Skip all steps and go directly to the last step of resetting the TV under the General TV settings and it’s guaranteed to work - Only downside is you are going to have to scan for channels again and re-download apps, and log into your Samsung account
Nothing works in trying to fix the internet problem on my older Samsung smart TV. It doesn't accept the wired ethernet cable or detect any wireless networks on my newer modem and high speed router, which works on everything else. And when I try to reset it to factory settings, it says it won't change the network settings, so I didn't bother. It was a top end Samsung TV with 3D when I bought it.

Samsung and other brands stopped making them with 3D, even though 3D Blu-rays are still being sold. I even had guests over last night as we watched a 3D movie on it, and the 3D effects were very enjoyable to watch.

So I did this and it worked for my tv. Step 1: hold down on tv power for 5-7 seconds Step 2: wait for tv to come on and press source on tv remote Step 3: go to settings & scroll to general Step 4: go to network and click reset network Step 5: pop up may come up and click yes or reset Step 6: another pop up may come up and click network settings Step 7: follow settings to set up network settings again & hopefully it works. But after 4-5 months of it not working this actually worked .
UPDATE: if it still didn’t work after it all: Try OPTION 2: 1) hold power button for (5-7 seconds) 2) click source 3) go to settings 4) go to general 5) click network 6) scroll down and click Reset 7) type in default pin 8) click reset 9) wait for full reset 10) then proceed to TV auto guide
