My heart always skips a beat when I see a video over 30 minutes-it means I’m going to learn a lot! Watching you get stuck-and then unstuck-is also incredibly educational. Please don’t stop doing longer videos from time to time and please never feel bad for getting stuck: it helps all of us learners out here immensely.

This puzzle nearly broke me and I almost gave up after I broke it several times. But I managed to get it in 32:08. Thank you for these videos and the explanations! I've learned a lot since I started doing them since the end of January as I was quite rusty.

I was stuck-stuck at the same place, until you showed me the way with the "NYT trick" in box 2. That got me unstuck. Thanks!! Today I'm glad I often stop the timer when I start the puzzle in order to avoid knowing how long these puzzles take, LOL.

The 2358 bothered me too! I was happy to make it go away. Thanks as always.

Once I filled in many cells, not getting anywhere, I ended filling them all, then saw the triple which cracked it!

I got the 7 in R3C6, but just couldn't see the triples. Stalled, I watched the video and saw the light! Finished it myself just to make sure that I hadn't made any mistakes. Too embarrassed to reveal the total time! Very helpful video. Thanks.

This was indeed harder than they've been recently. I broke the puzzle with a mistake on my first pass and nailed it with my second. Spoiler follows...

I immediately saw an NYT-Trick for c1 from Box 4 yielding a naked quintuple and a resulting naked 3 at r6c2 in box 2. That led to a hidden triple in Box2 c1 that immediately resolved to a naked 4 in r4c1 and a 5,6 pair in the other two cells of c1. That led me to center-mark the 4 open cells in c3 -- those immediately collapsed to two naked digits and a 5,8 pair in r1c3 and r9c3. The 8,9 pair in c1 (from cleaning up the NYT Trick) removed the 8 and placed the 5 in r9,c3 and then the 8 in r1c3. The rest of stack1 nearly resolved. My usual corner-marking then resulted in most of band 3 finishing. I then started on center-marking and immediately found the 2,4,6 triple in r2. The rest of my solve collapsed from there.
I had a 21 minute solve on my second pass, quite fast for me -- but of course I wasn't explaining anything (I could NEVER do what you do!).
This puzzle had several interesting keys, including that triple in r2, the 1,2 pair in r9, and in my case the NYT Trick on C1.

At 28:30 those 4/9s in box 5 and 8 should exclude any 4s or 9s from cell 8 in box 5 right? It didn't help me much but just a little bit. I got completely stuck and had to watch the part where you found the 1/5/7 trick in row 2. Thanks for your thoughtful explanation! Love your videos

35 Minutes is a Loooooooong video for the New York Times puzzle.

If you watched the video you would understand the length. My daily solves are intended to be instructive for people who want to learn how to solve these. I'm not trying to impress with a fast time, as it would serve little value. I can only interpret your comment as being unkind at best, and a combination of being rude and bullying at worst. I don't tolerate that on my channel, so consider yourself warned.

I did watch the video after it took "ME" a good half hour to find the 246 Triple in Row Two... I'm like you, in that I would prefer to just "SEE" the logic without first pencil-marking the whole grid to find where the next logical step is... I felt a lot better when I saw the video length, because I was starting to think I may have made a mistake and broken the puzzle... My comment was *NOT* intended to be an insult. I like this channel.@@Rangsk
