We had a MF1105 on our dairy farm in the 70's and 80's, the only difference was ours had a nice cab with air conditioning. I installed a radio and speakers as a father's day present for my dear old Dad around 1985. The MF1105 was a great workhorse on our farm, it did the heavy fieldwork and served us well for many years; it's hard to beat the Perkins diesel engines! At the same time we owned the MF50, MF165 and MF1080, along with the MF3165 gas loader tractor; it was painted yellow as it was industrial. We had half tracks for the MF50, it was amazing in the winter months when we drew out logs from the woods to cut for firewood; we had a table saw also to mount on the back of the MF50. Our dairy farm is located near Roslin in Ontario, Canada.
my father bougth a 155er from this series 50 years ago! it was made in france and a specially cheap edition! the perkins engine made lots of trouble! the premium edition were the 154er or the 158er!! we sold the 155er 10 years ago!! so we have got a grey fergie FE 35 since 1957 and 362 TA from 1995 and a 380T from 1995!!
@@donaldellis3609 We had one and it pulled either a 5 X 14 or a 18' chisel with 20 tines on it. Neighbour had a newer MF 3080 wd and from what I saw of it when it was working (Pulling a coil tine cultivator, I noticed the slightest slope and he would need to change down a gear) it certainly couldn't have lived with The 1100
We ran a 5 X 14" fully mounted plough on ours and once you worked out it's rather quirky draft control system (That's what operators manuals are for!) it was brilliant.
Using a trailed plough doesn't utilise this tractors' draught control, and so doesn't benefit from implement wieght transfer. The tractor appeared to be struggling as a result of this.

Because it easy going for the tractor and plough,stick in some good old Essex blue clay and see what happens 😊
