I find the FS 360 is easier for me, have pushed to FS 720 (a while back), even switch FS3 comes easy ; But I still struggle with a BS360 - BS duz feel nicer though!
Hey, any tips on bs360 flat ground? I cane asily land FS3's everytime but I think that the blind takeoff makes it hard for me. Anybody knows how to cope with that? (Also it's extremely frustrating ( ̄ヘ ̄;)) Edit: thanks in advance
I've been riding for years, can nail front 3s off of decently sized jumps in the park. I've always been scared of back threes but this video has changed my mind completely
Dude I can backside three sort of but frontside no shot I mean even my backsides are ducked gotten 1 decent one down bitched out of landing g though. The next like 4 I always face plant get off balanced don’t know what’s wrong cuz feel like I’m going same thing everytime
8yr old son loves it. Easy to ride in the snow. He was able to on the hills behind our house the first time he tried. The way the bindings work are very easy for kids.
This is a well explained video with excellent footage. You can listen to the instructions and cautions while watching examples. I watched and exited 5 vids about BS 360s before landing here. This should be top.
Probably the best, most relatable, 360 tutorial I’ve seen. Always preferred frontside 3’s but after watching this I see how the back 3 should be easier
You guys deserve more subs and views. Keep up the content and try and find some super niche tutorials no one else has done. Yall will trend in no time, much better than all the other boarder channels out there! Hang in there and keep the videos coming!!!
I'm almost 49 , overweight ( technically obese) and have been practising bs 360's both regular and switch across the piste but have yet to grow the balls to do them going straight down the piste. I'll just keep practising, no rush, maybe one day I'll get them on a jump!
As someone who recently landed one but was struggling a lot I can share some tips on what helped me. Practice a lot on the flat - just spinning the board. Spinning backside feels unnatural to me so without getting hang of it on the flat I couldn't really start the rotation right. Do a lot of 180 backsides, anywhere you can. I think they're easier to start but actually harder to land compared to full 360 bs - once you realize that you will feel comfortable to sending it in bigger features.
For me doing too many back 180s made it harder to learn the Back 360 because I stopped myself from overspining so many times, it was really hard for me to get out of this habit. In the end it's all in the head and shoulders, you pop when your head is already starting to look over your back shoulder, a back 1 you can pop while even looking forward over your lead shoulder.
I landed mine on the second try after getting some 270s off side hits Second day on the Rome Artifact and I love it Also did a front board for like 2m Sad to end the season
Jesus man 11, I was 10 in Nov 1998, I live in the UK though so don't get anywhere near as much time on snow, and I only found snowboarding at 28 so have quite a bit of catching up to do, your vids are great though dude, been going through a lot of them to get me ready for my 2nd trip this year, heading to Kaprun in Austria in a few days can't wait to put some of the stuff into practice 🙂.
Enjoy man! I'm just on my way back home from Kaprun! The small snowpark on Kitzsteinhorn is awesome, though my first higher speed back 3 ended in a small faceplant :) oh and I'm 31, it's never too late!
@@DerMannMitHut hey dude, yea it was class, I didn't manage to get any back 3s but I managed to get load of other technique issues sorted and made quite a bit of progress with switch riding etc :), yea the park was class, I went into the smaller park above the Ice camp, but wasn't ready for the big one below it yet 😅. I got home from Kaprun yesterday, so hopefully I can get back out there soon and get some more proactice in. Was there between the 6th and 11th, Hope you had a good time there as well dude!
Idk why but frontside is so much easier for me. I can occasionally FS 720 and I can barely BS 360. It's just so hard for me to spin my body backside, it's like it doesn't wanna go.
because it’s your unnatural spin direction. i spin frontside on rails but for any other purpose i prefer backside. everyone’s got a preferred direction
Once time a caught a backside edge while trying a backside 360 off a big jump and ended up with my feet above me and landed on my back/head. I do 360s everyday Im in the park off big jumps (35s 45s), but its always in the back of my mind.... "what if i catch an edge". I wanna try a 540/720 but Im afraid if I huck it thats when my edge will hit.
@@ShredSchool1 ty for responding man im gunna sub!!!!!! I use to pop off everything but sometimes when I pop I get sent and start spinning a little bit or my center of balance just goes off in mid air..... Is this because im popping with poor form? Its hard going from 360/540 to a cork and im kinda preparing for that. Gunna get my tramp out this week.
Is unlearning tricks a thing? Over the years I've gone from being confident with back 3's with grabs and occasionally 5's to unlearning them to switch frontside 3's and 5's to unlearning them then recently getting back to back 3's and then just effíng them up over carving and landing all in the backseat on my heals. Frustrating.
I'm about the same stats you are. I don't like to go above 156 if I'm throwing rails in there, but without the rails, and if you're not doing huge spins the 159 should be solid. But... to be honest, I never ride a board that big because I like the maneuverability and to be able to throw around my smaller board.
Great idea Alexander, but I don't think RUclips allows us to add a money button as far as I know. Best way to support us and help us continue making videos is sign up for Shred School at EdShreds.Com Appreciate you looking out 👊
In skateboarding, yes. In snowboarding... maybe but we pretty much use them interchangeably. For example, a switch 180 to tailpress is often called half cab tailpress or half cab 5-0 even though you're doing a switch 180 on You have to understand that in snowboarding any switch frontside spin off a jump is called "cab" i.e. "cab 5" but these are not done using fakie ollies off large jumps, they are popped switch hence the difference in snowboarding vs. skateboarding
@@ShredSchool1 I don’t like that though. Because then it downplays the extra difficulty of when someone actually pop off the front and does a real cab. What would you call that then? “ yo that guy did a full cab where he popped off the front going fakie!” Sounds pretty long to say cuz I’ve seen plenty of people pop off the front
Off jumps, you don't want to pop off the (switch) nose for cab. It's bad form and won't work once you get to massive jumps On flat ground most people will do cab 3's off the nose to emulate skateboarding and call it a cab 3. It's a bit of a grey area with snowboarding but it's not like skateboarding where you need as strong of a distinction. You might not like it, I'm just telling you how it's used. But you're right, a cab 270 to front board could be popped off the tail or nose and is usually called the same thing. This is one trick where we actually see both versions done somewhat often. Most tricks it's one or the other
Which do you prefer, the Backside 360 or the Frontside 360?
i like the back 3s the landing is so much easier.
Back 3s. They don't necessarily feel better always but they look better imho.

This is a 290 what you show, man ;)
You said a frontside half cab is just the second part of a backside 360, but that doesn't really make sense does it?
I said a half cab or switch frontside 180, not a frontside half cab.
random question seeing as you guys seem to like the yes greats. should I get the 156 or 159 at 180lbs and 6'?
What type of terrain do you like to ride?

LOL! The backside is the only 360 I can do!

1:09 bro im 14 and i cant even jump and i have been snowboarding for 4 years
I can't even go down the mountain without faceplanting
