Billy started performing around 76/7. The 70's had way more well written poprock songs than any other decade, but i agree the the 80's(when i got my first car) & started checking out live music was loads of crazy fun & unbelievable memories.

I recently saw Billy Idol, had VIP passes, met him and stood just feet away from him when he sang this song live. From the first note on, I listened to every single word in awe. He said this song is the story of his drug addiction years, which made every word even more amazing. It was very very POWERFUL ❤️

One week ago I was playing hockey and, at 40 years old, I had a stroke. Today my goal was to walk down the hospital hallway and back to my room. As I was slowly doing that, about halfway through, this song came on. Through all the frustration and the most pain I have ever felt in my life, this song motivated me to take that next step...and the next one...and the one after that until I finished my goal. That may sound like some feel-good platitude to some of you, and that's okay. To me. Today. This song meant EVERYTHING. Thank you for it. Thank you.

3 years ago i got a huge stroke. After a week at the hospital a remember that i stod up and crying and wonder, if i ever could listen to hardrock,specialy Amon Amarth. And talk to my kids,without headake.
And today, after three years iam 99% ok. But still crying too everything😊But i can live whit that.🤘🏻

It's amazing how a lot of the "older" artists seem to record pretty "blah" music just so they can put something out and continue to tour, putting more emphasis on the touring than quality of music. But everything I have heard from Billy's new record has been absolutely stellar! He just continues to pound out such incredible music!
Incredible? Compared to some of the material this guy has done. This is........incredible? I love Billy, but his career ended with that accident. I'm glad he's still making music, but let's face facts. This sounds like Mel Torme or Wayne Newton in Vegas.
Man, I started reading your original comment. This is blah from Billy, while some of his peers are putting out great music. I have a friend who is a huge fan, seen him in concert, and I played for her the new stuff from the first EP and she cringed. She didn't recognize his voice, and found the music blah. This stuff doesn't feel like Billy, but a wannabe crooner. I'm expecting 5 jazz albums to come next and for him to start wearing a suit. I heard Kenny G will be producing. LOL

Saw him live many times in London and last time was last month in Buenos Aires. Billy Idol along with Steve Stevens are the ultimate rockers. They are amazing at so many levels. I'm very thankful to them for everything that made me feel through my life! Rock on guys!

I thought Cage is the song of the year. But this one is building up perfectly, hits hard, hits deep, beautiful symphonic and power elements here and there and the vocal is so versatile fragile where it should be and kicks ass where it should. Wow what an emotional rollercoaster in one song! I'm in love!

Deceptively simple on the surface, this song has such depth. "The Jekyll to my Hyde" (not the other way around). "Don't you pray for me. It's too late for me. What can save me is night and day for me." I so hear this, great passion and poignant meaning. Though I'm loathe to admit it, I'm running from my ghost too.

Fuck Slash, an above average player who got lucky with global music corporates promoting him on steroids, Steve won a Grammy for 'Top Gun', has been loyal to Billy for a near half century. Steve and Tracii Guns ['Guns' is where the 'Guns' in GnR comes from] How many groups still write brilliant music today from the 80's? Not many.
