Thank you for this video. I bought it a few days ago and it's arriving soon. I was skeptical at first, so I decided to see some reviews. You have done an excellent job of telling us about it, and I feel reassured in my purchase.
Hi thanks for your comment I really apreciate it mate, it's a great projector for the money, if for any reason you are not happy with it, or there's something wrong with it, just reach out to wimius, and they will put things right! From my experiences with this company, they have been nothing but supportive. I hope you enjoy your new projector :)
Just brought this off amazon . It was on sale and with a discount coupon. Got it for £199 arriving tomorrow . Thank you for the video and all the information
I got this projector for a couple of weeks now. 2 things concern 1. 1 is the audio quality. need to turn up at level 70-90 /100 to hear it clearly so you may need to purchase a blutooth speaker. and 2nd you may need to purchase a fire stick to watch youtube or netflix.
Thanks for the feedback and the update on your purchase. You are correct. It's definitely better pairing it with a Bluetooth speaker and a fire stick. Are you enjoying it?
thanks for making the 1st English review regarding p62, i bought it on prime day for $92.2USD including shipping and gst to Australia that will arrive next weekend. After watching your video i am really happy that i made the right choice on this price point, specially considering it has autofocus and 500 ansi lumens which you usually get on expensive models.
Was going to buy the p64 because its brighter image plus it has hdr10 but I heard they are having problems with a bad batch the focus is blurry is there much difference with the picture quality on the p62.
Oh really I haven't heard anything about that. No the picture quality is pretty much equal, the P64 ANSI lumens on paper is slightly more.. but you wouldn't notice hardly any difference to be honest. From my experience of owning both projectors, they both have excellent sharpness across the board, and have an amazing picture to price ratio. Wimius projectors are pretty bang on when it comes to sharpness from my experience. But I will take your word for it buddy, I'm sure Wimius will solve them problems pretty quickly, I would say go for the P62 then if your worrying about the P64. From my experience Wimius have fantastic customer service, and if you have any problems they usually are pretty fast to respond and put things right. 🙂
Thanks for telling me could you tell me if the p62 supports hdr10 like the p64 does they did say the p62 can get very hot but the fan cools it down quickly.
@ReviewingHub just wanted to know as well my old projector is only 300 ansi and only 10000 contrast ratio will the p62 be much brighter and sharper with detail image.
I don't think you can access this menu with the top of the machines buttons from memory, so you will prob need the remote for this. By all means have a play with the buttons on the machine and see if you can get into the menu system and it should be under picture settings 🙂👍
Hiya, you have to retract the lens back using the focus buttons on the remote either manually to put the cap back on.. Or there is a setting on the projector that says shutdown lens reset. when you turn off the projector the lens will pull back and reset all on its own, back in the original position so you can put the lens cap back on. Hope this helps you 🙂👍
❤ Thanks for a complete and very usefull review. Your channel must be the best in its category not only in English language. In my case, I come from my mother tongue, Castillian (aka Spanish). I subscribed to Hub Reviewing recently and I have learned a lot about afordable video proyectors since then. All the best and greetings from Lima, Peru.
Hiya, No you can't cast netflix to the projector due to HDCP Protocols and copyright protection. Most projectors won't cast netflix due to this.. If you would like to watch netflix on the projector, I recommend plugging in an Amazon firestick, or Google Chromecast into the HDMI port of the projector. Hope this helps 🙂👍
Hiya, yes you can use a 4K firestick with this machine, but it will only be 1080p output. If this machine doesn't detect the firestick straight away, you might have to change the firestick to 1080p output in the settings. It's been quite a while since I've reviewed this machine so I can't remember if I changed the settings manually. But it does work with any model firestick Hope this helps 🙂👍
Hello, is it possible to use the picture mode not only for video but also for a picture (brightness, contrast)? and if I can, how do I get there...?? Thanks
No this won't be good in the daytime you will need a projector more than 4000 lumens to be able to have a decent enough picture in the day prob 7000+ Hope this helps 🙂👍
No you can't stream movies from your phone to the projector due to copyright.. If you need netflix, prime, or Disney just plug a fire stick, roku, or Chromecast etc into the back of the projector. Or check out the wimius P63 this has android built into the projector. I've also reviewed this on my channel 🙂👍 Hope this helps 🙂👍 @Joepappu
A very helpful reveiw. I would like to play video's via a USB pen, which I believe is possible but can find no reviews of this aspect. Has anyone given it a go and how does it perform?
Hiya, yes you can use a USB stick plugged into the back of the projector to view pictures, and videos. It the manual it should state what video files it will play. Hope this helps. 🙂👍
Hiya, sorry I haven't tested it with a hard drive, but yes a hard drive should work perfectly fine. Others customers have tested it with a hard drive and says it works, but I'm not sure on the size limit of the hard drive. If you drop Wimius a quick email, they should be able to tell you more on this. 👍
Hiya, I don't currently have this projector set up at the moment. But from memory I think I held done the menu button, which is the one with the 3 lines. Let me know if this works. 🙂👍
Hi this projector doesn't have an optical port, but there are many way around it by buying converters, or adapters such as optical to headphone jack, HDMI converters with optical ports , toslink adapters, they are many products on the market were you can get around this issue.. But this has Bluetooth built in so if your soundbar has Bluetooth than a optical cable isn't needed. Hope this helps 🙂👍
Good review, i still dont know what to buy for £200 or less range tho, i wish wimius used the same menu as the v30 xuanpad/visspl, p60 is clearly a step up compared to above mentioned, returned a clokcwe "14000" was filthy missing things and i can still hear the ringing from fan 2-3 days after and couldnt focus it
Wimius P62 is a great choice my friend it's an excellent machine 🙂👍 The Wimius P60 is also fantastic! And the best bang for buck at just over £100. The Wimius P60 Review is also on my channel. I don't have experience with the other machines you mentioned. I try to do fan noise tests on all machines so the reviewer gets a rough idea of fan noise before purchase. The P60 is also on my channel. 🙂👍
Hiya, I've just checked this for you, and there's a 1/4" tripod mount just off the center underneath the projector for mounting.. I then removed 1 of the rubber feet and found another 1/4 thread mounting hole.. So I assume there's 4 mounting holes at each corner underneath the rubber feet for mounting to the ceiling. So you have 2 fantastic options for ceiling mounting. Hope this helps you 🙂👍
Nice review. Just ordered one 🤞I have better luck with this model than the S26 I had to return due to it intermittently cutting out. Also found the Wimius S26 a bit dark & wasn’t able to tune it satisfactorily.
Thanks for your comment 🙂 I hope you find this machine to better suited to your needs. Let me know how you get on with this one.. You made a great choice with this projector it produces a fantastic picture for the money 🙂👍
@@ReviewingHubjust finished testing the P62 & it’s everything you said it was & more. I tested it using Attenborough’s Life & Independence Day, both showed the blacks still retained detail even in the darkest scenes. Wasn’t able to adjust the colour temperature as mentioned on page 20 of the manual, the symbol it says to press isn’t on the remote. Hopefully the support centre will get back to me, they did send my your ( this ) video to try & help .
That's really great news! I'm glad you are enjoying your new projector.. Next time I set up the P62 projector I will have a look at my picture settings and message you back.. I'm almost sure you can change the colour temperature settings, within the picture menue settings.. But I could be wrong, so I will take a look for you soon if you don't manage to find them in the mean time . 🙂👍 I'm really pleased you like the P62, it's a lovely machine for the money. 🙂
@@ReviewingHub if you do manage to change the colour temp would be very grateful for any help. Forgot to say the P62 was purchased to take abroad & replaces a GooDee from 2021. Liked & Subscribed.
@@ReviewingHubquick update. Wimius got back & said there is no colour temperature adjustment on the P62 . They are however looking to do a software upgrade that will enable it. I’ve suggested activating the Hue feature on the picture settings page if it’s possible.
Hi again! So I’ve had this projector for about a week or so and I think it’s pretty good but I noticed that on some shows the image is a bit smudged even when I focus it on the projector screen and other shows and movies look just fine? I’d say my projector is only about 9 feet away from the screen but I’m scared that once I mount it on my wall the additional 3 feet might affect it more. What’s your advice? And if it is this particular projector, what would you recommend?
Hi thanks for your comment..🙂 This sounds a little strange to me, what do you mean smudged? Do you mean a little out of focus? We're are you watching these shows? Netflix? Prime? Or off a USB stick? Are you sure it's not the source material that's the problem? If it was the projector at fault than surely all shows would look smudged or the same and not only some shows. Also. Have you tried to do a manual focus rather than letting the projector auto focus? And see if it gets better by manually doing it. How straight on do you have the projector towards the wall? How much keystone have you had to use? Without seeing the image it's hard for me to know what you mean. Can you capture the picture quality diffence when recoding the projector on your phone? If your try to upload a video of the problem I might be able to see more clearly and understand a little better. Also, you could try moving the projector back another 3ft first to see if the image gets better or worse before installation. Sorry with all the questions, but more info is needed to try and get to the bottom of your problems 🙂
Hi there 🙂👋 Yes on all projectors the image quality will change depending on the size of the picture, and how far back you are. For reference In this video, I was using an 80 inch screen and was 3 meters away from the screen. For best quality results I would try not to go over 20O inches when using this projector. 100-120 is the sweet spot. Always use a proper projector screen with a black backing on the back, so light can't penetrate through the screen, as you will lose a lot picture performance. You need the light to bounce back towards the viewer as much as possible, try to get a screen gain of 1.1 this is the sweet spot. This way you will be getting the best picture from your budget projector. Hope this helps you 🙂👍
Thanks for your input 🙂👍 As for sharpness it varies on all models I have 2 x Wimius P62s and one is sharper than the other even though it's the same machine. I usually state if sharpness was good across the board, the first Wimius P62 I received and reviewed was excellent! It's luck of the draw on all projectors when it comes to the sharpness level. I found the Wimius P63 to be less sharp across the board than the P62 models. But overall, still great machines for the price. Hope this helps 🙂👍
@@ReviewingHub I'm looking for the best sharpness withing budget LCD models because cant watch DLP (I have one amazing 1080p) projectors due their flickering. And I'm looking for a projector as a replace for a monitor. So for me the sharpness is the number one priority (best colors, wifi etc isnt necessary). And also 60Hz.
Thanks for the detailed review.. How much does the projector weigh ( not the full box including bag, remote ) ? I want to check if it suits my current projectors tripod. Does it support HDR (High Dynamic Range) when connected with google Chromecast stick 4K?
Yes you will need a projector screen with a black backing so light can't penetrate through it.. You want as much light bouncing back at you as possible, you don't want light to be lost through the screen this is why you need a screen with black backing. You will need a screen with a gain factor of atleast 1.0... I have a gain factor of 1.1 this is the screen I use.. luxburgvisual.com/products/luxburg-80-inch-16-9-simple-bar-roll-up-manual-projection-screen-matt-white-fabric It's very cheap and the screen performance is excellent! All my RUclips videos have been filmed using this screen. They do bigger sizes if you need a bigger size. 🙂👍 If you can get a fixed frame projector screen with a gain factor of 1.1 this will be even better as when mine gets cold in the winter months it tends to crease a little with temperature.. But having a fixed frame projector screen it has springs all around the frame keeping it under tension so it doesn't crease due to temperature changes.. these are better and what I do plan on buying eventually but they are a lot more expensive.. But for under 60 pounds mine had been brilliant. Hope this information helps you 🙂👍
You would need all the lighting turned off outside, and to try make it as dark as possible. This projector would be no good outside in the daytime. Most projectors wouldn't cope well during the daytime. Black out all the lights and you should be fine outside in the dark 🙂👍
I'm not sure my friend, I don't have this issue mine always stays connected. Do you have a feature on your Bluetooth speaker where it shuts down to save power if it doesn't pick up any sound. If so you might want to turn this feature off.. Also, try pairing another Bluetooth speaker or set of headphones to the projector and see if you have the same issue. This will rule out if the projectors faulty or your Bluetooth speakers is the issue. Hope this helps you 🙂👍
Hi again, I got the projector and was trying it out this morning. I connected it to my bluetooth speaker but there was quite a lag between video and audio. Have you found a way to correct that or do you plug it directly into a speaker or sound bar?
I have experienced this on occasions too on all the projectors I've tested. This can be many things such as the Bluetooth speaker itself, signals flying around your home like WiFi and other Bluetooth devices interfering with the signals etc. Have you tried other Bluetooth devices and seen if this problem still happens? It's not always down to the projector it can be app related such as the software is not optimised properly. It can be so many things it's hard to pin down, but a lot of projectors do suffer with this problem. If you can go wired for sound that's usually the best option 🙂👍
I’ve read a lot of the comments and they all seem very informative, so just throwing it out there. Wimius P62 or Yaber Ace K1? Yaber is about 100chf more (£90) but judging by many comments and reviews it seems to be a bit better on image quality. Never owned a projector and thought to give a good inexpensive one a try. Any other models as recommendations appreciated.
Hi mate, thanks for your comment. This Wimius P62 is a great machine for the price! There's no doubt about that. 🙂👍 But the Yaber K1 does take the Win over this P62 machine, but the Yaber is more expensive, so it's what your budget is for a projector really, and what you are willing to spend. But I do highly recommend both machines 🙂 But the Yaber K1 is a brighter projector, and it has far better dust resistance. Hope this helps you. 🙂👍
@@ReviewingHub yes it does help and thanks so much for the quick response. Spending a little less is always nice but at this lower price point if it’s still worth paying a little extra for better quality then of course that is better. I think in the future I will fork out on a really nice projector bit for the moment something of a good quality at a fair price point is fine. I was considering maybe the K2 but I’ve heard mixed reviews compared to the K1. I noticed you do an amazing job with both your in depth reviews and the response to people’s questions and comments. Keep up the good work and I hope you get some kickback from RUclips for the hard work you put in. Thanks so much
Thank you for that lovely comment and your great feedback 🙂 I don't currently earn any money from my RUclips channel just for clarification. I did do a YAber K2s video it's on my channel, that's also another great projector but not without some drawbacks that I found on the sample I received of the K2s. I'm sure Yaber are actively seeking to fix the drawbacks I found on future productions of this machine, I was one of the first people to review this machine, and as an early adopter some products and people do face problems, hopefully these issues have now been solved. But if you already have a smart device such as a Google Chromecast, or a firestick, etc and you already have a Bluetooth speaker, or sound bar then I highly recommend the Yaber K1 over the K2 but that's just from my personal experience with the problems I had. I did improve the dust resistance on the Yaber K2 by a small modification which you can also find on my channel. But the K1 has excellent dust resistance compared to the K2. Hope this clears things up Thank you for subscribing and visiting my channel it's much appreciated 🙂👍
Yeah you will have trouble finding one as they don't sell replacement remotes, but if you reach out to Yaber, or wimius they might be able to supply a spare remote for you. Unless you have done this already?
@@ReviewingHub quick question please, I just watched another review of a JBL K2s projector with an inbuilt NETFLIX app. The review mentioned that projector without NETFLIX inbuilt and licensed on them need a work around and difficulty watching Netflix content. Any knowledge on this? Have you tried playing Netflix on the P62, I intend on streaming through my Google cast dongle.
The Yaber K2s has a HAKO Mini Dongle installed in the bottom of the projector which has full android TV built in so it will natively support the netflix app. The P62 doesn't have Netflix but you will Be able to play netflix on it using a Chromecast, Roku, firestick etc plugged into the HDMI port Yes I've used netflix on the P62 using a Chromecast and a firestick and it works. Hope this answers your question 🙂👍
Can you or anyone who owns this tell me if the sound is in sync with the video when running a blu ray player ? . . I had a yaber v10 and it was Amazing for the price . . BUT . . There was a slight delay so in movies the actors lips moved slightly out of sync to the sound
Sorry I've not used a DVD player with this machine as I don't have one. But I've not had any issues with sound when streaming and playing Xbox. I don't think you will have any sound issues when using a DVD player. But if you do Wimius have great customer service so they should be able to help resolve your issues. Hopefully someone will see your message and will be able to answer your question. Hope this helps 🙂👍
Hi, I haven't tested this projector on the PC but I did try playing games with the Xbox series X and there was quite a bit of input lag when playing FPS games, and racing games. Platform games, and story type games are much better. For general web surfing and viewing videos from a PC the p62 will be great! But if your after playing fast action paced games from a PC this probably won't be for you. Hope this helps 🙂👍
Because during my demonstrating I was showing how the keystone works, zooming in and angling the corners. I made it fit the screen perfectly at 13.27 clearly you didn't watch the whole video. 🤷 But thank you for your input 🙂👍
Thank you. 🙂🙏 I know it can be overwhelming with the amount of choices there are out there, what is your budget? And the maximum your willing to spend. This is a great machine for the price, but this one doesn't have any smart features so you would need pair it with a firestick, Roku, Chromecast, and other devices to get access to apps.
Can this connect more then 1 bluetooth devises - can i connect 2 Bluetooth headsets for people to hear it simultaneously? Is there any latency observed ?
Hi I've just checked this for you and no you can't have 2 paired simultaneously. You can have multiple Bluetooth devices paired to the machine but only 1 Bluetooth device connected at 1 time for sound. Hope this helps you 🙂👍
Hi 👋 thank you for doing a straightforward review 😊 I'm from Glasgow and understood you clearly. I had already bought the p62 a couple of months back, however I am only now getting it set up. Kids are over for Christmas I will point them too yr channel. Tc
Hi thanks for you comment, and welcome to the channel, I love both projectors, they both have advantages over the other, it just depends what you want from the projector. The P62 is better for portability, as it's smaller, lighter, and more compact, it also comes with a nice back for when travelling. The P64 has better sound quality, you can also use it as a Bluetooth speaker, something you can't do on the P62. The image clarity is roughly the same, they both produce excellent images, for the price. I would say go with the one you like the look of more :)
Hi there, this projector feels more like a 30hz machine to me, it, doesn't seem to keep up with fast driving games. There's also quite a bit input lag on FPS type games I've noticed. This machine is excellent for home cinema use, that's certainly fantastic for the price. But gaming isn't it's strong point. But for retro games, platform games, and story type games games they are definitely playable and should be ok for most people. Many websites claim this is a 60hz machine in the specs maybe reach out to Wimius and ask the support before purchase. They are pretty friendly and are really good with customers questions. Hope this helps 🙂👍
It also says on amazon at least that it has upto 450 inches size. How do you increase that? In settings the only option I see is 100% which doesn't indicate size.
They quote up to 300 inches in the manual and on the Amazon UK website. The only way you can achieve larger sizes like that is to move the projector further back from the wall. The zoom function is to only for decreasing the image size not increasing the size. If you have a small home and you can't move the projector back far enough from the wall then large sizes of 300 inches won't be achievable. You simply need more space. The projection distances are printed In the manual. Also, type into Google projection distance calculator and click on a few websites. Then input the projector model how big you need the screen size and this should tell you how far you need to be back from the wall to reach that screen size. Hope this helps you 🙂👍
Hello, thanks for the review i just bought it. quick question: is your unit accepting 4k inputs? I tried to connect many 4k equipment to the projector and it switches automatically to 1080p. I thought the p62 was able to support 4k. Thanks.
Thanks for your comment, to be honest I have tried it with 4k content. It should accept a 4k signal but it will downscale it to 1080p. As it's only a 1080p projector so it's not capable of 4k. I stream 4k links from Kodi just fine. But it will always show 1080p in the right hand corner most likely. What have you tried it with?
@@ReviewingHub i tried with 4k firestick and xbox series X as input. They both output to 1080p max. They should output to 4k if the projector accepts 4k input ? even if the projector output is 1080p, am i misunderstanding the concept of 4k support ?
"4K support" means it can accept a 4K signal, but the projector will down-scale to 1080P (the native projector resolution). Anything you display will be a MAXIMUM of 1080P. @@akumashinto
It will be ok with a white wall, definitely watchable and enjoyable. But in order to get the best viewing experience, and the most out of your projector I always recommend a screen. Shooting on a white wall you will lose quite a bit of light, and you won't have as much light bouncing back at the viewer. it's all about the bounce back you want as much light that your projector is cable of projecting back at you for a nice bright image. Screens will bounce back light far better than a wall, and having a proper screen will produce more clarity and sharpness then a wall. You could use special projector paint this will be ideal, but that can be more expensive than a screen. I got my screen for 56 pound and it produces and phenomenal image. Most pull down screens are relatively cheap now. Use the wall for now, and when you buy a screen you will notice a massive difference in picture clarity. 🙂
Which screen did you use, can you share the link please mate? I’m going backwards now and looking at the P62 as you said it was worth the extra £39, lol. I’ll be using a firestick anyway
How does it handle highlights? At stock settings, no display ever looks its best, and projectors are no exception. Due to the nature of LCD, usually contrast needs to be set around 45 or so otherwise loss of detail occurs, brightness needs to be balanced against that, and then color saturation needs to be lowered to bring out even more detail, otherwise colors are not only over-saturated, but they completely trash fine detail. Blackpoint looks to be good on this one - the shadows don't appear to be too black with loss of detail (this is common with cheaper projectors). Thanks for the review!
Thanks for the settings may have to try them 🙂👍 Performance is pretty good to me with highlights for the money this is a bargain projector after all. 🙂👍 I've been happy with picture perfomance in a very dark room. But if you want a projector with super bright highlights and to perform well in bright environments you need something around the 1000 lumen range if not more. Black out curtains and blinds is recommended when watching movies with anything under 1000 ANSI lumen range. My Yaber K1 and K2 machines are 650 and 800 and still don't cope well in the daytime. This is to be expected with any projector under 500 pounds. 🙂👍 Daytime viewing you prob need atleast 2000- 4000 ANSI lumens for a good detailed contrast picture. And then we are taking 5-10 times the price. It's all about how much your willing to spend on a projector. But in a dark room I've been more than happy with this machine.
@@djcoprerodrigues2780 if you plug a firestick into the back of it, or a Google Chromecast etc then yes it will.. but it doesn't have android built into the device.
You might be able too depending on how light the class room is, but for black and white images such as text and things it should be ok. If viewing video with colours in bright environments contrast will be affected and the colours will seem washed out.. So you really do need to have a dark environment for the best possible picture. But this goes for all projectors under a 1000 ANSI lumens 🙂👍
Yes that number of ANSI lumens should be sufficient. The higher the better for brighter enviroments some experts even say 3 to 4 thousand. So just keep these figures in mind for you to be happy with the picture in those brighter conditions. 🙂👍
Hello, have you tested wireless Wifi connectivity ? On my previous Wimius there was a huge drop in quality : vidéo was sent to the projector not as 1080p but lower when using wireless connection (tested with an Apple macbook M2 on Sonoma).
Mmm that's a good question! No I didn't test this unfortunately. I just paired this with a streaming stick and it worked great! Sorry, I didn't think to check this. 🙂
Hi thanks for your comment. It depends on the quality of the Bluetooth speakers you are using half the time, , and the signals flying around your household. From time to time sound does go out of sync, but this is the case with all the projectors that I've tested. Sometimes it's app related, like Netflix, or Kodi, or Amazon prime etc usually a quick rewind or fastfoward of the video, puts the sound back in sync or turn off your headphones or Bluetooth speakers fixes the sync issue. But in my testing the P62, has been excellent with keeping the sound in sync with my tribit bluetooth headphones, and tribit stormbox speakers. And I have 2 separate tribit bluetooth speakers that are connected to each other in stereo mode, then connected to the projector and it's been great for me. Hope this helps 🙂👍 You will get the odd occasion where it will lose sync but very rarely.
It's a good projector around this price range, the best thing about this Projector is the portability, you can take this anywhere, the other 2 models I've tested do not come with bags, and are bigger and heavier so harder to take with you, this one fits nicely in the bag, and it's easy to carry. Plus wimius projectors are always sharp across the whole frame, some other models lack sharpness in the edges, and are not consistent.
@@ReviewingHub i see, although im not that interest in portability, I put more importance in the image quality after that the sound. I see you have many projectors which of them fo you think have the best image quality? Thanks in advance
@@ka-stefanobb.9943 The Yaber ace K1 has the best image quality in terms of brightness levels, as all the colours just look more vibrant, you also get less dust in the K1 as it's an optically sealed engine.. But more is coming on this channel about this later! As the K1 still let's in dust, and so do my other optically sealed engine projectors. But I have 98% fix for this, which I will be showing on the channel later. The Yaber Ace K1 has the best image and build quality, but this projector is £100-150 so this is understandable. The P64 has the best sound, of both the P62, and the Yaber K1, the P64 Vs the P62 in terms of picture quality they are pretty much equal, it's hard to tell the difference. But I'd say the white levels look better on the P64 projector, but you can play around with colours, the colour temperatures, contrast, and saturation to make them more a less look the same.. Both are great projectors, if it's the price your more concerned about, I would personally get the one you think looks the most nicest, if you care about the sound and you don't plan on getting other speakers, than the P64 sounds better. :) Hope that helps you :)
@TheUnboxingEnthusiast I was just looking on amazon and I think I will buy the yaber k2s it's 370 euros right now. It has great reviews and has alexa built in I think im going for this one. Thanks to you , otherwise i wouldn't have searched for yaber projectors
Hi and thanks for visiting the channel. 🙂 The image is practically the same in terms of picture quality, although on paper the wimius P64 is supposed to have 120 more ANSI lumens and the processor is 20% faster in the P64; according to a previous wimius email from a customer. The P64 also supports HDR10 were I don't think the P62 does. They are small improvements over the P62, but side by side you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference when it comes to picture quality. They are both great machines, the P62 is a lot more portable and comes with it's own bag, were as the P64 doesn't. And is more of a stay at home projector as it's much larger. Hope that helps 🙂👍
good question :) I would love to do a side by side comparison to show the viewers the difference in the quality of the picture, however i've modified all my projectors now since my review, so they wouldn't be a direct comparison to the ones you purchase from the factory. Maybe I will try to do a video in the near future showing a video side by side of the image quality of each projector :) so people can judge for themselves, thanks for your good suggestion :)
I have an 80" screen it's only a cheap one but it provides a fantastic image. Here is the link they do various sizes, this screen is probably the best bang for buck in terms of quality of picture to price ratio. luxburgvisual.com/products/luxburg-80-inch-16-9-simple-bar-roll-up-manual-projection-screen-matt-white-fabric
You can stream videos and photos from your phone using mirror cast, or airplay straight to the projector, but no it doesn't have android TV, or any apps built into this projector. But it has 2x HDMI , and TV sticks can be brought very cheap now days.
@TheUnboxingEnthusiast Thanks again for your kind reply 🙏 mine has arrived now and I can confirm everything you say is true, unfortunately, but I will start hacking it see if there's any way to download android TV OS or XBMC OS directly into the projector. I mean I really want to need the Amazon Prime and RUclips app. I've already connected the projectors on board Wi-Fi to a captive portal network and scaned for open ports I can use to talk to the projector so far I found the projector sending a lot of packets to a server in China most likely the projectors update server I also suspect that the device is indeed running Android TV version 9.0 If I can execute an SSH server inside the projector then I should be able to look through its internal file system structure and get more information such as which hardware it's running but think the cpu is the Mediatek MT5582.
Hi welcome to the channel, I don't currently have the nexigo PJ40 to compare them.. but I hear the nexigo PJ40 is a great projector. On paper the PJ40 has higher ANSI lumens, it's rated at 700 on the Amazon listing, but in real world tests it comes in at 584. I'm sure yourl be happy with both machines :) PJ40 is rated
When you customize your image to fit into your screen, will that save or do you have to do it every time you turn it on? Other than that I found this to be very helpful
I'm not sure on this, But you can now buy firestick remotes with a IR learning feature on Amazon if that helps. I doubt the original firestick covers wimius devices with IR codes. You could message Wimius and ask them, but I'd look into getting a special remote with the leaning feature 🙂👍 Hope this helps.
Hi and welcome to the channel, the P62 has 2 HDMI ports in the back of the device. You can plug a Amazon fire stick into the back of it, or a Google Chromecast, a Roku, and kind of smart device to get access to RUclips. :)
Hi! Thank u for ur review! How do you feel about input lag with this? I was thinking about getting one and i would like to play on it too... is it any good? Thank u in advance :)
You do notice a little bit of lag when gaming, especially driving games. But for most story games like RPG and platform games etc it copes reasonably well. I'm not sure what the exact input lag is, but if I had to guess I would say it's between 35 and 55ms range. Movies is were this projector excels at. But if you reach out to wimius they might have the exact numbers when they bench tested the product. They are a very friendly bunch and Thier customer service is excellent so they will most likely reply and give you the answer. 🙂👍
It accepts a 60 Hz signal my Chromecast and firestick says 1080p at 6Ohz in the corner and so did my Xbox when I tested it.. if you contact Wimius they will give you the correct answer to this. I don't game on my Xbox I just tested it briefly and it was ok for assassin's creed games, and various platform games, high speed driving games it feels a little weird. Wimius are pretty friendly and will give you the exact answer to your question. This is the head of the Wimius brand a friendly person that will answer your question. g.pakzoe125@gmail.com Let me know the answer 🙂👍
Wow thank you for the fast and helpful response some guy on reddit said it was locked at 30hz which i thought was bizarre currently i mainly use my beamer for films but sometiems i might use a ps5 or xboxsx and nice to know it would support if need be ive just biught this beamer as i javr the nexigo pj20 whofh was good but some focus issues in the corners which i cpuld nev3r solve hope gets fixed with this model from wimius
@mwoodsy84 I've also heard this is locked at 30 as well don't accept my answer as correct tho buddy please contact Wimius first and they will give you the correct answer but my Xbox is on 1080p at 60hz and so is my Chromecast, but the projector might not run as 60hz that's just what it was reporting on the top right corner when I changed sources to both of these devices. The pj20 is one of the best projectors for gaming, it has one of the lowest input lags roughly 25-30ms, I know the P62 is a lot higher than this. So keep this in mind 🙂👍
@@mwoodsy84 on RPG type games it's fine, like story mode games it will be ok, but for First person shooters like warzone and cod you should always stick to monitors.. These projectors or more aimed at movies rather than gaming projectors, sure you can play games on them but gaming will slightly suffer. But if your playing for fun and you don't care about who wins or loses and you don't care for Kill death ratio etc than this projector will be fine. I don't have a meter to test input lag yet but if I had to guess, it would be between 45-65 milliseconds but if you contact wimius they might have the true input lag specifications in milliseconds, it's worth contacting them as I'm sure they would have bench tested these scenarios. But for movies this projector is phenomenal in terms of picture quality to price ratio 🙂👍
Hi buddy thanks for your comment 😊 the Yaber pro V9 is the exact same projector as the wimius P62, just with a few little cosmetic changes on the outside. The wimius P62 is manufactured by Yaber, so they are identical machines, hope that helps you 😊
You leave out so many operational actions. What distance between the projector and the screen. The book says 3 meters, so the projector is right in the middle of the view. The zoom feature doesn't work, why do you assume everybody knows how to use it?? The manual is useless, why don't you describe how to set it up from the beginning?? You waste a lot of time pointing out the buttons which are self explanatory but you don't spend any time telling people how to make them do what one wants to do. The keystone doesn't work, I have to move the screen back and forth to make it fit. Focus is bad unless one has the correct distance between the projector and the screen. I know all this is adjustable, but why don't you tell us how??
My screen was 80 inches and I was 2.6 meteres away from the projector screen. The zoom function does work I covered the zoom setting at 12.54 minuites. Zoom is only for reducing the image not increasing the image! In order to increase the image size you need to move the projector forward. I'm not sure what review you watched, but I covered everything you just mentioned in my review. Focus was excellent on this machine , so was keystone adjustment. I cover all the projectors User interface on all my reviews, so maybe you skipped some of the video and you missed it.
Funnys eeing this review pop up on this projector as I got one of the exact models delivered on Monday. Set it up and started to play an episode of the Rookie, which is 720hd. Anyway, was amazed at the quality of the image for the price, only thing is, 20 minutes in the thing suddenly stopped working, so have had to return it to Amazon. It is a shame as was well happy with the quality - it was'nt even in a pitch black room either. Out of the 1000s they sell along with the other rebranded ones there is always the odd one that will be a dud..
Oh that's a shame. This machine is pretty reliable usually. Maybe something happened during shipping and it took a shock to the internals. Are you going to be swapping it for another one?
They are regularly doing these deals and tickets, it will fall to the same price again. If you was happy with the picture than I'd wait an order another, and hopefully you will have better luck next time. 🙂👍
Very informative video. Does anybody know if you can make the USB the boot source option? Wanting to get mine ready for Xmas so i can set a timer for it to come on automatically
Yes it has a boot source option at 14.25 seconds 🙂👍 But can't remember if it has USB as doesn't seem like a showed it in my review, but maybe I didn't scroll far enough. I Will let you know this once I set it back up 🙂👍
@@ReviewingHub ok that's great, thanks for the reply. Also ordered a lense to stop the dust because after your video I noticed how much of a vacuume the lense is! Luckily I had a spare tempered glass phone screen protector I've temporarily taped over the lense with no apparent loss of image quality so thanks again for that tip
I've just set this projector back up for you buddy and checked. Unfortunately you can't make the projector boot to the USB. Only HDMI 1, HDMI 2, and AV. Hope this helps you 🙂👍
Thank you for this video.

Thank you for your incredible video! You answered every question I couldn't find elsewhere! Thank goodness for thorough people like you :)
Wow! Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I'm glad you found the video helpful. 😊🙏
Thanks for your comment, and the Sub :)
Wow! That was a great price, you got a bargain! Well worth the investment , I hope you enjoy it mate :)
181 usd for me lol but I can't wait for it to come
Fantastic image quality and the colours look great very interesting video and very helpful.
Thank you for your comment, I'm glad you found it helpful 🙂🙏
Hello! How can I open de image menu you show at 20:40? Thankss

@@ReviewingHub thanks! I fothoy mi remote control remote in my other House. I will try It this weekend. Is there anyway to try it without remote?
I don't think you can access this menu with the top of the machines buttons from memory, so you will prob need the remote for this.
By all means have a play with the buttons on the machine and see if you can get into the menu system and it should be under picture settings 🙂👍
@@ReviewingHub thanks very much!
Great review! I'm going to buy it. Thank you! Greetings from Italy
How can I put the lens cover back again? I closer to the edge so the Cover doesn't fit

Hi. Can you see films from netflix from the mobile phone wireless ? Thanks
Hi great video, the p2 support 4k but can you use a 4k fire stick in it?
Hiya, yes you can use a 4K firestick with this machine, but it will only be 1080p output.
If this machine doesn't detect the firestick straight away, you might have to change the firestick to 1080p output in the settings.
It's been quite a while since I've reviewed this machine so I can't remember if I changed the settings manually.
But it does work with any model firestick
Hope this helps 🙂👍
Great review I just can’t get it to loop multiple files. Trying to find a solution.
Hello, is it possible to use the picture mode not only for video but also for a picture (brightness, contrast)? and if I can, how do I get there...?? Thanks
I don't have this machine set up right now, so I can't check this at the moment.
But I'm pretty sure picture settings only work when on a HDMI Source.
Thank you for your video! I just set it up. Is there a way to fast forward and rewind video on usb?
What a complete and informative review. Thanks so much
Thank you, I'm glad you found the review helpful 🙂🙏
Wat about the daytime? Because some projector videos are not visible during daytime.
No this won't be good in the daytime you will need a projector more than 4000 lumens to be able to have a decent enough picture in the day prob 7000+
Hope this helps 🙂👍
@@ReviewingHub thank you so much for the information and one more thing. What about airplay Netflix or Disney+ from mobile? Does it work or copyright?
No you can't stream movies from your phone to the projector due to copyright..
If you need netflix, prime, or Disney just plug a fire stick, roku, or Chromecast etc into the back of the projector.
Or check out the wimius P63 this has android built into the projector.

@@ReviewingHub Thanks for your reply. Can I assume it will play from HDD too, and what is the size restriction?
Hiya, sorry I haven't tested it with a hard drive, but yes a hard drive should work perfectly fine. Others customers have tested it with a hard drive and says it works, but I'm not sure on the size limit of the hard drive.
If you drop Wimius a quick email, they should be able to tell you more on this. 👍

I am trying to connect a sound bar using optical cable - how to do that ?
Hi this projector doesn't have an optical port, but there are many way around it by buying converters, or adapters such as optical to headphone jack, HDMI converters with optical ports , toslink adapters, they are many products on the market were you can get around this issue..
But this has Bluetooth built in so if your soundbar has Bluetooth than a optical cable isn't needed.
Hope this helps 🙂👍
Good review, i still dont know what to buy for £200 or less range tho, i wish wimius used the same menu as the v30 xuanpad/visspl, p60 is clearly a step up compared to above mentioned, returned a clokcwe "14000" was filthy missing things and i can still hear the ringing from fan 2-3 days after and couldnt focus it
Wimius P62 is a great choice my friend it's an excellent machine 🙂👍
The Wimius P60 is also fantastic!
I didn't notice anything for this to be mounted from the ceiling. Do those rubber pads removable? Or can this be mounted on the ceiling?
Hiya, I've just checked this for you, and there's a 1/4" tripod mount just off the center underneath the projector for mounting..
I then removed 1 of the rubber feet and found another 1/4 thread mounting hole..
So I assume there's 4 mounting holes at each corner underneath the rubber feet for mounting to the ceiling.
So you have 2 fantastic options for ceiling mounting.
Hope this helps you 🙂👍

Hi thanks for your comment..🙂
This sounds a little strange to me, what do you mean smudged?
I would think it is the source.
Does the quality get better/worse the further or closer it is?
Hope this helps you 🙂👍
Why no sharpness test (1080p small text etc)?
The text on the video doesnt look sharp and has some bloom.
Thanks for your input 🙂👍
As for sharpness it varies on all models I have 2 x Wimius P62s and one is sharper than the other even though it's the same machine.
Can you recommend a projector screen for this projector plesse
Yes you will need a projector screen with a black backing so light can't penetrate through it..
You want as much light bouncing back at you as possible, you don't want light to be lost through the screen this is why you need a screen with black backing.
You will need a screen with a gain factor of atleast 1.0... I have a gain factor of 1.1 this is the screen I use.. luxburgvisual.com/products/luxburg-80-inch-16-9-simple-bar-roll-up-manual-projection-screen-matt-white-fabric
It's very cheap and the screen performance is excellent! All my RUclips videos have been filmed using this screen.
They do bigger sizes if you need a bigger size. 🙂👍
If you can get a fixed frame projector screen with a gain factor of 1.1 this will be even better as when mine gets cold in the winter months it tends to crease a little with temperature..
But having a fixed frame projector screen it has springs all around the frame keeping it under tension so it doesn't crease due to temperature changes.. these are better and what I do plan on buying eventually but they are a lot more expensive..
But for under 60 pounds mine had been brilliant.
Hope this information helps you 🙂👍
Great review, really close to buying this. Is it any good for outside?
You would need all the lighting turned off outside, and to try make it as dark as possible.
This projector would be no good outside in the daytime.
Most projectors wouldn't cope well during the daytime.
Black out all the lights and you should be fine outside in the dark 🙂👍
After 10 to 15 minutes, the bluetooth speaker gets disconnected. Please help me solving this issue.
I have this just got it today. Isit wireless? Or do we have to have the plug power in??
Yes it has WiFi 🙂👍 and no it doesn't have an internal battery. You need the projector plugged into mains power for it to work 🙂👍
I want to get this for a 20 foot blow up screen would this projector work well with thaat size of a screen?
It should work up to a 300" screen.

Hello, can I send an image from my phone? 🤔
Yes you certainly can using the mirror cast or airplay app 🙂👍
I’ve read a lot of the comments and they all seem very informative, so just throwing it out there. Wimius P62 or Yaber Ace K1? Yaber is about 100chf more (£90) but judging by many comments and reviews it seems to be a bit better on image quality. Never owned a projector and thought to give a good inexpensive one a try.
Any other models as recommendations appreciated.
Hi mate, thanks for your comment.
This Wimius P62 is a great machine for the price! There's no doubt about that. 🙂👍
But the Yaber K1 does take the Win over this P62 machine, but the Yaber is more expensive, so it's what your budget is for a projector really, and what you are willing to spend.
But I do highly recommend both machines 🙂
But the Yaber K1 is a brighter projector, and it has far better dust resistance.
Hope this clears things up
Thank you for subscribing and visiting my channel it's much appreciated 🙂👍
What is the model of the remote control? I lost mine and need to get a new one and am having trouble finding the same one.
Yeah you will have trouble finding one as they don't sell replacement remotes, but if you reach out to Yaber, or wimius they might be able to supply a spare remote for you.
Unless you have done this already?
Will definitely buy now thanks for the update

@@ReviewingHub quick question please, I just watched another review of a JBL K2s projector with an inbuilt NETFLIX app. The review mentioned that projector without NETFLIX inbuilt and licensed on them need a work around and difficulty watching Netflix content. Any knowledge on this? Have you tried playing Netflix on the P62, I intend on streaming through my Google cast dongle.
The Yaber K2s has a HAKO Mini Dongle installed in the bottom of the projector which has full android TV built in so it will natively support the netflix app.
The P62 doesn't have Netflix but you will Be able to play netflix on it using a Chromecast, Roku, firestick etc plugged into the HDMI port
Yes I've used netflix on the P62 using a Chromecast and a firestick and it works.
Hope this answers your question 🙂👍
Bought it today after watching ur review. thanks. shall let u know how it goes.
It's a great machine for the money. I Hope you enjoy it 🙂👍
Can you or anyone who owns this tell me if the sound is in sync with the video when running a blu ray player ?
.
.
I had a yaber v10 and it was Amazing for the price
.
.
BUT
.
Can you tell if there is input lag using it with a pc?
Hi, I haven't tested this projector on the PC but I did try playing games with the Xbox series X and there was quite a bit of input lag when playing FPS games, and racing games.
Platform games, and story type games are much better.
For general web surfing and viewing videos from a PC the p62 will be great!
But if your after playing fast action paced games from a PC this probably won't be for you.
Hope this helps 🙂👍
@@ReviewingHub Thanks man and great review!
Why would you choose to "not" fit the keystone within the boundaries of your screen? For the purpose of demonstration 🤷
Because during my demonstrating I was showing how the keystone works, zooming in and angling the corners.
I made it fit the screen perfectly at 13.27 clearly you didn't watch the whole video. 🤷
But thank you for your input 🙂👍
pretty good review, good job
Thank you very much 🙂🙏 appreciate you taking the time to comment 🙂👍
Thanks for the review, help me make a decision in a minefield of choices
Thank you. 🙂🙏
I know it can be overwhelming with the amount of choices there are out there, what is your budget? And the maximum your willing to spend.
This is a great machine for the price, but this one doesn't have any smart features so you would need pair it with a firestick, Roku, Chromecast, and other devices to get access to apps.
Can this connect more then 1 bluetooth devises - can i connect 2 Bluetooth headsets for people to hear it simultaneously? Is there any latency observed ?
Hi I've just checked this for you and no you can't have 2 paired simultaneously.
You can have multiple Bluetooth devices paired to the machine but only 1 Bluetooth device connected at 1 time for sound.
Hope this helps you 🙂👍
@@ReviewingHub Thanks for doing that . Very helpful
Hi 👋 thank you for doing a straightforward review 😊 I'm from Glasgow and understood you clearly. I had already bought the p62 a couple of months back, however I am only now getting it set up. Kids are over for Christmas I will point them too yr channel. Tc
Great vid, would you recommend this or the p64 version?
Hi thanks for you comment, and welcome to the channel, I love both projectors, they both have advantages over the other, it just depends what you want from the projector.
The P62 is better for portability, as it's smaller, lighter, and more compact, it also comes with a nice back for when travelling.
The P64 has better sound quality, you can also use it as a Bluetooth speaker, something you can't do on the P62.
The image clarity is roughly the same, they both produce excellent images, for the price.
I would say go with the one you like the look of more :)
Thanks for the review. Does the protector output at 60hz? Doesnt say on amazon. Want it for ps5
Hope this helps you 🙂👍
@@ReviewingHub google 60Hz test site (or video). Even in mouse moves (cursors) you can see is it 60Hz or less.
Is it 60hz?
@@akumashinto I don't have it setup right now I'm using another projector, but I'll set the P62 up Tomo and check for you. 🙂👍
@@ReviewingHub thanks
"4K support" means it can accept a 4K signal, but the projector will down-scale to 1080P (the native projector resolution). Anything you display will be a MAXIMUM of 1080P. @@akumashinto
How do you think it would work if you projected against a plain white wall?
Thanks for the settings may have to try them 🙂👍
Performance is pretty good to me with highlights for the money this is a bargain projector after all. 🙂👍
I've been happy with picture perfomance in a very dark room.
Daytime viewing you prob need atleast 2000- 4000 ANSI lumens for a good detailed contrast picture.
And then we are taking 5-10 times the price.
It's all about how much your willing to spend on a projector.
But in a dark room I've been more than happy with this machine.
Just buy a more expensive projector if you’re worried about all that. It is what it is. A cheaper alternative to a $1000+ unit
Thanks I bought this few days ago still waiting for it
Awesome! Hope you enjoy your new machine :)
Hello does this projector support RUclips app?
@@djcoprerodrigues2780 if you plug a firestick into the back of it, or a Google Chromecast etc then yes it will.. but it doesn't have android built into the device.
@@ReviewingHub Many thanks 🙏 just one more question. I did notice the remote has a microphone button on it? Does it support voice input/control?
thank you, can this work on lectures where classrooms are lighter ?
You might be able too depending on how light the class room is, but for black and white images such as text and things it should be ok.
If viewing video with colours in bright environments contrast will be affected and the colours will seem washed out..
So you really do need to have a dark environment for the best possible picture.
But this goes for all projectors under a 1000 ANSI lumens 🙂👍
@@ReviewingHub
thank you, so any projectors 2000 ANSI or higher are ok for lighter rooms ?
Do you notice audio lag with you pair bluetooth speakers?
Hope this helps 🙂👍
You will get the odd occasion where it will lose sync but very rarely.
So do you recommend it? I was thinking about buying one , and this is the most interesting one so far at this price range.
Hope that helps you :)
@@ReviewingHub thank you so much, i will attend for your future reviews keep up the work ;)
@TheUnboxingEnthusiast I was just looking on amazon and I think I will buy the yaber k2s it's 370 euros right now. It has great reviews and has alexa built in I think im going for this one. Thanks to you , otherwise i wouldn't have searched for yaber projectors
Great! Thank you
Whats the difference with the p64? They seem to have the same specs?
Thanks
Hi and thanks for visiting the channel. 🙂
The image is practically the same in terms of picture quality, although on paper the wimius P64 is supposed to have 120 more ANSI lumens and the processor is 20% faster in the P64; according to a previous wimius email from a customer.
@@ReviewingHub thanks for all the details very much appreciated !
@@akumashinto you are very welcome 🙂🙏
@@ReviewingHub will you do comparison reviews or not planned?
good question :) I would love to do a side by side comparison to show the viewers the difference in the quality of the picture, however i've modified all my projectors now since my review, so they wouldn't be a direct comparison to the ones you purchase from the factory.
Maybe I will try to do a video in the near future showing a video side by side of the image quality of each projector :)
so people can judge for themselves, thanks for your good suggestion :)
Great review! Thank you very much
Thank you very much for the lovely comment 🙂🙏 I'm glad the review was helpful. 🙂👍
What screen do you have?
I have an 80" screen it's only a cheap one but it provides a fantastic image.
Here is the link they do various sizes, this screen is probably the best bang for buck in terms of quality of picture to price ratio.

thank you , jusst bought it
So just a clarify, is it impossible to use this projector for streaming without another device being connected to it?

Hola, una pregunta cuanto le dura la bateria?
Es un proyector alimentado por red eléctrica, debe estar enchufado a la pared.
no se queda sin bateria.
espero que esto ayude.
wimius p62 infrared profile number could anyone tell me so I can use it on the fire stick tv😢
I'm not sure on this, But you can now buy firestick remotes with a IR learning feature on Amazon if that helps.
I doubt the original firestick covers wimius devices with IR codes.
You could message Wimius and ask them, but I'd look into getting a special remote with the leaning feature 🙂👍

@@ReviewingHub wow, thank you so much! I'll do that :)

Im not using it for competitive gaming does thr inout lag affect playing games like doom or horizon zero dawn or will i not notice
Have you tested YABER Pro V9? Which one is better comparing to P62?
@@ReviewingHub Amazon did not give that option, it's a straight refund, which is a pity as I got it on a sale ticket with a good percentage off.
