She is probably one of the most talented singers in the history of recorded music. Impeccable training (i've never heard her out of tune), she can sing literally any style, has a daunting range and can do all those vocal acrobatics with twice as much control and precision as the 'lead singers' who are more famous for them. It's really rare that someone so genuinely talented is so humble about their gift. :)

When I saw her in the documentary, she instantly became the star of it, in my eyes (and to my ears). She makes love to the music, simply lol!

How the heck does one learn an entire concert tour catalogue of music especially if you are not familiar with that band and their music to begin with...back vocalists are brilliant (and usually way more talented than the artists they are backing for)...learning one song is not easy, imagine learning 20 songs for a tour...anxiety..

I know it's not done to compare artists but... take the vocal skills of Whitney, Dionne Warwick, Patti Labelle and Mariah Carey and roll them into a single package and you get Lisa Fischer! The soul work Lisa has (must have) done as a vocalist for the likes of Luther, Chaka, Sting, Patti, Tina and the Rolling Stones seems to have brought Lisa to a soul-place which is beautiful, inspiring, warming and elevating to be around - and thank you Q for bringing us a taste of this. This woman is fabulous. Beautiful inside and out. She’s the embodiment of what an artist is and even more so what a human being should be. She has character to go along with it. She demands respect without demanding it. She’s always on point, understanding her purpose, talented, intelligent, spiritual, humorous, stylish, sexy, she would fit in (in any era) any time, anywhere (timeless) - trust me, she’s intriguing. She has the wisdom of God and the ancestors do not mind sharing information with her. She has a beautiful smile. I love to hear her talk and sing. She’s surely gifted, but she understands her “dominant gift”. On top of all of that; she’s gracious and humble, but many others with much less - “think” they are better - when they are not. I could go on and on, but I won’t. She needs to teach classes in: “how to keep your ego hidden”.

The vehicle of being a superstar is not for everyone. She’s a perfect example of that. Artist already have to undressed themselves and then present their craft as it’s perfection. I never believed her as being that IT girl. She didn’t want to deal with the pressure of releasing the second album.

Vocally and harmony wise I don't think anyone to this day can touch her. She is all soul with incredible technique that she is a Master at. Truly a wonder of the world.I just wish she would really get some material that is deeper and sonically entertaining. Like NIN!?
