X-men Red #1 is AMAZING.
Fun fact, the Phoenix as a cosmic entity was entirely the fault of TPTB, because Claremont originally intended for the Phoenix to be the full manifestation of her actual potential - and wherein there are those personality/stability issues. However, the phoenix "force" was deus ex machina-ed in because TPTB were uncomfortable with the idea of a protagonist character essentially committing genocide after going out of her mind and THEN being rehabilitated. I think she's my favorite the most when she's at her most human - when she's playing her role as mentor to some of the younger female mutants or when she, Storm, and Rogue are BFFs. I do wish that she'd get better writing though so that the entire "her biggest contribution to the story is getting killed off" isn't so sadly true. >
My Favorite Super Hero! I love her.
Very good class session but not 100% accurate. Jean Grey is one of my favorite heroes and I can't wait to see what they do with her now that she's back alive without the phoenix. X men red #1 was good. I can't wait to see what they do with her.
thank you guys, this lesson gave me a new appreciation for Jean Grey.
Love Jean Grey
i thought the reason beast went back in time was to show cyclops his younger self and show him how far he has fallen [in beasts eyes]
also. are all of the episodes of "history of" not on here. you make references to previous episodes sometimes and i can't find them?
cyclops was right
X-Men 101 When Phoenix emerges from the water was my first issue of X-men when I was 12.

Introducing Matt Berry as Professor X
This sounds like someone who knew nothing about Jean Grey's history just read a bunch of stuff on Wikipedia about her back, semi-accurately.
Love jean
im a bit late to this but i love it so far the tv show in the 90s is awesome and so is x men eveloution which i now want to watch again
As for the X-Men's Gold Team. isn't Banshee the leader for the Gold Team?
How do you find someone who is so equally highly well-versed in your chosen geekdom? is it just random chance?
Nice narration guys. Please update it, Jean's already alive by now, THE REAL ONE who died 10 yrs ago lol. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee
X-Men's Blue Team does rule.
X-Men Red is Jean Grey at her best without the Phoenix Force
Ashley Robinson stop with the middle name
nice litt;e history, but i loved her 4ever.
In my opinion the all new Jean Grey has been the most interesting Jean Grey in all of existence Just Saying
late for class my bad teach
This is the issue with all comics especially xmen .. to me xmen is the best part of marvel but its just too much they need to really reduce all the best stories and reinvent them in a awesome animated series like the 1990s.
Jean Gray is the Kate Austen of the Xmen. outside of Phoenix she only exists to create love triangles and complicate storylines.
I always liked her, but I wanted her to ditch Scott, and begin a relationship with Logan. Scott was too reserved.
Vincent Franklin I rather she not be with Logan.
Na Emma frost better
Absolutely not jean grey outclasses Emma in every regard never say this again
You know nothing about this character just stop lol
