You are correct! 👍 I also discovered this after my review, that it doesn't keep netflix logins. You may be able to side load different versions of the Netflix app but that's something I will need to look into and experiment with. The white netflix app was working great on this machine for me.. Have you tried updating the netflix app, or deleting and reinstalling it? You might be able to go on Google Chrome on the projector, go to playstore and update netflix that way. Wimius have sent me their latest Q3 model, I'm in the middle of this review right now, and it should be released next week. Unfortunately this also suffers from the same problem and the netflix app isn't user friendly. I've contacted Wimius about these issues and hopefully they are working on over the air update soon. The problem we have on these machines is they are not Netflix certified, Which I should imagine costs money to be certified. So it's all about keeping the cost down, or Wimius would have to increase the prices to pay for the netflix certification. For now I would use a fire stick, Google Chromecast, Roku device etc that would be a work around for now until an update has been made. Hope this helps you 🙂👍

Of course you can do it with netflix black, but it doesn't solve the problem, I already tried. Wimius to me replied "you can use netflix black." AAXA P7+ hands down has a far brighter picture compared to all the other portable battery powered projectors I've reviewed. One down side of this machine is you can not power this projector from a portable battery bank. The Wimius Q2 pro has a much better pixel density and the resolution looked better. However, the Wimius Q2 pro lacked sharpness and it wasn't sharp across the board, especially on the sample of the Q2 Pro that I reviewed. This might not be the case for all Wimius Q2 Pros, it's luck of the draw in terms of sharpness on all projectors. Where the AAXA P7+ had excellent sharpness all the way across the frame, especially on the sample I reviewed. Also, at the time of my review there was no way to adjust the colours within any picture settings which may be a downside for some users. But this may of been fixed now through an over the air update. (I haven't checked this yet) For portablity the Wimius Q2 pro is better because it can fit in your pocket, and can run a power bank to extend battery life. The AAXA P7+ brightness output was far superior! Which makes the images pop more and come to life. Cons you can't extend battery life from a pocket power bank. Build quality on both machines was excellent, and so was is reliability. I hope this helps you 🙂👍

That is correct! I think the power input was 18 or 19v so it wouldn't charge the device from a portable USB power bank. Although it may work from a big power station the big camping ones. But not a USB pocket power bank which was a shame. Your would need the official Power adapter to make it run and charge at the same time, which requires you to plug it in at the wall. My screen was 80 inches and I was 2.6 meteres away from the projector screen. The zoom function does work I covered the zoom setting at 12.54 minuites. Zoom is only for reducing the image not increasing the image! In order to increase the image size you need to move the projector forward. I'm not sure what review you watched, but I covered everything you just mentioned in my review. Focus was excellent on this machine , so was keystone adjustment. I cover all the projectors User interface on all my reviews, so maybe you skipped some of the video and you missed it.

Hi buddy, 👋 I've just checked the manual for you and it states these recommend projection distances. 60" 5.88ft (1.79m) 80" 7.84ft (2.79m) 100" 9.8ft (2.99m) 200" 19.61ft (5.98m) 250" 24.51ft (7.47m) I haven't tested the throw distance but my setup is 2.6 meters away from the wall and im projecting an 80" image. Hi thanks for your comment. This is a tough one for me, because I had few issues with the Yaber K2s. Such as a noisy focus motor, and some major dust issues that was getting into the optics. If I didn't experience these issues, then the Yaber K2s would slightly have the edge in terms of brightness and sharpness. But the Aurzen Boom outperforms the Yaber K2s in terms of black level perfomance and gaming. The Yaber K2s wasn't great for gaming with high input lag, whilst the Aurzen Boom's gaming performance was outstanding. In my opinion the Aurzen Boom is better value for money. But in the specs it does state it can achieve this screen size, so I don't think you will have much of a problem at this size. I don't have any input lag testers but I do play on getting one eventually. But if I had to guess it would be in the 20-30ms range. Input lag was excellent on this machine and it was a joy to game on 🙂👍

Hi there, I didn't see this comment so I'm sorry for the late reply. Did you manage to get airplay working? There is 2 dedicated buttons at the top of the remote. 1 for mirracast, and 1 for airplay just underneath the power buttons. I don't have any apple iPhone or iPad devices in my home so I haven't tested the airplay function.

The fan noise is relatively the same as most projectors I've tested. It does sound noisy, but that's to be expected as the fan is a lot smaller compared to home projectors, and it has to spin at a faster speed, to keep the projector cool. You will hear the fan noise on all projectors unfortunately, I'm yet to hear a fully silent one. Hope this helps 🙂👍

Hi there, 👋 I can't remember having this problem. Did you do the latest software update? The latest is UI_V20231014.092613. If you are running an older software please update it to the newest version and let me know if this solves anything. I will check mine again as soon as I find My mini HDMI cable, I can't seem to find mine at the moment. Please email Wimius letting them know about the issue, the more that report it, then they can find a software fix for this. If you reach out to them they may be able to help you. 🙂👍

When I'm home I will check in order to be sure. I hope you will find that cable to test it out. Anyway I've not found any post around regarding this issue and it is not an issue that a customer should consider forgettable so I hope it is something related to my Q2 and not this model in general. Btw as I told before as soon as you change the input to HDMI it says something like "from now on the only working buttons are Back and Home" and doesn't mention volume buttons. :/

Hi there, I've just found the cable and tested this for you. And I have the exact same problem, only the back and home button works, I can't adjust the volume either as the volume keys don't work. This is clearly a Bug on the operating system that needs to be addressed. If you let Wimius know you have this problem, and that I've checked as well, and have the same issue. then It must be all devices with the current update. This is correct 🙂👍 So Instead of the projector booting straight to the android operating system, the projector will boot to the HDMI source you selected. Hope this helps 🙂👍

Hi, this projector is capable of projecting an image of 300 inches. Here is the throw distance specs 1.6m 49" 2m 60" 2.5m 75" 3m 93" 3.5 105" 4m 125" 4.5m 141" 5m 157" 6m 300" With a margin of 3% inaccuracy. If you go online and type in throw distance calculator put in the Wimius P64 what size you need and you should get the exact measurements. Hope this information helps you 🙂👍

The Wimius P62 and P64 are great projectors for the price.👍 Keep in mind they are not smart projectors so you would need to plug in a smart device into the back of the hdmi port suck as a fire stick, Google Chromecast, Roku, etc These projectors are great for movies, but when it comes so gaming they are a little slow for racing games and FPS games. Not a big difference in performance I think the P64 has 50 ANSI lumens more which is hardly noticeable. And the P64 has slightly better sound from the speakers, and you can use the projector as a Bluetooth speaker. It all depends what projector you like more and what features you need. The p62 is lighter and smaller and easy to take anywhere as it comes with its own rucksack which is very handy. Hope this helps 🙂👍

Hi, I haven't tested this projector on the PC but I did try playing games with the Xbox series X and there was quite a bit of input lag when playing FPS games, and racing games. Platform games, and story type games are much better. For general web surfing and viewing videos from a PC the p62 will be great! But if your after playing fast action paced games from a PC this probably won't be for you. Hope this helps 🙂👍

Hi, 👋 Yes the Wimius P64 can be mounted to the ceiling. I haven't tested the K9 but it's Wimius latest model so this should be better than the p64. Because the K9 has built in android, and has a higher level of brightness according to the specs. Hope this helps 🙂👍

Hi, If you are connected to the internet you should be able to do an over the air update if this is not available if you contact Wimius they should be able to provide you with the update files. You then just put the update files onto a usb stick and select update via usb, or it may detect the update on the usb stick as soon as you boot the projector. Let me know how you get on 😊👍

Hi there, I've tried looking online and I can't seem to find the update files online either. So your best bet is to contact Wimius and they should be able to send you the update files for this projector. They are pretty friendly and great at replying so it's worth contacting them. I do think it's strange that there's no online update when your running an older version. Have you tried using a VPN? or you could try connecting it to another network there could be some strange restriction on the network. If you have internet on your phone, you could turn on WiFi hotspot and connect the projector to your phones internet and search for an online update see if that changes anything. But your best bet is to try and install the update maunally via USB. Hope this helps you 🙂👍

@@ReviewingHub Thank you for taking the trouble, I've written to them and have yet to receive a reply. I have a VPN, but not on my router. I use it via software on my PC, TV and smartphone. It's probably a geographical restriction, I'm in Belgium. As the projector also offers a local upgrade, this file should be available on the Internet. Otherwise, I've figured out how to access the zoom, you have to deactivate the automatics. Too bad zoom isn't on the remote control, like focus.

Oh that's great! I'm glad you figured it out in the end. I'm not sure sure what features your missing or what the new update added or fixed. But hopefully you can get the new update soon either by online or by doing it yourself. Glad you figured it out 🙂👍

I haven't tested the chrome app on this projector I only tested the built in apps that was already installed on the machine. But I think you can use chrome. 🙂👍 You can also plug any smart device into the back on the projector such as a fire stick, Google Chromecast, Roku, etc if you can't gain access to chrome. pairing this projector with another smart device is a good idea if you already have one for full app compatibility. 🙂👍

Also, I have a discount code in my description that Aurzen gave me this may bring the price down even more Which may bring it down around your budget. Hi there, I haven't connected my laptop or PC to the projector to test this. But I'm pretty sure that this will be fine for netflix. You just can't cast from your phone to the projector due to HDCP protocols and copyright protection. But over an HDMI cable to a device should be OK. Hope this helps 🙂👍

That's puzzling ha ha.. Well that's what they told me this new machine is going to be called, hence why I named it the Pro. Maybe they are just going to do a direct replacement of the Q2 and not call it a pro model, or maybe they are planning on calling it something else entirely. But either way they did send me this machine for a review and told me it was going be the pro model. It's definitely real, I'm not that good at editing to make a completely fake video. Thanks for your input 🙂👍 As for sharpness it varies on all models I have 2 x Wimius P62s and one is sharper than the other even though it's the same machine. I usually state if sharpness was good across the board, the first Wimius P62 I received and reviewed was excellent! It's luck of the draw on all projectors when it comes to the sharpness level. I found the Wimius P63 to be less sharp across the board than the P62 models. But overall, still great machines for the price. Hope this helps 🙂👍

And I'm looking for a projector as a replace for a monitor. So for me the sharpness is the number one priority (best colors, wifi etc isnt necessary). And also 60Hz.

Hi Alan, VPN's are not something I usually use when testing as I don't have a subscription with any.. And usually the free ones are slow and affect internet performance. I have some advice for you on the slow down of the machine. If you hold down the home button, this will bring up all the background running applications, so by closing these down that should help a little with performance. In my testing I usually only test RUclips, netflix, and prime, I spend around 3-4 hours with each machine filing the video So I don't test them long term. After my initial review I tried some of the on demand apps, such as bbci, all 4, channel 5 etc and it said Google services was not supported and refused to run these applications. I have notified Wimius of this, so hopefully they are working on a solution to fix these outdated apps in an upcoming update. Hope this answers some of your questions. 🙂👍

If Wimius load a standard Android version then the apps should work. it's a pity they don't. it's good that people know about it's limitations. it would be a nice device otherwise. in it's current build it's not suitable as a tv substitute.

Yes I agree 🙂👍 At present the inbuilt smart features will not replace a fire stick, Roku, Google Chromecast, or android TV. But we can connect one of these devices to the mini HDMI port on the projector so not all is lost. 🙂👍

They planned on releasing this product at the end of may. But maybe they are running late on production or they might be making other alterations. Yes it has WiFi 🙂👍 and no it doesn't have an internal battery. You need the projector plugged into mains power for it to work 🙂👍

Because during my demonstrating I was showing how the keystone works, zooming in and angling the corners. I made it fit the screen perfectly at 13.27 clearly you didn't watch the whole video. 🤷 But thank you for your input 🙂👍

Just look out for the new IR window on the front of the machine for the correct version. I'm guessing around 1-2 weeks. Wimius are pretty good at answering customers questions. Hi there, from all the projectors I've tested the Yaber K1 has been the best machine. Although its not a smart projector so doesn't have android built into the machine like the K2. The K2 is also an excellent machine but I did have a few quality control issues with the one I received, so I can't recommend it over the K1. The K1 has far better dust resistance, better build quality, and the contrast and sharpness was better on the K1.. I'll be reviewing the Aurzen Boom 3 soon.. I haven't tested this yet, but it does looks promising it has built in android and Dolby, netflix, and Amazon certification. There's a few RUclips videos out on RUclips already on this machine. so you may want to check this model out also.. But so far on my channel the Yaber K1 takes the win.. Followed by the Wimius p62 and p64 for budget projectors. Hope this helps 🙂👍

I hear Dangbei mars is a pretty awesome machine. I haven't tested this machine yet so I can't give you my full thoughts on it. I did reach out to Dangbei a few months back but I don't think they was interested as my channel is only small. Maybe as my channel grows the brand might contact me. Black spots and white spots are a pretty common problem when it comes to LCD projectors. That's just dust landing on the LCD and we're the light passes through the LCD is shows up on the image. I know this can be vary annoying! But your machine can be fixed with a quick clean of the LCD and this should remove those black and white spots on the image. Sadly dust still creeps in on optically sealed projectors. You might want to check out DLP projectors this projector technology is far better for dust resistance. Hope this helps you 🙂👍

Hi there, this projector feels more like a 30hz machine to me, it, doesn't seem to keep up with fast driving games. There's also quite a bit input lag on FPS type games I've noticed. This machine is excellent for home cinema use, that's certainly fantastic for the price. But gaming isn't it's strong point. But for retro games, platform games, and story type games games they are definitely playable and should be ok for most people. Many websites claim this is a 60hz machine in the specs maybe reach out to Wimius and ask the support before purchase. They are pretty friendly and are really good with customers questions. It also says on amazon at least that it has upto 450 inches size. How do you increase that? In settings the only option I see is 100% which doesn't indicate size.

They quote up to 300 inches in the manual and on the Amazon UK website. The only way you can achieve larger sizes like that is to move the projector further back from the wall. The zoom function is to only for decreasing the image size not increasing the size. If you have a small home and you can't move the projector back far enough from the wall then large sizes of 300 inches won't be achievable. You simply need more space. The projection distances are printed In the manual. Also, type into Google projection distance calculator and click on a few websites. Then input the projector model how big you need the screen size and this should tell you how far you need to be back from the wall to reach that screen size. Hope this helps you 🙂👍

I Purchased it off eBay and the product was fully sealed in plastic outer wrapping. I stated this in the video! I did open the box before posting a review to check everything was ok with the machine first, and nothing was damaged or missing. I just received a bad copy of this machine that's all, It happens unfortunately! Being untrustworthy doesn't benefit me or the channel, or the public watching the content. Hi there, No there projector doesn't have a memory card slot, but it does have 2 USB ports. I've connected a USB stick to the projector but it gave me no options to expand the storage as internal memory. So I think the USB ports are only for viewing files. Yes the memory is quite low on this machine but it's fantastic for netflix, RUclips, and prime video. These are the only apps I've used on this machine, but I here some apps are unsupported. It's recommended pairing this machine with an external device, suck as an Amazon fire stick, Google Chromecast, or Roku device for better app compatibility. Hope this helps you 🙂👍

Yes you can but only when on a HDMI source you hold down the menu button and go down to TV settings and there's various picture settings in there that you can change. But these pictures settings are not available on the Android part of the projector. Hope this helps you 🙂👍

Hi I've just checked this for you. And the specs are as follows: Input 100-240v 50/60hz 1.0A Output 21.0v -- 1.8A 37.8w On the bottom of the projector the label the Input says DC 21v. Hope this information helps you 🙂

The K2 is a much better machine, however it did suffer with dust issues as mentioned in my review. But with a simple modification i solved that issue. I did a review on the fix but it's not a ideal. Hopefully Yaber would have solved these issues by now. But for the money the Wimius p62 is an excellent machine. But depends how much your willing to spend as the Yaber cost significantly more 🙂👍
