Fun fact, the Phoenix as a cosmic entity was entirely the fault of TPTB, because Claremont originally intended for the Phoenix to be the full manifestation of her actual potential - and wherein there are those personality/stability issues. However, the phoenix "force" was deus ex machina-ed in because TPTB were uncomfortable with the idea of a protagonist character essentially committing genocide after going out of her mind and THEN being rehabilitated. I think she's my favorite the most when she's at her most human - when she's playing her role as mentor to some of the younger female mutants or when she, Storm, and Rogue are BFFs. I do wish that she'd get better writing though so that the entire "her biggest contribution to the story is getting killed off" isn't so sadly true. >

Very good class session but not 100% accurate. Jean Grey is one of my favorite heroes and I can't wait to see what they do with her now that she's back alive without the phoenix. X men red #1 was good. I can't wait to see what they do with her.

i thought the reason beast went back in time was to show cyclops his younger self and show him how far he has fallen [in beasts eyes]
also. are all of the episodes of "history of" not on here. you make references to previous episodes sometimes and i can't find them?
    cyclops was right

This sounds like someone who knew nothing about Jean Grey's history just read a bunch of stuff on Wikipedia about her back, semi-accurately.

This is the issue with all comics especially xmen .. to me xmen is the best part of marvel but its just too much they need to really reduce all the best stories and reinvent them in a awesome animated series like the 1990s.

Jean Gray is the Kate Austen of the Xmen. outside of Phoenix she only exists to create love triangles and complicate storylines.

I always liked her, but I wanted her to ditch Scott, and begin a relationship with Logan. Scott was too reserved.
