I have one of these and with your help it is up and running fine. Thank you for your great videos. One question. Do you know what the usb port is for? mine doesn't power the board, and while the computer sees it, it does not recognize it.

The DSO138 is a development kit actually, I think it can be used to program the CPU, or communicate to other devices/PC via USB. But I have no info about it.

    1. Hissing/ beep sound coming from the device.
    2. Test rectangle signal is not flat at peaks (I am using 9v supply from buck module).
    Any help ? :)

I think that you mean 'probe compensation' not probe calibration.

just wondering. got this on the way, most for funsies. but i thought.. what do you use to calibrate it? not that i think it´s much for use, but would be fun if it showed the correct numbers

It's not the numbers, but the edges of the square wave. They should be a sharp 90˚, not spike up or be rounded.

Would a non metal screw driver make any difference in the calibration?

On ne règle pas un condensateur ajustable avec un tournevis métallique. Il faut toujours utiliser un tournevis en plastique, car le métal modifie le réglage.

You cannot adjust an adjustable capacitor with a metal screwdriver. Always use a plastic screwdriver, as the metal alters the setting."

on mine and yours also. It seems as though adjusting C6 really doesn't do anything? The C4 adjustment I can clearly see in your video and on my unit the change in the waveform as you adjust C4, but changing to 1 volt and X1 my waveform looks correct and C6 adjustment really doeesn't change the waveform any. Mine looks identical to yours in the adjustments of C4 but C6 really doesn't seem to change anything. Also on mine, my trigger level readout always stays at 0 volts no matter where any of my sensitivity switches are.

I don't have that top line that is in the waveform, it's like my waveform is too high on the screen. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix that?

Hi. on the right and left of the waveform you will see a small white triangle (probably in the center of the screen going up and down. press your select button to highlight the triangle on the left hand side and then press plus or minus and that arrow will move up and down. It is positioning the trace in the vertical direction. Notice in the video his white triangle is down towards the bottom of the viewing screen. He has had to change his vertical position to get the waveform to view properly. Hopw this helps.
