It was just outside St. Louis in 96 ❤️ I can still feel the energy. Deftones played first, then White Zombie and finally this badass group! 🙌 Perfection!
I saw that tour here in Kansas with I hate God opening for everybody! My friend Jared and I each brought 20 joints to the concert in a pack of cigarettes each! We smoked up a huge part of the crowd throughout the night! Yes we did smoke all 40 joints at the concert! Lol

Literally the first Pantera song i ever heard. Was school holidays when I was 14 and my half brothers were visiting from their dad's place. I was brought up on pop music and Christian rock and actually had to lie and say that Pantera wasn't going to he a bad influence, after a little coercion from my bro! Was the summer of my musical awakening as by the time they went home, I was the proud owner of Sepultura's Roots, Demanufacture by Fear Factory, and Far Beyond Driven (with the soon outlawed obscene cover art. Thank you Sanity Australia!). Vulgar joined the list not long after my brothers went home and thus was born a decade of an intense love affair with metal. While I have mellowed in my age, I can still picture that tiny lounge room when I hear Phil belt out the lyrics "by demons, be driven!". Thanks for the memories lads. Still miss you Dimebag, you are one of the fuckin GOAT!

De pronto, como la portada del mismo album "Vulgar Display of Power" me cayó como puñetazo en la cara. Si bien "Walk" cumplía los estandares, la propuesta de Pantera, consistía en un cambio radical que me aturdía por no encajar con lo establecido. El cambio de ritmo, la omniprescencia de Darrell y sus riffs mezclados con escalas alucinantes y la poderosa voz de Anselmo me hicieron toparme con pared por mucho tiempo. El resto es historia, Pantera paso a formar parte de mi gusto musical al grado que el dia de hoy me es imposible escuchar musica de Metalica sin desear que a media cancion rompan el ritmo, que haya requintos salvajes y escalas que hagan mierda el opiaceo adormecimiento que inducia el headbanging.
Dimes riffing in the verses are so awesome . Such a bluesy southern riff with the right blend of pinch harmonics. Love the multiple walk downs of that riff to bring it back around again. it’s pretty sick
The production on VDOP is by far some of,....if not the best in metal history. It's SOOOOO FKN HEAVY. Dimes guitar sound is otherworldly. No other album compares.

Dimes riffing in the verses are so awesome . Such a bluesy southern riff with the right blend of pinch harmonics. Love the multiple walk downs of that riff to bring it back around again. it’s pretty sick

The production on VDOP is by far some of,....if not the best in metal history. It's SOOOOO FKN HEAVY. Dimes guitar sound is otherworldly. No other album compares.

Bueno, volvieron el 2022, espero puedas ir a verlos, yo no perdí la oportunidad y los fui a ver 2 veces, aunque lamentablemente no estaba Rex Brown por COVID, fue un excelente espectáculo y sonaban brutales.
