Even though this is supposed to be a scary movie, the ending never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Even with the unexpected jump-scare. With Sue’s saddened look as she walks to pay her respects, and the cruel, cruel writing on Carrie’s ‘grave’ along with melancholic music really makes you think what could have come of Carrie had she not had cruel people bullying her left and right along with a psychotic mother. Even though she’s the true victim of this story along with Tommy and Ms. Collins, in the end she lost. She lost her dreams, short-lived happiness, love, mother, and life. And the final shot of the graffiti shows people see her as a cruel monster, when she was just a victim.

I thought much the same way when I was much younger, but now looking at it again, Carrie murdered people. Her and her Mom were nuts!

@@vaskylark I'm talking about the movie margaret was nuts ok I'll give you that but carrie wasn't she was pushed to that level by her peers and her mother you can't sit here and say carrie was nuts when she clearly wasn't she was as he said a victim of bullying harassment and torment and finally snapped

    • @vaskylark
      @vaskylark 2 года назад +1

@@Mortalhater Yes, she was all of those things, the victim of bullying and abuse for sure, but she murdered people. Having a bucket of pigs blood dumped on you is awful and humiliating and cruel but it doesn't warrant murder, does it? She also killed her mother and while Mom was a deranged, mentally ill person she didn't deserve to die. She needed help and a strait jacket but not death. Carrie used her powers to kill and that is wrong. The crimes committed against Carrie did not equal her revenge. Sure, as moviegoers it might have been satisfying to see them get their comeuppance but from a human level and a reality level Carrie was dangerous and aside from the one girl who did the pigs blood and her boyfriend the others didn't deserve to die. Throwing tampons at a girl and saying, "plug it up" doesn't warrant death, does it?

U never forget something like this if this was to be real. My grandma jumped at this scene when her hand popped up. But what Sue didn't know is Carrie let her live because she knew she had remorse.

I think she just got lucky getting locked out of the prom by the gym teacher. Otherwise, she would have gone down with the rest of them.

I think it's important to note that Carrie killed people much more innocent than Sue. Carrie was also a remarkably powerful Shiner, which would have let her communicate with others telepathically. Personally, I see this ending as Carrie using her abilities past her death to remind Sue of the horror she put her through despite Sue's escape.

So sad at the end when Carrie's mom tried to kill her OWN daughter who loved her and wanted her to love her back. Heartbreaking but ppl need to realize there are consequences for bullying innocent ppl!

2:32 - That definetly reminded me of “Addams Family Values”, when Joel Glicker places a bouquet of flowers upon Debbie Jellinsky’s grave, and suddenly her corpse pops out and grabs his arm and he screams in terror, while Wednesday watches with such pleasure.

    0:32 - 1:12 Hello? 😧
Oh, Betty, thank God it's you.😅
    I don't think I could've handled
    one more reporter.😓
Yeah, well, we're all a little edgy.
She's better. Sleeping too much, I guess,
but Dr. Schneider said that's to be
expected after all she's been through.
Well, he said that she's young enough
so that she'll forget all about it in time.
No. I wouldn't let her go to the funerals.
With Tommy and all the others gone,
it's best we just go away for a while.😔

Fun fact: Amy Irving and Priscilla Pointer who play Sue Snell and Mrs. Snell are real life mother and daughter. Priscilla probably isn’t doing much in terms of acting because seeing your daughter so hysterical, even if you know it’s not real can’t be easy to see.
