I LOVE any and all CST videos. It's what I wish was around years ago when I just wasn't impressed with "Arnold Schwarzenegger" style workouts and wanted something different.

The first thing that comes to my mind is that Pat should be playing Snake in a Metal Gear movie. He could really do a great job. He got the skills and the background to be Snake. Even though he is not an actor. Otherwise, it's a great video and really good training.

This is so awesome! I’m definitely going to incorporate some of these exercises into my routine. Also this gives me one hell of a goal to shoot for, because you are way more jacked at 50 than I am at 33, lol.

i agree. i like the strap things he's doin. im gonna try and DIY my own by using some lashing straps instead of the $180 Henny straps. i doubt i will be getting anywhere close to the load limit on the lashing straps, so i think i should be fine. plan is to get out to the store and get some straps today and try it at the gym tomorrow. if i dont respond tomorrow...then my plan did not work as expected..and im dead. lol

The great thing about military PT we did is that the body could never get used to routine. We always did something different.
Army Infantry
If you go to a commercial gym and look around, virtually nobody is sweating. Even the guys lifting heavy stand around so much between sets that they are not sweating. That's why I love Pat's CST approach. I can lift heavy but also maintain a higher HR and involve cardio into the workout to build full body strength and resilience.

I swing the hell out of an axe and cut brush a lot with many of the same planes of movement shown here (transverse/sagittal, some frontal). I try to use the work I do on my property to hit many of the same concepts. Need to work on the speed & hypertrophy stuff. THANK YOU Bro!
Why work out when you can work? Nothing is more functional. Work out when you run out of work. I recognize this is more of a rural concept; more opportunities for heavy work.

I want to see Pat actually use his top level training against a pro mma fighter who is about his age. Just an exhibition match but still full on power shots and submissions. Randy Couture or Fedor Emelianenko would be awesome.

Any decent fitness equipment supply store will have them, except for the riding mower & the pickup ;)
Check for used fitness shops also, much cheaper but possibly limited/random availability for any particular item.
