How could anyone not like Peter boy or how COULD one dislike him too for that matter?? He's such a bundle of joyous colors & whimsically youthful as the kid with the imaginary friend!;) That was me too! I'd come far, seen almost too much, and surpassed most. I suppose those things are the rewarding value of learning early or being mistreated at a longer age. Love all, Matthew P. Simply (Deal)

Dude. I'm 13. I freaking LOVE Peter Gabriel. Songs like this, In Your Eyes and Shaking the Tree are amazing. Ahah, I'm more into stuff like U2, Genesis and Billy Joel... Stuff like that. Sure there's the occasional Lady Gaga, Coldplay or Train, but 80's and 90's music is what I love the most.
And you're right. This song is freaking amazing.

So glad that Peter Gabriel wasn't the lead singer in Genesis - it would have changed them all together and we wouldn't have had Peter Gabriel's songs. He's definitely a great solo artist, I always loved his music videos - makes me think of Pee Wee's playhouse!

The point of this song was bang on. He was complaining about all of the yuppies that were popping up in the mid '80's and the culture of greed and empty materiealism which was rearing its ugly head back then. Its basically a rant against all of the Gordon Gecko's in the world. A Legendary song!

When I got my stereo and Kicker 12's installed, I listened to this song first, and louder than hell. I had a giant shit eating grin when I heard the lyric at 3:50. :) "My car is getting bigger"

Amazing - some of the claymation sequences were produced by modeling the animation as a 3D solid and shooting the 2D section slices as they were removed. Imagine the planning involved in just the three singers [3:28] who last only a few seconds. In the 3D block their mouths would have been modeled as a tube that had to widen and narrow in sync with the music, not to mention all the other bits like eyes, teeth and tongue. That's what we'd look like in 4D.

When you hit the Big Time and have all the "things" you've ever wanted, I hope you remembered to keep your loved ones close. Without them, those big things will be useless. There may be no one left to invite to that party where you show off all your stuff. No one to swim in your giant pool or to invite to dinner. Every time you look at it you will feel the pain of loneliness.
