    My mom went into the hospital as an emergency last week. I noticed when she did my pain symptoms became much less. I felt almost normal! Thank you, Dan for the insight of the brain had something it perceived as more important so my other symptoms went down!

      @@ReneeB-mz9cx What? No! Read what she said smh she said her mom was MORE important and it was a distraction from the pain because she was thinking about her mom.

      @@sobombeh I was reading between the lines. Sometimes the pain stops when stressful situations/people are removed. Sometimes that's the key. It's worth talking about, we don't need to tiptoe around the truth. If it doesn't apply to this situation it shouldn't hurt anyone to ask.

    Oh Barbara! The throat is totally me, lower back and hip and some neuropathy. I have been diagnosed with barretts esophagus and yes PPIs, I had some taste issues but not my mouth all throat. Just started watching Dan which,made me remember mind body stuff I read many years ago. I totally agree with all this and am learning to talk to my brain. Early days as I am a what if-er and been like that as Barbara said as a child and can pinpoint what happened and hence it started and yes I was 7. So I am working at this, have some steps ie saying its going to be a good day, talking to my body even before I get up, but the what ifs are strong and I am dealing with them as they arise. Thanks Barbara and Dan as this story in some ways is so similar.

    This is my story almost exactly. What I’ve learned is that reflux is stress and diet related but, here’s the good part from a very talented dr, you are hypersensitive to the reflux. Because reflux happens to everyone. We are designed for it. Most people don’t even notice it. But when you’re in a limbic induced hypersensitive state, it becomes a thing. Sounds like you do have lpr if you’re feeling it in the upper part. Also stress and hypersensitive reaction. Strangely I also had the diverticulitis but that resolved as well.

    Hey Dan do you know or can you do a video of success stories like once recovered, what do they do if they get a symtom out the blue again or how long do they wait before going to doctors? Or do they even go back to doctors? I'm sure it gets very tiring and expensive rsp if you have no insurance! I found some people saying going to the doctors was so stressful in itself

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Месяц назад +2

      A relapse of symptoms does not need to be a major problem. Treat it as TMS/PDP and have the same unconcerned mindset you had when it went away the first time. The returning symptoms will not stick around if we do not fuel them with fear.

      Burning Mouth and REFLUX both have the same cause. Being in the fight or flight response too much. Stress causes a suppression of the digestive system and can cause reflux. Reflux is often blamed for the burning mouth, yet people get rid of the burning mouth and the reflux. Both are the result of a brain perceiving danger.
      Create safety with the concepts taught on this channel and you can heal.

      Being persistent and determined to want to get better and living your life. To get better you must fully accept that no matter how severe or widespread your pain/symptoms are, they are due to the brain perceiving danger and not to something physical (after having any medical issues ruled out). I finally believed this in my gut but the symptoms still felt very uncomfortable. You have to do the things you love and/or have to do while you are still hurting. Eventually the brain knows keeping you in pain no longer works. I hope this helps....Barbara

    • @davidhoulden5791
      @davidhoulden5791 Месяц назад

      Faded over time. You have to fully accept and fully believe in your gut that no matter how severe or widespread your symptoms are, this is all due to the brain perceiving danger and it is not due to a physical/structural abnormality. You have to get to the point of feeling indifferent/unconcerned....Barbara Note: BM has reappeared but I know how to deal with it now so it goes away right away or within a few hours.

      It just happened the one time during my three bowels movements early that morning. The pressure of the bowel movements were so strong it probably burst a small vein in my diverticula. That is what my GI said.

      If you know that there is nothing physically wrong e.g. endoscopy is normal as well as any other tests, this may be the brain doing it. To be absolutely sure, take Dan's 2 tests on You Tube....Barbara
