Fascia heals through scarring, and scar fibers need stress and functional movement to align properly and strengthen. Five key healing protocols I recommend for plantar fasciitis: 1. Keep moving… slowly. 2. No barefoot walking or wearing flip-flops. 3. Stop stretching your plantar fascia. Stretch your calves, not your feet. 4. Stop taking painkillers before exercise. 5. Eat healing foods rich in vitamin C, zinc, copper, and sulfur. Supplementing with these micronutrients can be helpful: *500mg vitamin C *10mg zinc *2mg copper *1g MSM (sulfur) *0.8 to 1g of protein per lb of body weight #fixyourfeet #plantarfasciitis #healing
I think you mean Altra shoes. Thank you for this!! No one has talked much about this and I had to learn this the hard way. It's been tough trying to find wide toe box WITH support. I'm a nurse who works 14 hour days sometimes and barefoot shoes would kill me on those days.
Thanks for this- thankfully I only suffer periodically with this nagging issue..true have found thicker sole shoes + quality arch inserts really help heal + prevent flare-ups.
I broke my ankle/leg last year and it didn't heal right. My range of motion is limited in my ankle. I have trouble finding information on ways to exercise or improve this. I've been through physical therapy for many weeks and it helped, but only to an extent.
Fused ankles can be challenging. Consulting a PT for targeted exercises is best. They can create a safe and effective routine for your specific situation. - YOGABODY Team
What house shoes do you wear? I don’t wear sneakers inside my house. If you can’t go bear foot or wear flip flops or don’t want to wear sneakers, then what’s a good brand to wear inside ?
I have never dealt with planter fasciitis until I fully ruptured my achilles tendon 9 months ago. Now I have this marble sized ball under the pad of my big toe. Nothing works. Scrapping tools, pokey balls, stretching, exercising. It’s just constant. Anyone have any tips?
u should only use these shoes temporarily. after a while u need to strengthen the foot and be more barefoot. u cant depend ur whole life on cushion when humans were made to walk on their feet

That's all super helpful. Except for my right ankle is fused. What can I do to help with that foot?

Great question! There are lots of house shoe options for plantar fasciitis. Birkenstocks or supportive slippers are popular choices.

Definitely see a podiatrist for that persistent pain. They can give specific advice.

My feet like that has partial numbness I don't know why
Definitely recommend talking to a doctor about the numbness in your feet. They can help you determine the cause.

Yup, heels work better than flats for this.
You just need to barefoot on earth.
It'll solve that problem 😊
