Love the mk5, happy to see you guys return to this platform! I have an 08 fsi and love it to death! I recommend going OEM MK6 Golf R struts with h&k lowering springs. You'll have a great ride with a nice drop, unless you plan to track it then deff get a good set of adjustable coilovers. Also the 02Q transmission is pretty stout but if you're going big turbo I would definitely throw an LSD at it to get that power down! Looking forward to it!

I got 1 of them to same color 2006 [ Tornado Red ] .....Mine has sunroof ,DSG Trans.....had it for 5 yrs going to get to start working on it this coming up summer...... Fun car....going for 500 wheel hps....wish me luck....

Previous owner here - just wanted to let you guys know it was NOT XLR8 who did the work on the front end most recently. Sorry to see that the job wasn’t done well at the local shop who put the new front springs and new tires on (they weren’t my selection)! Can’t wait to watch the progress on the build - good luck!
Nice they’re truly reliable cars when taken care of! But yes this one is so slow compared to my stage 2 one back in the day so we plan to bigger turbo it and make it a small little rocket

I don’t know if you remember me from other comments, but unfortunately I’m selling my mk5 as I don’t have the funds to fix it anymore… anyway, i will stay and follow what u do to a car I love
my buddy has a 2016 gti dsg, that thing boggies on e30. one of the best handling cars ive been in while on tail of the dragon. in a straight line it even takes down scat packs and other vehciles of that class
2008 2.0tfsi dsg stage 2 Jetta Wolfsburg here. A but rusty on the lower front fenders, but running good with 135k miles, great cheap point A to point B car with some kick.
Hell yeah, couldn’t agree more! We had a 08 fsi gti and it was dsg and stage 2 and it was an absolute blast. Like you said it was cheap and gets you to where you want to go in a quick little way
@@RatchetWrenches Other then the hpfp cam follower wearing down and valve cover failing it is a solid engine as long as you keep the timing belt, engine oil, and dsg oil chang regularly. Slacking on regular maintenance leads to big problems.
Mods wise not at this current moment but we’re gonna be taking it to the track this weekend, so we’ll be making a video on that. Some races, what kind of mods would you like to see?
Okay that awesome! You guy really pretty much did everything I could think of to do to it already, other that put a flex fuel kit to run E85. I’d love to see some pull and digs with it, those are always fun! You guys have some of the best S3 videos I’ve seen keep up the good work

Hopefully picking up my first car on Monday it’s an 07 dsg with 66k miles and a clean title fingers crossed 🤞🏼
