best way to get good sound is use a soundbar with a passthrough. Put streaming stick on the soundbar HDMI in and pass the video through to the projector

@@omairbadboy I have a cheaper end 1080p projector. No fancy electronics, operating system or sound but the visual look fine to me. If I put a steaming stick in its HDMI input it would limit my sound to the best it can do….stereo. So I bought a TCL Atmos soundbar with an HDMI in and HDMI out/pass through. So the internet stream comes into the soundbar through HDMI (it also has internal Amazon fire option) then I run an HDMI cord from sound bar output HDMI to the projector which passes just the video and the soundbar plays the Dolby Atmos part of the stream without the projector. Let me know if that is clear or not.

I need to adjust the brightness. 2 comments already asking the same question. No clear answer. Can someone help
While you are watching a video, click on the "Source" button. The manual calls 2 buttons source but you want the one above volume up. The button with 3 lines. It will bring you to TV settings. From there, you can select picture and adjust picture mode and brightness.
how can i project still images from my PC, specifically directly off my adobe phtoshop program? I can't get it to project anything. I am using hdm1. Thanks
You will need to check the video out setting in your PC and the Input setting from your projector. Check the video setting to make sure you are set to send signal to the port where you have your cable installed. Also, make sure to select HDMI1 as input source from your projector setting.
Can you mute the speakers on the unit and just have the audio sent to a Bluetooth speaker?
Yes. That is my current setup.

How to clean lens? I couldnt get the back off?
This is designed as fully sealed optical concept. I don't think you can access the lens even if you can open it. But anyway, with all the other models they have, the screw is hidden under the stickers at the bottom of the unit. If you are under warranty, you may want to contact their support first and see if they will replace or fix the product for you because removing the sticker will void your warranty.
Can the rubber feet be removed to ceiling mount it?

How to adjust brightness?? I just bought it this week
I don't have access to it right now, but you should be able to change the brightness by going to Picture Mode. Either go to the setting or press the button right above the volume up while you are watching a movie. Hope this helps.

Urgent help needed! Please can you let me know if laptop is connected, can I use the remote control to change slides? Thanks.
If Laptop is connected, you control the slides from your laptop so remote will not work.
If you want to use the remote, you will need to save the file to a flash drive and plug it in directly to the USB port at the back of the projector. You don't need the laptop to do your presentation. This projector can read word, excel, power point, pdf and text file formats.
If I stream Netflix using my laptop through HDMI will it work? I hear it won't which is a disaster. What is the fix?
I know you can't do a screen share / screen cast with any streaming app from your phone or tablet to any display device due to copyright law. Not sure if Laptop to Projector through HDMI will cause an issue since it is a hard wired connection but you can always use a FireStick or RoKu stick and use it to play NetFlix. I have this setup with a FireStick. It is easier because I just use the FireStick remote to control everything just like a regular TV.
Try to connect your Laptop to your TV via HDMI and see if you can display the Netflix movie from your Laptop to your TV. If this works then it should also work with the projector.

How do I clean behind the lens? I just got mine and what looks like black dust and string spots showing up on my screen. It almost likes like hair. I cleaned the front of the lens but it didn't help. It seems to be behind the lens. How do I clean open it and clean it. The guide book doesn't show it.
If you just got it I would have it replaced or ask the manufacturer first before you open it to make sure you can still return. I have not done it on this model but in the previous models, the access is hidden at the sticker label at the bottom of the projector that is why I said to return or ask manufacturer first as removing the sticker may void the warranty. If you run your fingernails on top of that sticker, you will feel a small square shape that you can open so you can clean the inside using the included cleaning kit in the package.
It doesnt seem to have that sticker on this one.
Have you managed to update this projector?
It doesnt seem to update for me. It shows the ring installing but then there update is still there when you go back to online update.... any ideas?
I was able to update it through WiFi. Are you sure you are connected to your WiFi network?
@@diymanual yeah it downloads the update shows the installation process but nothing happens after that. It still says it's on the old firmware and there's a new update...
Sorry I just saw this. My YT studio have filters on new comment only. If you can't do install via WiFi, try to just do it using a flash drive. Also, try to do a complete shutdown and restart maybe it just need to refresh after the install. Hope it works for you.
Do you have a 4k fire stick or you got a 1080p fire stick tv?
I have both and thy both work with this projector but I use my 1080p for this since it is native 1080p.
Does tropical heat cause the creeping brown spot?
I don't think so. I think it's more on the dust going into the system. The Pro V9 is a closed system so you should not have that problem. If you have a brown spot on your new device, have them replace it right away.
@@diymanual Thanks! Run one of your test units in a 90 ambient air and after a few hours it will start showing. Dust spots look different smaller, darker and don't grow.
