The reason k pop has grown so much is because korea has so many competition shows between the artists. Famous artists compete each other with their vocal, producing, dancing ability, etc. they all get better as they compete each other. American artists would never do that because they are too afraid of losing face. US version of masked singers, no real singers are competing either.
