Hey, ich abe auch die PRO Version bekommen. Bin happy damit. Einziger Nachteil, man kann nicht in die Bildeinstellungen währen man zum Beispiel ein Testbild von RUclips schaut. Somit kann man sehr schlecht alles einstellen. Vielleicht kann eine neuere Software das dann :-)

thanks for this reivew, I'm interested in knowing if there are any upgrades in terms of native resolution and ANSI lumens compared to the previous model, or if the changes are primarily focused on the look and minor features.
Yes if you skip to 28 mins in the video you will see the difference in resolution change.
There are time stamps in the description so you can jump to the parts you're interested in.
This device has definitely been improved over the previous version.

Thank you! Device is very noisy? "Fan Noise Test" sounds terrible loud. Maybe it is phone record and ears don't hear that noise?
The fan noise is relatively the same as most projectors I've tested.
It does sound noisy, but that's to be expected as the fan is a lot smaller compared to home projectors, and it has to spin at a faster speed, to keep the projector cool.
You will hear the fan noise on all projectors unfortunately, I'm yet to hear a fully silent one.

I bought this new version.
Too bad the white Netflix app doesn't work, it says "this device (ocolus) is not supported" Only solution they suggested from wimius is to use black, but it's bad, it doesn't keep login and doesn't save login data.... disastrous!
Please help me understand how I can and if I can use the white version of netflix, as it happens in this video.... otherwise it sucks and I have to return it...

You are correct! 👍 I also discovered this after my review, that it doesn't keep netflix logins.
You may be able to side load different versions of the Netflix app but that's something I will need to look into and experiment with.
The white netflix app was working great on this machine for me..
Have you tried updating the netflix app, or deleting and reinstalling it?
You might be able to go on Google Chrome on the projector, go to playstore and update netflix that way.
Wimius have sent me their latest Q3 model, I'm in the middle of this review right now, and it should be released next week.
Unfortunately this also suffers from the same problem and the netflix app isn't user friendly.
I've contacted Wimius about these issues and hopefully they are working on over the air update soon.
The problem we have on these machines is they are not Netflix certified, Which I should imagine costs money to be certified.
So it's all about keeping the cost down, or Wimius would have to increase the prices to pay for the netflix certification.
For now I would use a fire stick, Google Chromecast, Roku device etc that would be a work around for now until an update has been made.

@@ReviewingHub Hi friend, thanks for your reply! Unfortunately white netflix turns out to be a system application, and you can't uninstall and reinstall. Of course you can do it with netflix black, but it doesn't solve the problem, I already tried. Wimius to me replied "you can use netflix black." But it's really kind of sad-it made me lose the happiness of a perfect purchase!
Then it still remains a great item but this certification issue is really boring...cmq thank you for your help, please please if you have any news about this, keep the comments here updated...
I have a question for you...is the Q3 you are testing still a device like Q2, extremely portable and with built-in battery? I might give it some thought if I don't keep the Q2....
Great review. I would be interested to see how it performs with a VPN and IPTV apps running simultaneously. The old version could not handle Surfshark/IPTVsmarters. It was very slow with Surfshark/isportpro. Also i would like to see if new version can run the regular apps like bbc iplayer, all4, rteplayer, virginmediaolayer. All of these apps were eitger unsupported or unusable on the old Q2. If you could do a new video with side by side tests it would be helpful. Its disappointing the new Q2 doesn't have increased RAM as it really was too slow clunky and very bad user experience. Id consider buying the upgraded version only if the above is supported. Thanks!
Hi Alan, VPN's are not something I usually use when testing as I don't have a subscription with any..
And usually the free ones are slow and affect internet performance.
I have some advice for you on the slow down of the machine. If you hold down the home button, this will bring up all the background running applications, so by closing these down that should help a little with performance.
In my testing I usually only test RUclips, netflix, and prime, I spend around 3-4 hours with each machine filing the video So I don't test them long term.
After my initial review I tried some of the on demand apps, such as bbci, all 4, channel 5 etc and it said Google services was not supported and refused to run these applications.
I have notified Wimius of this, so hopefully they are working on a solution to fix these outdated apps in an upcoming update.

@@ReviewingHub Thanks for checking those apps. Maybe Wimius can fix this. I had closed all background apps. If Wimius load a standard Android version then the apps should work. it's a pity they don't. it's good that people know about it's limitations. it would be a nice device otherwise. in it's current build it's not suitable as a tv substitute.

At present the inbuilt smart features will not replace a fire stick, Roku, Google Chromecast, or android TV.
But we can connect one of these devices to the mini HDMI port on the projector so not all is lost. 🙂👍
I would like to buy 1 but I don't see it for sell for the pro. Where do I go to get one?
Hi there, 👋 if you reach out to Wimius via email you may be able to purchase one from them directly.
It doesn't look like this version is available to purchase yet as I can't seem to find it listed.
They planned on releasing this product at the end of may.
But maybe they are running late on production or they might be making other alterations.
Only Wimius can answer these questions so it's worth sending them an email.

The resolution is 720p as far as I'm aware, definitely an improvement over the previous version.

I contacted them and asked them when I could purchase this, and they said not developed Q2 Pro yet ??? Is this for real?
That's puzzling ha ha.. Well that's what they told me this new machine is going to be called, hence why I named it the Pro.
Maybe they are just going to do a direct replacement of the Q2 and not call it a pro model, or maybe they are planning on calling it something else entirely.
But either way they did send me this machine for a review and told me it was going be the pro model.
It's definitely real, I'm not that good at editing to make a completely fake video.

@@ReviewingHub It' okay, but i cant get it to focus right, if it's blury on one side an i focus, then it's blury on the other, no matter what screen size.

I saw both versions and I think I'll go for the Q2 upgraded, but where can you buy it? It seems that Amazon here in the USA doesn't have it. Could you tell me where I can buy it and I also want to thank you for the review of the two mini projectors.

Wimius tell me this should be available on the Amazon website very soon. And most likely on their own website too.
Just look out for the new IR window on the front of the machine for the correct version.
I'm guessing around 1-2 weeks. Wimius are pretty good at answering customers questions. So if you drop them an email they might be able to tell you the exact date.

Not at the moment unfortunately.
But I'm hoping there will either be an over the air update released.
Or perhaps a downloadable file so we can update via USB stick.
