New arrivals…..one was limping in the front. I just love your Family. Kids are a crack up…….but look at who they model after…….lol! Can’t have a favorite, they’re all different…..ah heck, Reggie is special. He talks a lot! Hahaha. He’s a good kid for his age. He tries and tries and tries. Thanks for sharing them with all of us (with me).
Nice set of bulls! I am praying for you from Ohio that it will rain in Nevada! Hang in there my friend, you have been blessed with a beautiful family. Thanks for sharing!
🤣🤣 I love your ranch and all the kids doing so much. I'm a first generation rancher. I only own 50 ish head. I have 16 purebred then rest is black Angus cows on charolai bulls. Just 320 acres a long with 200 acres of lease. In 12 more years I'll try and buy another 320 acres then repeat. Originally I was living in the city tell I graduated. Lmao. My grandma grew up with a guy named Dennis Laubeck. He grew up on 160 acres. When he kicks the bucket. He'll die owning 55k acres. Well senior year of high school he asked if I could help dig 10 holes 4' deep. 6 years later. Still working for him. They have a registered bull sale and all that foo foo stuff Your ranch is the most true showing about how a ranch is on here.
Ranching in the drought is a really tough way to live. My prayers are with you that it rains soon. It will rain when you need it the most I've heard. Takes guts to buy bulls in a dry spell. Good looking bulls though. Tough family for a tough land. Hang in there, we're pulling for you!
I completely understand that phrase “ I either quit too early or too late!? And it’s usually too late” 🤣😆 that rings sooo true to me!! My only power to help you my Buckaroo friend is Prayer 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼
I like the cloud of dust that accompanies Ridge as he roams the ranch. it’s easy to see how much his big brothers love him. Good video thanks for sharing. Work through.
I hate that you are struggling with the weather and the fuel ⛽️ prices and all the other crap that’s going on and still make it worthwhile. I wish I could help you monetarily. I sure would. Thank you for feeding our Country. I love y’all and I to am praying for you and all the other farmers, cattle men that are just holding on for now. I pray Favor and strength and wisdom for everything you do in Jesus mighty name. 🙋🏻♀️Amen. ♥️🇺🇸🙋🏻♀️
Awesome job ur kids did on getting the cows rounded up and brought him y'all have some good working hard kids and its nice to see how they are with everything that they do and it helps u and ur wife out cause they love doing what they do u and ur family be safe and always always be careful doing what y'all do each and every day
I adore you for stopping to smell the roses( Ridge). I admire you for never forgetting to take time to show love to your wife and children. Without them, life is meaningless.
Better get those cowboys a saddle bag to hang onto their lunch! Sure is good to see the three big boys (Ram, Rio and Riley). Ridge is just too cute! And really nice to see Robbie, he isn't around nearly enough. Thanks for another good video - and prayers for rain and wisdom for you to know what to do.
The Great family entertainment Channel, video's of the strong. Looks like good heifer bull's for you for a good calves, the boys worked hard getting the cows too the house. And praying for moisture like lots 🙏. Quitting not the game, stay strong. Praying for you and your family.
Guess RUclips didn't want to notify me about this video. Love the video but just feeling how stressed you are. Saddens me. Everyone needs to keep praying for this family and for rain. Ridge was so cute.
I remember watching one of Reed flakes vlogs and he was selling cow calf pairs because everything was dry and no rain, it looks like recently he's been buying weaned calves because they've had rain and now have good feed, maybe sell a few heifers just to cover some costs, I know it's a hard decision been there myself and I sold stock.
You might consider doing some research on Brangus bulls. Because they are 3/8s Brahma they can handle the heat but can handle freezing temperatures. They don't have a bad disposition at all. I could walk around my cattle and rub their backs. I used to be a cattle/brand inspector. By the way, you have a great family. God Bless. 🇺🇲
From the looks of it you need a looooong slow rain over a couple of weeks which probably never comes out there. I hope things turn around for you pretty soon. Like I’ve always said, those cows can’t eat dust or snowballs. I can only imagine how much it’s costing to feed hay to that many cattle in the desert.
Great video as always, nice not so little herd you guys have there. You have some great kids . Keep the videos coming. Until next time have a great day
I know your struggle. I Dry land farm in southern Alberta were we have had less rain then the desert in the last 2 years and next isn’t looking good. But I’m a sucker for punishment and going ti keep going for more. Lol It’s that bad all I can do is laugh
After hearing about my grandpa's mistake in the 1930s and seeing the abstracts showing many loans he secured from his bank to buy feed for registered Hereford bulls that no one had money to buy, ultimately leading to the sale of about half his TX Panhandle ranch I'm leary of betting on Mother Nature. I'm sitting out my third wheat crop because I can. Good lookin Angus bulls.
Another great video. Little funny to see ram on the little horse. The guys are doing a good job. Your drought is a real bugger on the cattle. I like your truck box convoy idea. I had a couple of those trailers some years a go work good. Easy to make and handy . . I have a thought for the tippy ones were the shock is weld they solid or put in a bar of steel to make the trailer rigid. The other thought is you have weak cattle far from the ranch making it harder to drive them. If you could get your hands on a portable cattle handling coral and panels with a loading chute or alley . This way you guys would not have to drive them so far and could load them up and take them home. Get a company to let you demo one for youtube. Just a couple of thoughts. Thank You and keep up the great work and videos
I was thinking about those truck bet trailers for the past few days. I was thinking I should warn you that worn out suspension on those things will cause accidents. New heavy duty shocks should help.
My advice for what it is worth is look where everyone else is going and run the other way! I can't tell you I would be better off if I had followed it but I don't think I would be worse off.
Ram some people spend their winters hauling their stock cattle from 1 harvested corn field to another. Several years ago a custom baler baled are half circle of corn stalks. I paid him for swathing , and baling the land lords share. I bought an old bear cat mixer grinder. Freed rusted parts. Disconnected the mixer ,and hydraulic pump. Replaced belts , patched the bottom of the hammer mill. Rotated the discharge tube. Ram my cattle ate stalks and all. I also feed 20 percent range cubes. About 3 pound per animal per day. My cattle done good. May be you could find some baled corn stalks.

Hi folks. I have been following your troubles for quite a while now, and am somewhat worried about your weather issues. I looked up the long range forcast (8-10 years estimates) and it doesn't look good. The drought is supposed o get even deeper over the next three years before stabilizing for a coule of years before ANY increase in rains is forecast. Fuel is high, feed is high and a lot of hard decisions. Farming/Ranching seems like nothing but hard decisions and hard work. I'm sure that you've thought about it and you have your own truck and trailer but what about ranging them out in northern Utah or southeastern Idaho in the mountains on BLM/National Forest service land in the summer on the nice green mountain grass and give your range time to recover and let them graze on your range in the winter? A guy here is selling his 2nd cutting alfalfa hay (70 pound bales) here for $13 per bale ($371 per ton) things are getting ridiculous and probably going to get worse before it gets better. Just a thought. A lot of guy's up here run their cattle back and forth. And if you're ever up her be sure to say howdy!
I'm thinking that if you get a chance to put some American Wagu genetics you could start asking a premium for your calves. Even start selling your own breeding stock. Just a thought.

Ranchin in the desert can’t be easy. No water and everything is a long way off. At today’s diesel prices (thanks Brandon) it’s only gonna get worse. Might be time to do some deep culling. Hoping the best for you guys. 🙏
Hello Brother Rancher; I know you are inundated everyday with EVERYBODY'S professional help and advice, but just to add my two cents, I would say pick a piece of land you feel good with and either Irrigate or Hand line or wheeline water 50 Acers of Hay, That will help you greatly reduce you feed bill.
every rancher in these parts are thinking the same as you, with the JoeHlole in office 12 ranches locally have sold their homes and moved on, thousands of acres and they can't afford fuel, feed, or maintenance, their done. nobody's gonna be left can afford a beef steak FJB
Why don't you just "up and move" to Florida??? We have GREAT cattle ranching down here...my dad's boss has EXCELLENT cattle nice fat and healthy and resilient! And lots to do 'round down here, especially with your family and we have great feed and hay down here not just for bovine either, equine as well....! But good luck 🍀🦄🐮🍀🦄🐮🍀😁😁😁~Swamp-Gurl/ aka Gator -Gurl, From: Central Florida....
Obviously you can do the math on how long until you're out of hay/tubs and how much it costs to get more. You might have to sell some just to reduce the number of mouths to feed.

sell half, keep half. It cuts the feed costs, cashes out on some beef, keep you having some herd and cuts some of your stress... hopefully in half.
Beautiful landscape all the same. Wish you’d get rain though. Handsome bulls.
I hear you on the roads. Mine is washboard central, and the grader can't cut any, it's like cement, only rougher on the trucks.

Those are some nice bulls you got! Can you send any cows to Pine Valley with the cows from the other ranch? Seemed like there was always plenty of feed in the mountains over there.
I am not a rancher nor a business man but my suggestion would be “do the math”!
Market price, marketable cattle, price to feed vs. market price. These are decisions you must make and you need to do it by the numbers, not someone else’s opinion!
My suggestion, which isn’t worth a grain of sand, sell as many cattle as are profitable and pray for better times!
Buying bulls to breed hungry cows would not have been my first choice.
I can tell you are burdened and can feel the anxiety and dought! Let your inner voice guide you, your experience guide you and most of all common sense guide you.
Thin the herd as much as is profitable, if profitability is even a factor at this point!
Good luck and I am praying with you for rain!

That Roofing Cowboy he's the best Reggie the one at the end of the video
Blm land is something too look into n then if you get rain 🌧 your land could recover some or do some really hard calling of older cows out of the herd
every rancher in these parts are thinking the same as you, with the JoeHlole in office 12 ranches locally have sold their homes and moved on, thousands of acres and they can't afford fuel, feed, or maintenance, their done. nobody's gonna be left can afford a beef steak FJB
Stay tuned we’re heading your way 🌴🐊🐂⚓️
Stay the course.
Rain is coming soon!
I need to buy a bull.
How many bulls do you have
My favorite cowboys
My crystal ball says rain in future and ship may bbe dry docked and hard fall.
Obviously you can do the math on how long until you're out of hay/tubs and how much it costs to get more. You might have to sell some just to reduce the number of mouths to feed.
Brother sell em off and hold the money till things turn around you can always get more
Maybe gather up John Cseey's old hands.... they know how to find feed in Nevada, Oregon and California...
