I appreciate you telling us the good and not so good about your projects (combining different fibers in a project).
I am also happy to hear you say it’s ok to make something even if you don’t have a specific purpose in mind. I crochet to relieve stress. Sometimes I just make something because I need to decompress. I’ve heard other crochet RUclipsrs say don’t buy yarn or make things if you don’t have a purpose for it. To each his own. Thank you! ☀️

I am addicted to making these little Bits of cheerful colors... The possibilities are endless...

Beautiful afghans Jayda! I love the one with 2 shades of green and a white (off white?) border. So pretty! Granny squares with you was my first crochet project so they always have a special place in my heart...that and they're so pretty and can look so different each time. Thanks for sharing. 😊

Hi Becky!! How are you :) Grannies will always have a special place in my heart because it was the first real thing I learned to make with a friend, up to that point, I had been figuring it all out on my own. Long live the granny!

Love your longer hear! Looks so pretty!. I have a box of primary color 2 or 3-row squares to do the truck blanket,. 120 whites and 120 blacks even more greys but I hate the joining. So they sit. I learned how to crochet making granny squares. There is a granny a day square. This gave me just enough experience with a select stitch to learn. Now I can do advanced patterns or look at it and then make it something without the pattern. It has also helped me learn to create my own patterns. And the experience using different stitches together has been invaluable. Still, hate the joining, so this last bag of spares made 62 beanies for the nic unit at the local level 4 hospital.

Hi Darcia, joining can be a little tedious, so I find it helps to make the joining an interesting part of the overall design :)
