@@dissilymordentroge5818 I don't think Lisa Fischer is allergic to the recording studio but rather the record companies - and from previous experience after her 1st and only album ("So Intense") who would blame her. She is very much in demand as a session singer for other artists and has made a lot of money doing just that. A record company/contract would demand a new release about every 18 months, promotion of that record and if the album did not sell say more than 500,000 she'd probably be dropped. Also, unless she wrote most of the songs on the album she would not make much money from royalties - case in point were the girl groups En Vogue and TLC who sold millions of records but made very little money. Most performers make their living from touring not albums that's why the Rolling Stones are still touring way into their 70s. Let's enjoy Lisa Fischer while she is still able to tour.
Lisa is very talented and everyone knows it. She's happy with what she's doing and that's very humble of her. As long as she's happy doing what she does that's all that matters in life. Fame and Fortune are not the most the most important things in life.
I truly wish talented singers had a highly visible platform. I don't turn on the radio anymore and there are only two stations on Sirius worth listening to for singing.
How I wish I were there. What a wonderful tribute and birthday celebration for the late great Luther Vandross. Lisa Fisher and Pat Lacey sound AMAZING!
Lisa what a honor for me to be allowed to say how much I love you and all of Luther's Angels! If you sung, performed, wrote, or worked with my fantasy Luther R Vandross you have my ultimate respect. Love you all and hope too one day be in your presence. PS. Please do a reunion tour, I WILL BE THERE WITH BELLS ON. ROCHELLE CHAPMAN FAN FOR LIFE 💕
@@ClaytonBryantSings look!!!! I was already living and the dance break took me over the edge!! Thats literally (for some) a once in a lifetime opportunity to do this and you took advantage! lol.
Thank you so much for posting these live performances of Luther Vandross' songs with the various background vocalists singing them who work with him! The vocalists sound excellent! :)
The audience….😂😂😂 They’re part of the performance too. Their comments got me lmao! They were probably drunk, but now I can’t imagine this performance without their comments. 😂😂
Luther Vandross came to mind today...was wonder what happend to his estate ect .... starting googling came upon his niece Seveda Williams & the Fandross page and youtube channel..... love it....
Good to see Nat Adderley Jr still around L>V's music, was he luthers musical director !? he was always around , like ricky minor was Whitney's for a long time', not sure if that's byron miller on bass , Great performances all round
Nat Adderly, Jr., Lisa Fischer, and Luther's background singers back again....Luther is smiling wide in heaven. You are missed Luther!
I don't think Lisa is an underrated singer. Everybody knows she has an incredible voice, she just choose a less commercial career path.
Lisa is talented and humble. She's satisfied in what she's doing now and that's what matters in life.
Lisa is ssssooooooooo underrated. She is a legend. this is singing.
EXAAAAACTLY! I get mad she doesn't get the recognition she deserves!
@@laneshiamartinez9985 You can blame Liza herself in that she appears to have a long standing allergy to the recording studio.

Wish there could be a Tv special or on-line concert where ALL the alumni could get together and just CELEBRATE LUther!
@bristolstomp that would be great. I don't think there has been a Programme/Film honouring Luther since he died in 2005.
Tune in here on 4/20, Luther's 70th for a special treat...
