I was wondering I have a Toyota aygo I have replaced the seat belts after my crash but I was wondering if I connect it with the yellow connector for the wires will it set The sensor off again as that’s the only thing I need to do left will it be safe to connect again ?

The seat belt did not lock due to the wiring here. The seat belt locked due to the internal gas cylinder in the seat belt component emptying out its contents. This is a safety function. It would have been possible to just replace that gas cylinder and unlock the seat belt but that might end up costing more than buying the entire new seatbelt as we did here

Airbag light on dash was on?

Yes airbag light was on but the seatbelt locking is a separate problem. The airbag light is usually on when the sensor that triggers the airbag requires replacing

So there’s no way to release it without changing it?

There are places that you can send the entire unit for them to release the belt but it takes time to get it back. For me the cost was the same as the used part and I had the car working right away.
