Other than being tired at the end it’s what we actually look forward to. A decent day on the water with many likeminded folk. Congrats from Ontario, Canada
Hey guys, yet another awesome video, so was this harder than LochAwesome? What do you folks wear when boarding like this? I tried a wet suit but too hot so tried 5mm neoprene longjohns and still too hot 😮
Hey Andy, thanks so much! This event was definitely a lot easier than Loch Awesome! We completed this the year before Loch Awesome. I (Chloe) wore Musto wetsuit leggings/bottoms. I believe they were about 3mm thick. Harry wore the same but the shorts version. We both wore rash vests, life jackets, raincoats and paddle board shoes. For Loch Awesome we did also wear a Musto wetsuit long sleeve top because the temperature dropped during this challenge. We found this to be the best option! I’ve linked the musto shorts here for you - www.marinesuperstore.com/clothing-dinghy/neo-longjohns/musto-flexlite-vapour-1-0-shorts?attribute_size=L&attribute_colour=Grey&MSS&gclid=Cj0KCQjwy5maBhDdARIsAMxrkw0Rck8z3_njFQ89Ui7YELV06RtwCl_fnUdQN_W6BgBuAMQdXSH1SRkaAgCmEALw_wcB Hope that helps!☺️
Hey Steve! We did a little bit of training but not a lot. I think the longest paddle we did before the event was 10 miles. I wouldn’t worry too much about training, the river does have a good flow. You just have to be prepared to be on the water all day. Its more of a mental challenge than a physical challenge, in my opinion. Hope you have a awesome time! Chloe 😊
Seriously, how hard is it to pump up a SUP with a manual pump ? The reason I ask is that I am about to buy my first paddleboard having hired boards in 2021 and have narrowed my choice down to two: the iRocker All-Around 11’ or the Bluefin Cruise. The BlueFin however comes with a free electric pump. A mate who owns one says the electric pump is almost essential, but to be fair he only got a single chamber manual pump with his board. The iRocker is a 2-chamber pump
Hey Brian, the board isn't too bad to pump up, it takes us about 5 minutes to pump up each board. We have the 2-chamber pump for our BlackFin Model V boards. Pumping up the boards is actually a good warm-up before heading out to paddle! We also have an electric pump and use it when we can but the majority of the time we pump up our boards manually.
@@jonsutcliffe8508 Thanks .. No doubt I'll give it a try soon enough, but as I got a free 12V pump with my SUP I've not needed the hand pump yet. Regards from Whitley Bay .. they had SUP racing here today .. I've just finished editing my YT video 😀😀

It isn't hard at all, even with a single chamber pump. A 5 minute warmup.

Hey, we aren't shy you can't view the video. We have looked into it and there doesn't seem to be anything going on our end! Sorry about that. 😬
