Super Smash Brothers 4 3DS & Wii U needs to be Separated Standalone Sequels such as for 3DS being officially titled known as Super Smash Brothers 5 & than finally last Wii U being renamed Super Smash Brothers 6
They should have kept his Brawl sword sound effects. Man, they sounded so threatening yet satisfying.

Yeah, was there even a voice director around when the new guy recorded his lines? He clearly mustn't've been told that "Great Aether" is for a climactic battlecry.
I always use the older/Radiant Dawn skins, sounds perfectly fine to me.
ike's voice from smash brawl is the best of all and his smash's voice and sounds are better than wii u and switch

I get that the original voice actor didnt do a great job with some of his line deliveries in Ike's original game, but goddamn he sounded so much more powerful in brawl.
A hard hitter like Ike should sound like that, but in ultimate he sounds way too mild. His new VA may have a somewhat better understanding of his character, but i feel he really misses the mark in ultimate
I agree. The new VA also just sounds too much like the other Fire Emblem characters, and too much like the bishounen kind of character that's prevalent in anime.

Brawl had the Path of Radiance variant, Super Smash Brothers for Wii U/3DS had the Radiant Dawn variant, and now Ultimate has both variants.
Just wanted to be more specific.
If only he did that to ganondorf. Half Oot and half TP.
Wish they did that for young link, one outfit for his oot look and one for his majoras mask look.
Why'd they have to change the voice and sound effects of his Final Smash? Not only did it sound more epic, but the sound effects sounded more satisfying. Now he just sounds like it's another one of his normal attacks.
They screwed over his original VA, Jason Adkins, and did not have him reprise his role or even recycle the Brawl clips (which Mario/Luigi/Peach are all still doing.) And replaced him with Greg Chun, who has an amazing voice himself, but Adkins was already fucking perfect as Ike and willing to reprise his role anytime, but they fucked Adkins over and swapped him out for literally no reason at all.
Basically the same reason as Sonic
Corralzin Adkins got replaced because he isn’t the actual voice of Ike, he was just chosen because he was there lol.
He isn’t better as ike. Adkins severely misinterpreted Ike’s character, and Greg Chun understands it way better.

The back air animation used to look so good, is was fluid, wild, and it seemed like he was whipping the blade behind him.
Now he looks so stiff(not to mention voice Nerf).
i believe its better now (the back air), it makes a very cool pose, its just my opinion

Ike got done so dirty. He used to feel and sound powerful. Not he just sounds do young. I think the new voice could be given to his younger alts, but his older alts should have had his old voice, since he sounds old

Yea that twirl attack was pretty stylish... a bit hard to hit but was quite strong
Super Smash Brothers Melee needs to have 18 New Characters Introduced
After I learned that Ike was recast in Ultimate I changed the in game language to Korean which fixed things. Now the distinction between younger and older Ike is much clearer.
A lot of reused voices from Brawl and Sm4sh, but not Ike's...

Man, the new voice actor didn't even tried with that scream.
Wasn't even supposed to be a scream to begin with. The reason Intelligent Systems replace jason adkins is because his voice interpretation for ike was something they didn't like so they replaced his with Greg Chun who better understands the character. Ike isn't this loud, brutal, mighty person like Jason adkin interpreted him to be. Hell, even in FE path of radiance and FE radiant Dawn, his voice direction was super misguided.

not sure why might be the less prominent motion smears but his attacks especially fair felt so much more impactful
Ike's Great Aether in Ultimate when he says the attack just doesn't have the same impact it's kinda disappointing

Also, the sound effects for his Sword sound soooo pathetically weak in both Smash 4 and Ultimate.
Thankfully, Smash 4 has mods to bring back all of Brawl Ike's sound effects. Ultimate, however has NONE of that. Only a mod to bring back his old voice clips.
I mean, personally I'm fine with just the voice too. It's better than nothing.
