First of all let me tell you guys, I love the two of you so much. Both your personalities make me smile in each video. So glad you two are representing FareDrop. Thank you for sharing Slovenia with us. I had no idea it was such a beautiful country.
Thank you! 😃 Slovenia is so magical. We're surprised more people don't talk about it, but even as travel vloggers, we're happy it is kind of still a bit of a secret
What a beautiful country! I had no idea. All those cute red roofs. And the desserts look amazing. The gorge is stunning. I felt so claustrophobic during the cave train ride, lol. Great job, you two. Loved this vlog.
Glad you enjoyed it! It was a little nerve-racking at first when we couldn't see anything. I swear I thought it was going to turn into Splash Mountain or something, lol
Loved your review ❤❤(and had a laugh 😂 at the pronunciations). Lived near Bled (Lesce/Zirovnica) for 23 years before work brought us to the US. There is so much to see and so happy you got some great weather to enjoy this little slice of heaven. Our daughter had a wedding ceremony at the castle last year for the grandparents, and her US import husband fulfilled the tradition of the groom carrying the bride from the pletna (boat) up the 99 steps on the island. Absolute magic. Keep the videos coming we love them all!!
Haha we really tried our best! But, omg that's so cute! We were just talking about that tradition too. I was wondering if grooms still carried brides up the stairs.
I love how real you are, very relatable. Jet lag kicking your butt? Nap it off. Just keep rolling. Sometimes you need a slower pace, and maybe you’ll see things you otherwise would have missed. Beautiful country, friendly people, yummy food… I’m in! Great video guys!
Great video, I'm in Italy now, headed to Austia and then I'll be in Slovenia for at least a week before flying home. Great timing on this video, for me ❤️
Finally made it 🙌 Florida living hurricane girl here🙋🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️😎 Slovenia is absolutely breathtaking. So glad you got to experience it. If you ever want to sit through a hurricane, head to Southwest Florida...Cape Coral 😂😂😂 You can stay with me....🎉🎉 You've explored the canals of Venice, why not explore the largest canal system in the world here in Cape Coral...🤷🏻♀️Looking forward to your next adventure 🙌😘😘✌️🌹
Super love your videos! You both have fun personalities, and i love the places you choose to go. I went to Slovenia a few years ago as a jumping off point for the Balkans but ended up LOVING it. What a beautiful country that not many people know about or visit. My husband and I are convinced we should move there now. Haha.
I am originally from Croatia and moved here couple of years ago and it is the best place for living and working. A lot of my friends from US already moved here also. The only drawback is the real estates which are higher than in Austria or Italy and close to Switzerland but hey...the new house cost us around 1 mio eur and it's nothing special but like I said - the quality of living is well worth the price od housing market...
OMG wow! Slovenia was already on my travel wish list ever since I saw an episode of Chef's Table centring on a female chef with a beautiful restaurant up in a Slovenian valley somewhere, and I knew about Lake Bled, but I was STILL blown away! Those drone shots of Lake Bled literally made me well up a little and I want to go everywhere! 🥹
Great video! My husband and I spent a week there in August. We rented a car and made Ljubljana our home base since as you said it is such a small country. I would recommend also visiting the mercury mine in Idjira (UNESCO World Heritage Site) as well as Lake Bohinj which is much more wild than Bled. We did not visit the caves (there are 2, the one you visited and another one which is a UNESCO site) because we personally thought that 30€ was way too much.
There are two very famous cave systems (Škocjan and Postojna + several others), but there is more than 15.000 caves. Caves cataster of Slovenia currently holds 15.479 caves.
We were going to do Lake Bohinj. It was either go there or go to the coast, but we talked about it and decided it would be a similar enough experience to Lake Bled that we should prioritize experiencing the coastal towns. Next time we're back, Lake Bohinj will be one of our first stops.
@@faredrop The most touristic places are in the west of Slovenia - the coast, Alpine region and Ljubljana, but there are many great places in the east as well.
That might be one of the prettiest places I've seen you guys go to. Question for Tony do you do your own drone shots or do you just get those from like a video source
You said you’ve been in a lot of caves in the past six years. Have you ever been to Carlsbad Caverns? That is the most amazing cave system I’ve ever seen. I’m curious if this one beats Carlsbad in your opinion?
We have. Carlsbad is far more impressive as far as the geological features, but this one has a train 😅. No, seriously. This one doesn't beat out Carlsbad for us.
No I think that's a good time. Might be right after the rainy season, but it should be starting to warm up and it's right before the crowds. (Not that Piran is all that crowded to begin with)
I hope you two keep making videos for FareDrop. I’ve loved watching your POV on the deals and costs and trips and sights. Thank you for sharing so much with us! 💜💜💜
The caves, the views, the water 😱 Slovenia is now on my list!!
No kidding. We're already excited to go back and stay for longer!
This might be my favourite Sara and Tony video yet!
🙌🙌
Great video! Slovenia has now officially been added to our 'must-see' list!
It's so great!
Lake Bled has always been on my bucket list. Idk why but the fact that I can row around the lake makes it so much more exciting 😂 Tony sold me on it.
If you need someone to row for you, we got you! 😂

Thank you!!! We appreciate you watching each video. We didn't either. Photos gave us an idea, but in no way did it justice.
Very nice to see a video on Slovenia through the eyes of down to earth people. Thanks! 😀
Thank you! 😃 Slovenia is so magical. We're surprised more people don't talk about it, but even as travel vloggers, we're happy it is kind of still a bit of a secret
Your pronunciation is Štruklji was the most impressive thing to us 🤣 I told Chan we could neverrrr
Took about 6 or 7 practice runs. We could do outtakes just on us trying to pronounce words 😂
I love Slovenia! Beautiful place and a must see for everyone! ❤
Thanks for bringing back some memories.
It really is! Glad you enjoyed the video
Slovenia is definitely on our Bucket List now! What a beautiful country full of the things we love to do! Thank you for introducing us!!❤
You're welcome! I hope you can make it there one day

Luckily the groom lives on the 14th floor in Philly - so plenty of practice!

Thanks! We like sharing more of the realness of travel. Sometimes you are jetlagged, and that jam-packed day you had planned needs to fit in a nap 😂
Another great video guys! I love your honesty!
Thanks so much! That's our goal
You guys travel just like I do - budget but knowing when it’s worth it to spend! Refreshing 🥰
Yes! It makes the splurges feel just a little more justifiable
added to my places I want to travel list
Yes!!
Wow, another one to add to my list!
It's so good!
Thank you for another great video! Slovenia has been on our list for years! Looks beautiful!
Thanks for watching. I hope you get there one day. It really is quite amazing!
We're heading here. Currently in full planning mode! Can't wait. Subscribed.
Yes! You're going to love it!
Would love to go back to Slovenia, I spent 1/2 a day in Ljubljana and wished I had visited more of the country.
Ljubljana is a ton of fun, but the real gem is the surrounding areas
Thank you very much! Sara and Tony!
Thanks for sticking around and watching us!
Love the videos!
Glad to hear it!
Love your videos and can’t wait for the next one!
Yay! Thank you!
Love the video. I visited Slovenia a few years ago - you’ve really captured the highlights of such a cool country!
Happy to hear that! We were like there's no way we can do this place justice

omg happy you're ok. We were living in St Pete for the last big hurricane. Had to evacuate. Hope everything is ok with your home.
Great tips!! This has been added to my bucket list! Thank you!!

Definitely will be adding this to my list 😊
You should!

I wouldn't blame you. It's so beautiful, and peaceful. Feel like there are fewer countries you can say that about these days

It's so beautiful. I have to check out that episode. There's an entire wine region that we missed in the North East that I bet is unbelievable
Chief Ana Roš from Kobarid, near Soča River.
Great week spent there, another good one keep it up ❤
Thanks. Such a magical place

This is my home ❤...the Soča Valley to be more precise. Check out our valley next time, you won't regret.
We will! It's actually in our plans for the next time we return. Thanks for the warm welcome!
great video! Slovenia now a must see some day. Love the bloops 😄
Thanks! 😃
Nice video 👌Cheers from your receptionist in Bled 😉
Thank you! So cool to hear from you. Hope all is well. Cheers!
Planing a hungary-Slovenia trip this spring.
Very nice
agreed

agreed! We have a mini 4 pro we take on our travels.
We love your videos! Slovenia is beautiful!
Tony what is that necklace you wear? It looks electronic!
It is! It's a microphone. Pretty discreet, right?
Can I ask with the everything including how much did the 7 days cost you ? Also love your videos !!!!!!
Traditional štruklji are with cottage cheese (skuta) wallnuts (orehi) and raisins (rozine). No chocolate, no bannanas & other weird stuff.
Nice
14:00 in theory, I know how to row a boat. I’ve seen it on tv
I missed the chance to say "I once stayed at a Holiday Inn express"
This is my country 🥹

Is it a good idea to visit Piran in may? Too cold?
No I think that's a good time. Might be right after the rainy season, but it should be starting to warm up and it's right before the crowds. (Not that Piran is all that crowded to begin with)
No, it will be warm enough. In may you can swim in the sea, sometimes. 😊
@@anamarijav.zorzut2376 we are thinking about May, 5th~7th. Do you think it will be raining, or a cloudy weather?
👋👍
Your videos are nicer than Kara & Nate... remind their old videos.
Now they just post tons of airplane reviews 😅
10000000% agree!
If you like caves then Skocjan Caves are even more impressive than Postojna.
Tanks. We'll have to check them out on the next visit
Have you watched "Armour of God" with Jackie Chan? :)
Someone else mentioned it, and I went and watched it recently!
YOU WANT SWANS... YOU SHOULD TRAVEL TO REVA DEL GARDA, ITALY.. NORTH OF COMO, ITALY....
Thanks for the rec!!
6:15 ostrich or emu??!! Anyone know?
Thanks what I want to know too!
It's a bird from South America, Greater Rhea. Same family as ostrich and emu.
Its interesting that nobody goes to Logar valley, which is one of the most beautiful places...
totally agree!
I knew it!!!! Ayyyyeeee
🙌 you did! lol
