- Finally got a chance to make a few passes on this 2023 F150 2wd 5.0L with 3.31 gears. The truck is completely stock with full weight, spare tire, and even a full tank of gas. i did install a Corsa Extreme Exhaust. I was blown away by how well the truck performed even with the steal wheels and skinny tires. While racing it was 80° - 85° The DA was 1700. Big plans for this truck in the future. This is only the beginning.

I’m a diehard Chevy fan but I couldn’t agree more, absolutely love mustangs and f150s with the 5.0
@@Dylanclemmer315 not only that if you leave them totally stock they are pretty reliable as well. I know a few people with flawless 100k mile 5.0 f150s
What I find amazing about these trucks, is this is a better time than I was running with my 2002 Harley-Davision addition with supercharger and mods. The best I ever ran was 14.3 at 98.
I still have my 2004 Lightning, and when I drove it down the track completely stock it ran 13.8 at 100. So I completely understand what you mean. Technology has gotten crazy in today's world. I can't wait to see what a tune and tires will do on this truck.
@@fast5.0l18you’ll dip into the 12’s with a tune if you’re flex fuel and get that corn juice in there
Nice run! I'm enjoying my 5.0 with 3.31 as well.
Thanks. They're awesome trucks for sure.
Damn I can't wait to get mine!!
So much fun!!!!!
God damn that thing moves
Lol. That's what I was saying. Can't wait to see what it does when I put weld wheels and M/T tires on it.
Sweet 👍👍👍
I just traded my tuned and modded Subaru Ascent for a 2024 F150 Crew Cab Lariat with the 5.0. Son, this thing cooks. Left a Z28 Camaro light to light, twice and gave him the jump on the second go. I drive it in ECO mode 99% of the time, but one click left to Sport mode and she gone😂
To take traction control completely off, hold the traction control button in. Enjoy!🎉
awesome !!!!
awesome run. i have a 2023 Ford F150 xt sport crew cab v8. Im blown away by this coyote when u floor it.
I couldn't agree more. my other truck is a 2019 STX crew cab. it's got a 3.15 gear ratio. With just a tune I managed a 13.48 in it. you can see it in one of my other videos. Have fun Bro.🏎💨💯
So are all the Ram boys that be silly enough to run one from a light😂
Amazing video , keep the posting more for same track 🔥
Yes sir we sure will. Hopefully will be back at the track in March
Nice!!!
Thanks 👍👍
Excited to get my new to me, twin to your truck, except for a 3.73 locker, to the track! Only other difference, is drag radials... nice r/t by the way!
thanks. these trucks are alot of fun. I plan on doing a 3/5 VAS drop around August then ill go back to the track with some drag radials as well.
Impressive runs for a stock truck.
I think so too
i just picked up the same truck this month with the same trim and everything just in iconic grey, i didn’t even know my own truck could do that
that's awesome.... your going to love it. I was actually impressed as well. With a little better D.A. it would definitely be a little faster. next time out I'll put some real tire on it and see what it will do with some stickies. hopefully I'll get a tune for it by the end of the year.
It’s crazy how much time and money people spent on going trying to go fast until the 5.0 + 10 speed
Yes it really is 🏎💨💯
That's pretty good. My 22 crew cab stock also with a Corsa catback ran 14.0@96 (Dragy) stock. My dragy is usually almost dead on with the track....maybe 0.1 to 0.05s slower. I think with a tire only you can run 12s. Shit...my stock 14 Mustang GT ran 12.9@108 stock on street tires. You are not too far from that.
I'm guessing you launched in 4x4 to get a 14.0. my 2019 crew cab 2wd with 3.15 gear did 14.98 when it was bone stock. with a tune only I've gotten the truck to a 13.46. you can see it in another video of mine.
@@fast5.0l18 Yes...launched in 4x4.
Earned a follower! I’m building one too
Awesome. These trucks are a ton of fun.
From lufkin to , got a lowered white single cab 2023 , clean truck
awesome maybe I'll see you there one of these days.
@@fast5.0l18yea I work a lot but you got a instagram ?
@@fast5.0l18yessir you got a insta ?
Its not a coyote motor folks because its just a shared platform but its a 5.0 version of its old 4.6 shared in the day with crown vic and has full E85 whereas the mustangs 5.0 is not E85. Different heads, cams, crank, and a kevlar drive belt instead of chain and afm/dod since 2021 and not the same 10 spd as Mustang. Camaro has 10L90 mustang has 10R80 and so on. The camaros a10 trans is very different than the mustangs. I have had both. The mustang gt is much quicker above 80 mph but the low end tq of the camaro is king down low. Sad thing is you can do rear gears on thw mustang, like a 2.73, 293, 3.08 3.27, 3.31 or 3.55, 3.71 in the auto but nothing in camaro.
you can also do 3.15 gear as well.
Triton V8 such as 4.6L and 5.4L have always been the grandfather of what we know today in my opinion.
holy crap! you need a truck for that return road lmao
Yeah the people that just bought the track have plans during the off season to repave the return road. track was run in the ground by previous 2 owners.
13s in a stock truck! That's nuts!
yeah.... and on skiny tires at that. lol it's crazy what technology can do now. got to love it.
The track I race at is a mile high. Very hard for any pickup to get into the 13s. S550 Mustangs run about the same time you did in your truck.
yeah I know it's unfortunate. but is crazy getting to see the potential of what these trucks can do. I can go 3 tenths fast just by going 2.5 hrs south to Houston. if I go 3 hrs north to Dallas I'll lose 2 tenths.
@@fast5.0l18 There is a pickup just like yours and it runs 10.6. Here in Colorado it takes boost to go fast.
Great time, you're hitting the speed limiter in the 1/4 mile. My 22 crew cab 4wd shuts down at 103 too. I've done a 13.6@100 stock with the 3.5 & 3.31 gears. Are you running e85?
I made this run as legit as I could. Full interior, spare tire, spray-in bed liner, a 80lb bed cover, and a full tank of gas. 93 octane. truck weighed 4013lbs before bed cover was installed. Next time I go to the track I'll drop the spare, put E-85 in the tank and run it on about ¼ tank. I have some weld wheels going on. I believe the truck will do a 13.0 if the D.A. can drop down.
I’m interested in that phone mount you got hanging from the rear view mirror!
I bought it off of Facebook. one of those little random sales add. If you search cell phone holders a whole bunch of them will pop up. This one was $15 and I've had it about 2 years. It's the only holder I've ever found that would fit a S23 Ultra with a cover one. I'll look and see if I can find the exact one and tell you the name brand.
It's called
360° Car Rearview Mirror Mount.

hope this helps.
Love the video where are you located?
I'm located around Nacogdoches Texas. This is the track in Diboll about 40 miles from me.
I live out in Dallas Texas! We should do a video together one day!
That is so fast for a stock pickup....
I couldn't agree more.
What did you do to get rid of the speed limiter ?
I haven't got rid of it yet you can hear the truck hit the limiter at the end of the track. I do know that if you use Forscan you can change tire size and truck the ECM therefore get a few more MPH.
Someone tried arguing with me the other day when i said these new reg cabs are running mid to low 13’s bone stock. He said those were “hero numbers”, and thats not common 😂
With a good D.A. I'm positive this truck would be 13.30's. I have a friend that bought a 2023 4-door 4x4 and launched at 3000 and went 13.33 and still had paper tags on the truck.
Do you happen to know what’s done to the other truck you raced?
At the time we race all he had done was 3/5 drop. better wheels and tires. and E-85. This was a pretty even match up. same truck specs. Just Gen 3 and Gen 4 platform. Side note ..... I even raced with a completely full tank of fuel. (93 octane)
i have a 2022 5.0 4x4 3.73 gear my best time is 13.7 @ 100mph but my 60ft is 2.006
you might try a 2k and a 3k launch in 4 high. it should drop you down to 1.80's and 13.30's. that what I've seen from others.
Why did you choose 3.31? All the 5.0 single cabs near me have 3.73
3.31 has been proven to be the go to gearing for trucks using Suoercharger.
N/A truck have done great things with 3.55 gears. and to be honest I've never actually seen a truck with 3.73 gears in person. I bet that will set you back in the seat pretty hard. So yeah plans are to get truck lowered this year 3/5 VAS Specialties and will be doing a Whipple. looking to be around 700hp. nothing super crazy just something to have fun at the track. my 2019 CCSB you can see in other videos will be set up for the Texas mile. it has 3.15 gears.
Mine has a 3:73 and it’s the sleeper truck I spent $11,500 to have the supercharger . It’s also got the 3 five lowering control arms . Look up a lighting bolt same setup . As a Corvette owner and a 99 Dakota RT owner it’s a bad bad to the bone truck . Will make my drag racing buddy’s laugh and scream at the same time lol
Wait until you tune it , day and night even with the stock manifold
Bro I can't wait. It's gonna be nothing but smiles for sure.
I have the same exact truck. Only did a muffler delete, 20” wheels and the 1.5” Ford Performance rear drop. Are you racing with your locker engaged? I ran a very similar F150 two weeks ago and pulled him hard. It feels fast! I haven’t tried to launch yet with locker engaged.
I’ve seen our trucks run as high as 12.90’s completely stock.
I made 3 passes on the truck.
1st pass no locker with soft launch and it went 13.66.
2nd Pass I did locker with 1000 rpm launch turned advanced track off and went 13.50.
3rd pass did the same with about 1700-1800 on launch and went 13.58
zero burnouts and good prep track.
85°F and D.A. about 1800.
next video I do will be with weld wheels on 305 M/T ET street R. and see if it will touch 13.0
@fast5.0l18 how do you use the locker? Is there a switch for it?
Push the drivemode button @@JoseRamirez-sb6zi
Is that a 40K regular cab 2wd work truck?
yes this is basically a 2wd work truck package. special ordered with the most basic features you can get. rubber floors. doesn't even come with xm radio. even tried to order with crank windows but wasn't an option.
Very nice sir. I jusy bought one same color and 2wd @@fast5.0l18
Any updates on this truck ?
nothing else has been done yet. I got some weld wheels and will have a 3/5 VAS drop on it by the end of summer. I will be going back to the track to look at times and do some dyno pulls to see where truck is at. Hopefully by end of this year it will have Whipple and tuned. that is the goal this year.
@fast5.0l18 very nice sir! Keep us updated very nice truck
What will the 4wd run
the 4wd will definitely move faster under a hard launch. I've heard it can do 13.10's with perfect conditions
E locker or open diff?
it has an E-locker. without.the locker it went 13.62. made two passes with e-locker and launched at 1000rpm and 1600rpm and didnt spin.
@@fast5.0l18sweet! I have a crew cab 5.0 with an E-locker. I have discovered that with it engaged I have way harder launches. I do have mine tuned as well. I would love to take it to a drag strip one day.
@@CactusJack252 so you don’t think it’s really hard on the locker? I have heard folks say it was
@@paulhunter9613 I don't think so. I never brake torque it though. I always slam the gas from a dead stop.
@@CactusJack252 what size and kind of tires do you have on the truck? Factory tires?
Just got approved to get me one.. just a matter of signing my life away...lol
How do you like it so far?
Just everyday driving..
This truck is surprisingly great a gas mileage. between 23-24 mpg just rolled 7000 miles. I have plans to do 3/5 drop when by March and "HOPEFULLY" I'll get a Whipple by August. Again only mod on it so far is a Corsa Extreme exhaust.
Congrats and good luck with your truck coming your way. 🏎💨💯
@@fast5.0l18 I appreciate the feedback.. and congrats to you as well👊🏻
Well my 6900 lb 4x4 4 door Cybertruck is gonna run in the 10's so this is kinda sad. Lol
Awesome. Maybe it will get more than a 100 miles before you have to recharge it.
@@fast5.0l18 340 miles actually. I mean don't get me wrong, I like a V8 as much as anybody, (own 9 mustangs) but Evs are the future. And as far as them being "boring" they aren't any more boring than the next loud, screaming, smoking, stripped down to nothing POS that runs a whopping 12 sec qt mile. Lol
@davecrosscybertruckvsevery785 ilk definitely be impressed if it can get that many miles. seeing is believing, though. We will always need ice vehicles. electric can play a part but it won't change the world.
1. Nobody asked
2. That thing is ugly as all fuck
3. Thank you, thank you very much
need 430 gears
I would definitely need a tune first. I'm already hitting.the speed limiter.
Our 5.0L Coyotes are the best and the fastest 1/2 ton V8’s you can get.
could not agree more. 👍 👏
@@fast5.0l18f150 5.0 for daily driving does it matter if it's 3.31 or 3.73?
Well, my “bone stock” Expedition with 3.5L eco and 3.73 gears beats that easily.
Stock for stock that 3.5L is a monster. no denying that. 3.73 gears got to have that thing launching like crazy.
Won’t out run my 2024 5.0 mine has a supercharger and slicks and spraying it bring it on lol 😂
Did the trucks have to be rebuilt after the race?
no the truck is completely stock the you buy it from the Ford dealership
