Ive flown all over europe and checkin usualy opens two hours before and most places atleast the big airports have checkin kiosk. I live in Norway we also have same thing where you scan the ticket to get to the security area.
That's so funny about the earthquake notice thing at the airport, but it really is true that during an earthquake, especially a big one, even though instinctively you will feel like you want to get the hell out of the building, it is indeed much safer to stay inside, even if it is wobbly like crazy.
Today we join our Bearded Nerd as he begrudgingly goes to the Mecca of Japanese nerd culture Akihabara, where he and Joseph (thank you for your service btw) go check out a few game/toys shops where with a few exceptions everything is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too overpriced. Later on they go and get some good quality Chinese food, RAMEN. The next day Adam shows off a nice looking Japanese style Indian food place and enjoys his last full day in the country. And finally the next day Mr. Koralik heads home back to the Windy City of Chicago bringing the V-log series to a close. - Adam, once again thank you so much for doing this series of videos on this trip, I really ebjoyed it. Looking forward to the next adventure series. See you next time.
I can’t believe this is the end 😭 I want that VB kiosk so baddd. I’d be so entertained in that toy area. I love toys even if I don’t buy them. That peanut next to the back to the future happy meal thing could easily be a thing in your discord lol. It was sad to see the former Sega building. That Indian food looked good too. I’d love to be able to try one day.
you left out an important tip for travelling to Japan. What method do you use to knock out during the plane trip? I've been to Asia 6 times and every flight I have to slump down on my chair in zombie mode, unable to watch movies or even play games for hours on end.
Kura sushi was so much fun! We ate like 55 plates and won twice lol. The sushi was good and it was fun to play the games, plus they had a pretty nice choice of desserts so I tried like 3 different things. We had to wait like 2 hours to get a seat tho, good to know first thing its not such a long wait
Yeah, you get it! It's easier to just go solo. Two seats require sitting next to each other which is why it takes so long. But if you're there around when it opens, then no problem.
Sad to see this series end! (but I'd imagine a return trip at some point in the future?!) Interestingly I found suruga-ya's website online! Definitely curious to see how ordering something off of it might go, though it'll have to wait til I actually have money, haha.
Yeah I have to totally agree with you when it comes to European airports. Specially after the complete crapfest last years where I had to stand in line for hours to pass security and then run like a lunatic to catch my flight.
I made it to the end of the video and u kept calling my name lol. I have a few places to show you if we ever end up in Japan at the same time, I think you'd really like them and they were super neat
@Flying & Eating With Adam Koralik the best Curry is the one you met in KC lol. Really enjoyed your content, this was fun to see thru someone else's eyes
I see you've managed your greatest accomplishment to date: Spend all those Japanese pennies in one session. (At least I hold onto the American ones for their copper. Aluminum hasn't had much value since the 19th Century.)
Thanks for enduring all this weeb shit for us Adam lol. Also as a fun fact, Nakano Broadway is featured as the primary location in the video game Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. Judging by this video they did a pretty good job of recreating it in that game imo
I hate anime as well, but the Shenmue anime was quite excellent, you're truly missing out. That being said, really enjoyed this series, I can totally see myself going to Japan now as a result of watching this series.
Akihabara has become utter crap unfortunately. Completely not worth the visit anymore. It’s much better to just mark all the hard offs on google maps and start heading to them.
Another great video, looking forward to more of your trips!
Enjoyed every vid you uploaded ,thanks man 👍
Have a safe journey back home and we'll catch you back home with all your stuff 👋
Oh I already did the videos of the stuff I got. They came out back in December. :P
@@AdamEatsTheWorld Oh man i only just figured that the "too many games pickups" video was from this trip to Japan 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This series was great man.

The fact that it's only two hours is psychotic.
"Don't just show up at the airport" That inflection gave me flashbacks of my older brother sassing me.
Ha.

8:44 you saved the thing i wanted until the last video😂
Adam doesn't like anime, he prefers heroes dressed in spandex and people dressed in rubber monster suits.
Correct.

It's the Jimmy Carter peanut.
"When you find a $1000 item for $40 and don't have room, you throw your clothes away." -My wife 🤣
Clothes weren't the problem, hell, they're packing material.
After seeing this series I really wanna fly out and explore the world, hopefully I can do it at some point in the future
Glad I could help, hopefully, inspire a little bit!
8:44 Sheesh, I have that Majora's Mask soundtrack, I paid $20 for it like a decade ago.

Nothing, I just sit there.

I'm responding to you from Japan.
@@AdamEatsTheWorld oh right I remembered you went back, but didn't know if you'd left again, LOL!
It’s just the beginning, have you ever watched Back to the Future?… stay tuned! 😎
Thank you for your service btw

Yep, it's stunning how they have no idea how to run them.
My next goal in life is to be in a Flying and Eating with Adam Koralik thumbnail.
The Emperor voice and the Mickey Mouse voice, very nice 😁
Gaijins know about the prices in Akihabara more these days for sure.
I made it to the end of the video and u kept calling my name lol. I have a few places to show you if we ever end up in Japan at the same time, I think you'd really like them and they were super neat
Ha, didn't even think of that.
And yeah that'd be cool.

"I understood that reference."
I see you've managed your greatest accomplishment to date: Spend all those Japanese pennies in one session. (At least I hold onto the American ones for their copper. Aluminum hasn't had much value since the 19th Century.)
Yes, it was annoying as hell.
Unfortunately... I've since acquired more.

You have reached Akihabara. Don't go alone take this...#Voltron's blazing sword😊 and a beer mug of Coca cola
Right.... ramen isn't Japanese. And by the way, hamburgers aren't American either, they're German.
I know, I've been to Hamburg.

"Akihabara is bad", goes to Akihabara. You're a hypocrite. Who's with me?
Can we get a Patreon episode where you go to a hentai store? 🤣
Ha, no
Alright dude, relax. We get it you hate anime.
Cool!
Akihabara has become utter crap unfortunately. Completely not worth the visit anymore. It’s much better to just mark all the hard offs on google maps and start heading to them.
After seeing Adam look annoyed that he was in Akihabara I now need to watch Filthy Frank's video on why weebs are a problem in society 🤣
