McDonald's History, Al Bundy's House, & Presidential Sites (Chicago) - Adam Koralik
Hey. Mr. Sunshine on the U S.S. Fife DD 991
Eww a WA plate at the trinity site! Lol All jokes aside this was freaking cool to see. It reminds me a lot of another site if it was more accessible to the public. That breaking bad house story is hysterical to me lmao.
I moved to Guam(Anderson AFB) in ‘60 when my Dad had to follow the 509th BW. He was the Deputy Commander of Maintenance during that time. We skin dived and spear fished all over the land from Merizo in the. south to Anderson. We used to shoot four to ten pounds of fish and take them by the Hospital in Tumon on our way home.
Lie
Oh dude I know, but the government pays me to keep the secret truth about aliens being responsible.
Sega Ploutine
@AdamKoralik OMFG - if you ever come back to Bath message me and I will take you to all the best food spots!!!!
Is this all in one day?
I tend to keep a time tracker at the bottom of the screen indicating which day is which. I think that one was like five days.
I understand to a point with being annoyed with constant people coming up and looking at the house and taking pictures all the time. But on the other hand, their house was in one of the best TV shows in the past 17 years. Having people come up to take pictures, comes with the territory.
@adam Jimmy Carter died
Yep, I know.
The breaking bad home owners feel like a weird thing they'd have in the show or like a GTA game or something lol just crazy
Sega Plutonium
So cool seeing all this... umm, depressing US history on a Weapon of Mass Destruction. But hey, I'm sure there's some good inventions to come out of that site. Anyway, thanks Adam and Sunny Man. Looking forward to part 2.
Thank you again for a new adventure!
Barrrth NOT Baaath
Moronic, they did not keep planes in there. If you are going to show historic sites how about reading the signs & relaying the info......had to stop watching
This guy is an idiot
Harold Norman was the most devastating witness against a knoll shooter . He heard 3 shots directly above him and he was on the 5 th floor directly below Oswald’s perch . He heard only 3 shots . Norman saw dust from the ceiling land on Bonnie Rae Williams head who was also with him along with Junior Jarman . Good call on Bonnie Williams role in this . Jarman also had a role in disputing Oswald’s alibi that he was eating lunch with Jarman . Jarman never saw him .
Hallelujah, after 60 years of conspiracies, no trial, and a lot of unanswered questions, this kid who wasn't even alive when this happened just solved the case, having never really answering any of the questions that the Warren commission never answered!
Best part of that is you think of me as a kid.
Yeah i didn't know that nowehere else had kolaches until i moved to L.A. when i was 21. Which is weird, because literally every single donut place in Houston has kolaches. Never even heard of one that doesn't have them in Houston.
The ravioli kolaches (and all of them really) at the 85 Degrees spot is incredible. They also have what is probably the best ham & cheese kolache in the entire world
You absolutely MUST go to Dos Batos Tacos next time you're in Austin, and get the kids quesadillas with steak (and tell them not to cut it into slices, so it's more like a steak flour taco) Absolutely the very best!
Thanks for the suggestion!
Can you pay in Yen?
On base or ...?
@ Sorry, I didn’t make it clear. Yes, on base.
Probably, I didn't attempt to.
Thanks for doing this series
Thanks for watching!
He was a hillbilly criminal and key to GROWING the military industrial complex with the Vietnam war. JFK was in the way of the deep state..
Sure, why not.
Very interesting video as always.
Thanks!
This likely being one of your last videos of 2024, I wish you a fantastic Christmas and hope that 2025 brings you more than you could imagine. Dreamcast stuff, Shenmue stuff, whatever would make you happy I hope comes about. Merry Christmas Adam.
Thanks dude! But actually there's still like...three or four more. :P
@AdamEatsTheWorld well then I'll just continue to do relevant well wishes I guess my dude
First Travel Channel video I've watched and wow I'm blown away, really fantastic video Adam. Really awesome to see your love and appreciation for american history
Thanks, please watch more!
@@AdamEatsTheWorld Definitely plan to!
That "Robo-Johnson" is fucking creepy as hell.
It's a good Presidential Library just poorly laid out. Anyways, thanks Adam and Chip.
Thanks for this video Adam! Great to see
Well, at least we have more Chip.
My papaw and his parents was missionaries on Guam around 1950
Wrong not B-52, B-29 and Bockcar.
Appreciate the correction.
Thanks Adam, I was stationed at Anderson AFB in the late 70's, I was assigned to Strategic Air Command, so we had very little off duty time always on alert, but the time we did get we explored all over, The Islanders were some of the most friendly people I have ever met, many of my co workers were from the islands, back then there was very few jobs so many young folks went into the military, and being it was a remote assignment you could stay as long as you want, provided not wars started up, Many fond memories!!
Hope this gave you nostalgia!
I hear ya on mexican food, we live in socal and it's just a short walk from a mexican grocery store and their deli in the back serves up some pretty bomb mexican, I could live off their quesadillas as long as I could afford to, haha. (I'm sure a lot of the regulars get tired of this story but in case any new folks didn't know, haha.) some amazing food and tbh sign me up for that coke float. :P
Great video as always. 1:32 i literally out loud said "Guarana Antarctica". So good. 5:55 85 degrees has awesome stuff. to be honest ive always mostly got their savory stuff. my favorites are the cheese dog and the ham & cheese. will have to try that white choco strawberry because that looks awesome. 10:40 you sort of mention it later, but fun fact, there are different iterations of the Starbucks Reserve locations. The one here in this video is specifically the "roastery/ tasting room" where they actually roast the beans and do everything else like special drinks and such. Then there are Reserve stores which are essentially just normal Starbucks stores, but they dont roast, they just have the Reserve bar and sell the Reserve bags of beans. Like, the Starbucks location closest to my house has the Nitro Cold Brew on tap. But the ones down the street dont because they're arent "Reserve" locations. 11:20 so you can actually have this same experience if you go to 3rd Wave/specialty coffee shops. Drinking coffee black is super smooth and has tons of flavor. Most 2nd Wave coffee places (Sbux, Peets, Coffee Bean, etc) over-roast their coffee and it tastes like burnt toast and cigarettes. Coffee is divided into to tiers; 1st Wave (Folgers, Maxwell House, Yuban), 2nd Wave (Peets, Sbux, Coffee Bean), and 3rd Wave (Stumptown, Intelligentsia, Blue Bottle). I worked in both 2nd Wave and 3rd Wave. Starbucks Reserve is like 2.5 Wave. It sits somewhere in between 2nd and 3rd wave coffee. Since you're a coffee guy, check out some 3rd wave shops (if there are any)in your area. Coffee quality and taste can go much higher than Sbux Reserve. Drinking black coffee is like almost like wine-tasting. It super fun, its smooth, and it has tons of flavor. Some of the craziest coffee Ive had is where this batch of coffee had tasting notes of hops and fruit. Ive also had black coffee taste like blue berry pancakes. And these coffees didnt have anything added for those flavors, those are just natural flavors the coffee beans get from the soil and region just like wine. Sorry, im a coffee nerd and will talk for hours about it!
Coffee nerds rule.
The gate still looks the same.
Hi Adam! I came across your Guam videos about a year ago, I was trying to relive my Guam visit from 2018, but I was moved by your memories you had with your mother, and took your advice to make new memories with my family. Last month, I visited Tokyo with my father, who's currently in his mid 70's. We had an experience of a lifetime full of what I hope to be warm memories! I hope you get back to Guam sometime soon! More people need to know how amazing the island is and how wonderful the people are. My wife and I are tentatively planning on visiting next year to visit our family that just moved back there. Take care, and thank you for your serv... content!
Thanks for watching!
If you ever end up DRIVING and eating between Austin and DFW, you should check out West, Texas (which, oddly enough, is in Central Texas). Since a large number of Czech immigrants settled there, it’s the kolache capital of Texas. Czech Stop (classic pit stop), Gerik’s (great kolaches, massive cinnamon rolls), Slovacek’s (mini Buc-ee’s)-each is worth a stop if you’re ever on I-35 just north of Waco.
Thanks for the info!
Do you park your car at the airport in Chicago or just have someone drop you off Adam?
Neither, I take the train.
I'm not much of an bbq and taco raccoon os I wean vist Texas it's more more the history and the sites. Adam if your ever here in Lafayette La in March not only will find alot of good eats but Louisiana Comic Con some times has good deals on Video games you can't get in the US and in my case it's the only way to get thing's like an Sony Net Yaroze, an Super GameBoy 2, an moded X-BOX and Anime on Blu-ray.
Oh Chip, Chip, Chip…. Still questioning the existence of Duck Boats???
He does, yes.
@ I admire his determination, no amount of evidence will deter him!!
Proof* We literally saw one and I was like "that's one right there!" And he was just like "there's nothing there."
