holy crap that is a monster! Nice work blockhead garage.
this is great. but what is the life of the motor , with this mod?
Turbo designed by a kiwi bloody love it
He should have used a Dynojet Power Vision with the optional Target Tune to resolve his tuning issues.
I have ridden two 350 hp/350 torque V8 bikes which are on another level. I built a 300 HP trike that would made some people sick (vertigo) it pulled so hard...
So when you coming to Az?? I just moved to Pheonix.. mesa/Aj area.. would like to see the bike in person..
This is really awesome! I love Thundermax and Trask!
Can we get a tattoo tour of the block team?
Hay guys , Yes I am making my own turbo kit for a baggers ... The numbers are on a 143 cu has made 250 hp ! and 268 ft of toque to the back wheel @16 lbs of boost ..... and yes this is done on a dyno and are real numbers ...... We have done a stock 107 and got 165 hp .....and 117 with 200hp and a 131 with twin turbos that have made 300hp to the back wheel ......
I would love this on my 131 Stage 4 Street CVO
i would like to know the build on the engine such as head work, throttle body, etc. also when you did that dyno pull can you see what the injector duty cycle maxed out at ?
