I've watched the full ep. They are not confused, they got shocked by Rocky actually. Because he is the youngerest and is from a boy group with cute concepts. So they have not prepared for this excellent dance and acting. Judges admired him a lot after his performance. They said that they can't believe that he is only 17, and said if he goes to join a famous comedy competition show, he must get No.1.
Seriously. I think that's also on Rocky, he should choose something more contemporary. Also his acting is based on the English lyrics, make it even less relatable. But go Rocky!!
I'm sad Rocky didn't get many points even though I was expecting it because he's "the little rookie from Fantagio".What I loved about this though is that he did a great performance with a lot of variety. It wasn't just a dance, this was like a whole musical and he told a story with btw great acting. He once again proved that he can dance any style of dance. He can dance tap dance, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, street dance and now we can also add rumba to this list. People have to keep in mind that he is only 17 and he learned so much and is so damn good already.
YES. and I just saw Mark from nct, who's same age with rocky, in 'chewing gum' AND TAKE A LOOK AT THE LEVEL GAP BETWEEN MARK IN THERE AND ROCKY HERE. never would've said that they're same age based on that omg. 😂 Mark being all adorable and bubbly and then we have rocky and this performance...
Personal opinion. His performance is really great and entertaining but not fully meet the theme 'Uniform'. Uniform is not only the costume but should also be shown in the group dance. However, he is showing a more free/crazy style than a uniform dance when comparing to the other pairs. Anyway, I agree that he is talented and hope he can show us more in the next theme.

I am not too familiar with him, but as a dancer myself, I can objectively say that he is seriously talented. Not only does he have great technique but also so much energy, which really brings his performance together--and his facials were so entertaining. Honestly, you could tell that he put a lot of effort into this and was having a great time performing.

Everyone was 'alright' this week - but Rocky seriously stood out the most. So many different genres and technical mastery, creative expressions, and kept my interest throughout the performance. This audience seriously has no clue about dance. It's hard for me to choose between Feeldog and Rocky for first - but Rocky should definitely not have been last.
Double A Videos yeah even though Astro and monsta x are my bias groups rocky had a different vibe and style to his performance to me it was 100% better v_v wish the judges could see that....

Hit the stage is small reminder on how the audience still can't get their minds out of the gutter, despite the artist's music quality, talent or hard work people will always be biased towards seniors and ignore more talented people under the excuse of being newbies!
I think the reason it got such a low score was because the audience didn't appreciate what the performance was on a whole. The mask is very very weird and crazy character and rocky actually portrayed him perfectly to me but I believe the audience wasnt focusing on that and we're focusing on the dance and how technical it was (like don't get me wrong the dance was amazing, but it catered to the weird character which I don't think the audience liked nor understood) and so it got lower marks. I do believe him being a rookie idol is another reason it got low marks (because you'd all vote for people you know ect no matter the talent) and the audience probably weren't as familiar with rocky.
I’m still mad he didn’t win, this performance deserves a standing ovation. He portrayed the character so well and chose a different dance style rather than just going for traditional hip hop. However, i think the audience and judges hadn’t seen the movie before because i don’t think they understood how much time Rocky put into this choreo performance
as a fan of ASTRO (AROHA) we're so proud of our Rocky/Minhyuk because Mnet gave him a chance to perform in HTS.... it'a a good start for Kpop fans to notice ASTRO~ im so happy if Kpop fans will STAN ASTRO because they watch how talanted they are.. :)

Sad reality is that people never vote according to performances! Fans will always vote for their biases ,even if they didn't perform well. Same for music shows ,whichever group/idol has a larger fanbase will receive more votes.
Almondz Haze I understand that fans are fans and loyal to their idols ,i totally get it but it's unfair to others who are good at what they do and just because they have a smaller fanbase means they won't get those votes :( But nothing can be done about it
Didn't know about Rocky until today and I'm seriously shocked he got a score of 134 on this perf. They need to get rid of audience voting because obviously the audience isn't gonna have any expertise on dancing, it just makes no damn sense. Also, no hard feelings against Shonwu but I watched his first then Rocky's and I absolutely believe Rocky should have won, Rocky had way more facial expression and creativity in his dance over Shonwu's.
It's the third time rookies have been robbed (Ten and Momo in previous episodes received way too little points too). I completely agree with you - Mnet should just hire professionals to judge performances, because now it's more like "Hit the fangirls/fanboys" not "Hit the stage", but it's not the first time they fucked up their shows .-.

To those who isn't aware who he is, he is Rocky from ASTRO! He's a 99 liner, but he choreographed two of his own group's songs (Morning Call & Fireworks) and also his seniors' (5urprise & Hello Venus). He also took part in Korea's Got Talent when he was 12. I recommend watching his Moving Mountain (by USHER) cover, he also choreographed the dance and there were THREE OF HIM. AND HE WAS SO IN SYNC WITH HIMSELF IT'S AMAZING.
I know nothing about this guy and his group but I fully enjoyed this performance? He does dance very well and has a story to tell and he gets extra brownie points from me cause he gave me childhood nostalgia HAHA While it was a good performance I feel that he is capable of even more so it would be great to see him on future episodes as well
He is Rocky from Astro, 17 years old. He started to learn dancing when he was pretty young and has now learned Hip-Hop, tap dance, jazz, contemporary/modern and ballet. He always wants to try new things though. Rocky has choreographed two dances for his own group and helped with title song choreographies and also helped choreographing dances for his sunbaes (5urprise and Hello Venus). He is definitely, definitely capable of more! I love this stage, and I'm a little sadden that he got such low points. But nonetheless, I know Rocky's a super talented dancer beyond his years! I hope you want more dancing videos of him because he is so amazing at dancing!
So I decided to watch most of Rocky's dances, especially this one. As a dancer myself, I realized that he's really really good. AROHAS, your Rocky is undeniably talented.

Young Rocky is great! He was only 17 years old at the time. Every time you're amazed at the precision and ease of his movements, as if he's just taking things for granted. But you realize there's a lot of work behind it. And it can't help but admire.

Even if the audience are not familiar with the mask movie, how can you not appreciate a talent that can act and dance like that come on, he gave u a musical for free deym!!! Some idols just want to look cute or good on cam but this talented Rocky he doesnt care because he was effortlessly HANDSOME!!! You know he came from the VISUALLY SUPER TALENTED GROUP ASTRO!!!
I'm never going to get over this performance and the fact that he didn't win, Rocky did a great job and he really deserved to win, the rhythm followed well, his expressions were spot on, he did it incredible!
I haven't been paying much attention to rookie groups but damn this dancer from ASTRO has my attention! That dancing was superb! And damn impressive!! Seems like he dances a lot better than some of the other competitors, although I'm sad to hear he received such a low score~~ But their expressions...I think I see fear in their eyes, I'm sure everyone was impressed whether they wanted to admit it or not~ ;)
i've watched the entire episode and honestly, rocky did the best out of all of them - obviously performance-wise AND even dance-wise... the voting is proving to be really off... for people are saying "others was better" and "tap dancing is difficult" etc etc, do you guys really think the audience voted based on what they thought was difficult? sure other people might have different opinions and think that other performers did better, but obviously a majority of the people here think that rocky DID do the best...so a difference of 20 votes compared to everyone else's score? is this a popularity vote? something's really wrong here
Talent should NOT be based on years of experience OR age, it should be based on what's right in fucking FRONT of you. Even though Rocky only debuted this year, it's safe to say that he's EASILY top ten when it comes to dancers in Kpop, considering that he knows a vast majority of dance styles and ROCKS at them too. (pun heavily intended)
i need to stan this guy, he's so talented. tbh i'm quite dissapointed on the audience tho he need's a praise, if he were in some what international competion he'll win honestly. his facial expression is on point tho 👌

honnestly I only know him by his name and bcz he's a Astro member, I mean I'm not stanning them or what, but I mean he's quite very young and he dances almost like a pro, the facial expressions, the acting and the choreo who is quite hard, and he just debut like not even 1 year?? If it was Taemin or what I would be like "he's amazing but he also have a lot of experience in dance". I wont say anything else except I'm very impressed and I hope this kid will shine as he deserved later
I've been a fan of Rocky since Astro's mini drama 'To Be Continued'. He has a dance scene in that, really smooth, RNB-vibe, and so so sensual, and I was instantly hooked, because he was just soooooo feaking good. That, and soooo attractive. Imagine my surprise when I found out that he can also tap dance, do ballet, contemporary, b-boy, AND Taekwondo. I was like ahhhh shiitttt, this boy's got a new fan! Then I found out he's a 99-liner.... and I just... Like.... are you serious? This guy's only 17?!??!?! Park Minhyuk's talented beyond his years, and I soo want people to recognize him more for that. He's choreographed for ASTRO (the group he's in), 5urprise, Hello Venus, and he was even the assistant choreographer for Six Packs (UDF stage). I wanted him to be on Hit The Stage so much, so when I discovered, he was, I was really excited! Although I'm disappointed with him getting such a low score, I'm just glad he's getting recognition from people watching this show. He definitely deserved a higher score though. His skills, stage presence, and facial expressions slayed me! I hope he continues to be on the show! Give Rocky and ASTRO much love! Check them out!

The audience of this show leans too much on the "rookie" and "sunbae" title of the contestants... But honestly speaking this is one of the best, if not the BEST performance I have seen on Hit The Stage. Not only his dance moves were great, he didn't just stick with one dance genre, he did everything and on top of that, he perfectly mimicked The Mask's iconic facial expressions. I hope this video blows up all around the world because even if rookies may "lack experience", this huge talent deserves recognition
he himself has such a strong charisma when performing on stage you can see how passionate and confident he is when performing or about his craft in general. Born to be on stage, a worldwide superstar. Incredible at everything he puts his mind to, this man is one to do things the best he can with all his might, and i just admire that about him. Everything abt him deserves love & praise

라키 저때 18살이였나..? 미자였는데도 불구하고 진짜 무슨 뮤지컬하는 프로보는기분이였음.. 표정연기도 잘살리고 춤도 정말잘춤. 아이돌에서의 라키도 좋지만 이런 개인무대에서 진가가 발휘되는것같아서 이런 개인무대를 더 많이 해봤으면 좋겠다
Sad reality is that people never vote according to performances! Fans will always vote for their biases ,even if they didn't perform well. Same for music shows ,whichever group/idol has a larger fanbase will receive more votes.
i know😢😢😢😢 fans will always be fans and vote for their bias. they are unresponsible leuls . a good dancer will not win because of those kind of fans.
they should use professional judges and audience who major in dance.

Didn't know about Rocky until today and I'm seriously shocked he got a score of 134 on this perf. They need to get rid of audience voting because obviously the audience isn't gonna have any expertise on dancing, it just makes no damn sense. Also, no hard feelings against Shonwu but I watched his first then Rocky's and I absolutely believe Rocky should have won, Rocky had way more facial expression and creativity in his dance over Shonwu's.
It's the third time rookies have been robbed (Ten and Momo in previous episodes received way too little points too). I completely agree with you - Mnet should just hire professionals to judge performances, because now it's more like "Hit the fangirls/fanboys" not "Hit the stage", but it's not the first time they fucked up their shows .-.
I'm even starting to think that the audience voting is the point of the whole show.... not to sound any pessimistic or anything 😊

they now have judges votes in addition to audience voting. Rocky got a 7 from the judges.

To those who isn't aware who he is, he is Rocky from ASTRO!
He's a 99 liner, but he choreographed two of his own group's songs (Morning Call & Fireworks) and also his seniors' (5urprise & Hello Venus). He also took part in Korea's Got Talent when he was 12. I recommend watching his Moving Mountain (by USHER) cover, he also choreographed the dance and there were THREE OF HIM. AND HE WAS SO IN SYNC WITH HIMSELF IT'S AMAZING.

He is Rocky from Astro, 17 years old. He started to learn dancing when he was pretty young and has now learned Hip-Hop, tap dance, jazz, contemporary/modern and ballet. He always wants to try new things though. Rocky has choreographed two dances for his own group and helped with title song choreographies and also helped choreographing dances for his sunbaes (5urprise and Hello Venus). He is definitely, definitely capable of more! I love this stage, and I'm a little sadden that he got such low points. But nonetheless, I know Rocky's a super talented dancer beyond his years! I hope you want more dancing videos of him because he is so amazing at dancing!

I haven't been paying much attention to rookie groups but damn this dancer from ASTRO has my attention! That dancing was superb! And damn impressive!! Seems like he dances a lot better than some of the other competitors, although I'm sad to hear he received such a low score~~ But their expressions...I think I see fear in their eyes, I'm sure everyone was impressed whether they wanted to admit it or not~ ;)
i've watched the entire episode and honestly, rocky did the best out of all of them - obviously performance-wise AND even dance-wise... the voting is proving to be really off...
for people are saying "others was better" and "tap dancing is difficult" etc etc, do you guys really think the audience voted based on what they thought was difficult? sure other people might have different opinions and think that other performers did better, but obviously a majority of the people here think that rocky DID do the best...so a difference of 20 votes compared to everyone else's score? is this a popularity vote? something's really wrong here
The audience is voting on why fits the concept the most and tbh this performance didn't really fit the concept 'Uniform'
Talent should NOT be based on years of experience OR age, it should be based on what's right in fucking FRONT of you. Even though Rocky only debuted this year, it's safe to say that he's EASILY top ten when it comes to dancers in Kpop, considering that he knows a vast majority of dance styles and ROCKS at them too. (pun heavily intended)

honnestly I only know him by his name and bcz he's a Astro member, I mean I'm not stanning them or what, but I mean he's quite very young and he dances almost like a pro, the facial expressions, the acting and the choreo who is quite hard, and he just debut like not even 1 year?? If it was Taemin or what I would be like "he's amazing but he also have a lot of experience in dance". I wont say anything else except I'm very impressed and I hope this kid will shine as he deserved later

I've been a fan of Rocky since Astro's mini drama 'To Be Continued'. He has a dance scene in that, really smooth, RNB-vibe, and so so sensual, and I was instantly hooked, because he was just soooooo feaking good. That, and soooo attractive. Imagine my surprise when I found out that he can also tap dance, do ballet, contemporary, b-boy, AND Taekwondo. I was like ahhhh shiitttt, this boy's got a new fan! Then I found out he's a 99-liner.... and I just... Like.... are you serious? This guy's only 17?!??!?! Park Minhyuk's talented beyond his years, and I soo want people to recognize him more for that. He's choreographed for ASTRO (the group he's in), 5urprise, Hello Venus, and he was even the assistant choreographer for Six Packs (UDF stage). I wanted him to be on Hit The Stage so much, so when I discovered, he was, I was really excited! Although I'm disappointed with him getting such a low score, I'm just glad he's getting recognition from people watching this show. He definitely deserved a higher score though. His skills, stage presence, and facial expressions slayed me! I hope he continues to be on the show! Give Rocky and ASTRO much love! Check them out!

Rocky was the best of the day talking about dance. Too bad it doesnt fit the concept at all, the rest of the perfs were a little boring, just Bora did something unusual but its wasnt as amazing either. For me:

The audience of this show leans too much on the "rookie" and "sunbae" title of the contestants... But honestly speaking this is one of the best, if not the BEST performance I have seen on Hit The Stage. Not only his dance moves were great, he didn't just stick with one dance genre, he did everything and on top of that, he perfectly mimicked The Mask's iconic facial expressions. I hope this video blows up all around the world because even if rookies may "lack experience", this huge talent deserves recognition
