A couple of small things - as mentioned by the SU team put all the fast settings into a style that you like and set that style to a scene which you then save as you default. Secondly you might do a second video looking at issues outside of SU that slow down design. I always use simple Windows setup. Minimise bootup routines. I also disable any devices and software that I don’t need I reboot at tea time to get rid of terminated but still resident software (SU uses software that switches code in and out of memory as used, and accumulated a history of past actions and model changes). Then there is hardware to considered.

Also using subdivision surface modelling methods will speed up your models (and make them smaller size). SubD is a perfect plugin for that. There's also Artisan.

You'll have to go to Windows > Model Info > Statistics > Purge unused. This will get rid of all the residual from unused models and will speed up the modeling process. Hope it helps

Hi I'm having some problems whereby sketchup is is lagging when I am panning from the left to right of a simple box. I have just downloaded sketch up on fresh install and I believe my build should exceed the minimum requirements using a 2080ti and i9 9900kf. Unsure what else I can do.
Thanks but no thanks. This tricks are so old since sketchup7 or older... Just buy more ram and a better high single clock cpu you can by and ir possible a good gpu OpenGL support.

Nice tips! I think you forgot one thing. Using proxy geometries. Using Fredo Ghost Comps is also very useful in that regard

Plugin name is : "AMS Window Settings" and "AMS Library" also required just like "LibFredo6"

please make sure your model's profiles turn off,
it's the main and common reason.
check your graphics driver.Is your hard disk utilization full.?

even with fast graphics and cpu your model may be slow if you are working with heavier models like urban desin etc...
