Love these kinda a videos when you show the troubleshooting. PLEASE do more!!!!!!!!!!!!
this was the most helpful x13 blower diagnosis. The others used a specialty tool or scrap unit pigtail that I did not have. Thanks.
Thanks for this video. It saved me so much money. Your explanation on troubleshooting steps gave me confidence in the solution to my X13 ECM blower motor not running. Genteq X13 replacement for my GE X13 model was $265.45 total including tax. Amazon prime delivered next day to me. Installed today and all cool now!

gramarmy yep Hebert’s has the best boudin in all the land less than 2 miles from my house
Nobodys Boudin is better than T-Boys in Mamou
Yes we do
There is a way that you can determine if it is the module or if it is the motor
Notice the new Gentec motor looked to be one piece instead of two piece (module and motor).
Got confused with the 24v common it’s on the line side top.
I am use 1&5 terminal 24v motor running good amp also 1.6
99% of the time it’s the module
Very True
Alot times a speed gos bad n itll work on next speed
just replaced my rheem seer 10 3.5ton of 15 yrs with a rheem 16 seer 4ton it has a x13 motor i hope it lasts or else im sticking a psc motor
See this doesn't make any sense to me. You always have high voltage at your ECM motor present regardless of a call for fan, cool or heat. That is high voltage going into your module. So when there is a call for a fan, cool or heat, then you get 24 volts that goes to your module. So now you have both 24 volts and 240 volts going to your module. So how do you know if the module is bad or the motor? If all you're able to do is test what's going into the module then how do we know what's supposed to come out of the module and go to the motor?
can any problems
How old is that unit?
5 years
Static pressure must be off, motor looked soaked from water
Do those things use capacitors?
No the capacitor is built into the module
1400 motor Xd too much money for a motor
Gerardo Valencia that is what people get for going high efficiency
Eric M you can get a standard PSC motors for your furnaces and have converted plenty of them to PSC motors for people who can’t afford it.
Those x13's are junk motors
