Sheep and Dogs got me through my childhood. I'm 49 now but I was mercilessly bullied at school and in the street. I had no friends, and when not in school I would retreat into my bubble in my bedroom and listen to Animals full blast on my headphones to drown out the outside world. I hope Roger and the band know how much of an impact they can have had on people with their music.
I think they know. Why else would they make the huge effort to create something like this. This might be why some artists seem slightly annoyed and condescending at times in intervews. See, we didn’t do this for YOU. It’s for that kid who needs it. That would be me. And you. The kid who punches his pillow at 8:31 and goes out to take on another day.

Pink Floyd one of the best band that ever existed. Their music is different from others. You don't know where they will bring you forward on. Mysterious and deep.
All those years ago Roger called KLOL [ Houston, TX ] and asked why his show wasn't sold out ( this being the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking tour ), stating that elsewhere the shows were selling quite well and in his eloquent voice laid out the program: First hour his solo material / Second hour Pink Floyd. So at 4:30 that afternoon I receive a phone call from my great friend Lonny (whom I lost years ago to a tragic accident ) with these words : I heard Roger Waters earlier, we're going pick you up in 1 hour..( laughing ). It was an amazing show, he had two angels who sang backup that added soulful turns throughout the evening. Peace, from Texas
call it good careful tour planning or good fortune, this tour came to Hollywood Bowl in L.A. and as the band played Dark Side, the full moon was appearing over the HBowl. stunning.
This clip lives up to its title. The sound is excellent, as is the filming. A lot of clips from this tour claim to be "Pro shot", yet they have the click track we're not supposed to hear ruining most songs. This tour was not recorded as obsessively as _The Wall Live_ was. I wish there was a good complete show of it.
K.A.O.S was fucking incredible !! I wish people would stop bitching about what these artists were bitching about all those years ago, but the comparison between the two performances in 1987-88, K.O.A.S was by far the best show I ever saw in my entire life! A momentary lapse of reason was a proper name for what the other three artists did though, because the "reason" certainly was not there, and never would be again, so actually it is a permanent loss of "reason"- sometimes people have to move on sometimes, and things change sometimes.

Richard Wright's intro is played note for note. Wonder if it's because Roger Water insisted it or because Wright's playing was so integral to Pink Floyd's sound?
Both reasons, my friend. Roger Waters experimented with re-arrangng (and even composing new parts for) his Pink Floyd songs during his Pros & Cons and Radio KAOS concerts in the 80s. He went for a funky "blue-eyed soul" feeling instead, with more saxophone, and completely different guitar solos. (This was understandable in 1984, when Eric Clapton was in his touring band.) They're worth checking out, if only for the sheer novelty of it. But during his break from touring ('88-'99) he came to feel that he still enjoyed performing in a Pink Floyd style, and by that point, volumes had been written about the quality of David Gilmour's soloing. So Roger decided to present most of his songs the way classical music is presented: note for note, with the solos recreated faithfully. This would obviously apply to keyboard solos as well. I hope that answers your question.
This song is about how the Vampire Banking Cartel is going to kill off billions with Engineered Famine, Vaccine induced Disease, WW3 & Government Death camps (FEMA) The Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Windsors, Kennedys, Bushs & many other families are inbred into this Vampire bloodline. They are generational Satanists who have no conscience.
Thanks for the upload! I saw him do this, also 2006 I think, at Hyde Park. It was the last song of the first set, just before a break and then, Dark Side of the Moon. Beautiful! Also, for once on a live gig I'd been dying to see, I managed to time my drinking correctly. So I was pleasantly pissed in time for Rog and the gang, not stupidly pissed and liable to forget parts of it. :D
Roger has such a great voice. I know it sounds a bit off in this performance compared to the original recording, but I still really like his voice. I also like Gilmour's voice

The song could use a drummer that propels this type of song better. My favorite Floyd song and I think the heaviest. Although he may just be playing how RW told him to.
I thought the same thing. The drumming on this song needs to be like it's running off the rails. This drummer is too...clean and tidy about it. I play drums in a Pink Floyd tribute and I make sure to bring as much "Nick" to this song as possible.
As a drummer yourself Craig, what do you think of Nick's drumming generally? I agree that the playing on this just doesn't feel like Nick at all (and I'm just a guitarist).

Harmlessly passing your time in the grassland away
Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air
You better watch out
There may be dogs about
I've looked over Jordan and I have seen
Things are not what they seem
What do you get for pretending the danger's not real
Meek and obedient you follow the leader
Down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel
What a surprise
A look of terminal shock in your eyes
Now things are really what they seem
No, this is no bad dream
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He makes me down to lie
Through pastures green he leadeth me the silent waters by
With bright knives he releaseth my soul
He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places
He converteth me to lamb cutlets
For lo, he hath great power and great hunger
When cometh the day we lowly ones
Through quiet reflection and great dedication
Master the art of karate
Lo, we shall rise up
And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water
Bleating and babbling we fell on his neck with a scream
Wave upon wave of demented avengers
March cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream
Have you heard the news?
The dogs are dead!
You better stay home
And do as you're told
Get out of the road if you want to grow old
Sounds like he's changed the lyrics to be "WATCH WHAT you get.."
