I really liked when she tells it took her long to really believe she could change her neuropathways, because I think a lot of people get to this point (myself included) when they understand their body is actually safe, but are still afraid if their brain will in fact make this change, mostly for being stuck in the fear/anxiety loop. I find pain acceptance to be the hardest step so far, and watching her honestly talk about how it sucks in the beginning and the slow process to build the confidence, that's really inspiring.

Very much like my story except mine is decades long. Extremely helpful and laced with tips for doing the work. I'm great at consuming content at an intellectual level, but really believing that I can recover, feeling deeply inside my body that degree of safety, that has been the blind spot! I'm working on it! I know I will get there too.

Thank you for sharing.. I’m on the same boat..this has given me renewed hope..🙏🏼🙏🏼 application is key, and of course the redirecting my brain to safety..
I keep absorbing the intellectual aspect of it 😵‍💫

@@marly1869Hi noticed your post on a recovery story that you have been at it for a while the TMS journey and you’re feeling better with somatic therapy I’m wondering are you doing that on your own or did you choose someone to help you because I feel that’s what I need and if you did choose someone to help you who did you choose. There are so many people doing this that are good just because someone is doing a success story doesn’t mean that’s who they chose to do the somatic therapy I’m on disability I have to make the right choice because this will be a loan, And not a big one. Thank you

Hi Jim, just wanted to say that I stumbled upon your channel via the mindful gardener interview.
I have never seen a channel so professional, backed by science, accurate, while the content is presented in such a simple and digestible way.
And the truly amazing part is that you have a support group, and yet you really don't hold anything back and give it all for free here.
I gained so much clarity on my struggles with GAD\chronic anxiety and the bodily sensations it outputs, for once finally after almost 2 years of struggling I feel like I know how to help myself thanks to you, I understand what I must face and how to go about it, sure it's not easy and not an overnight fix, but I am no longer disturbed and I am willing, and I feel like that's all I truly need to overcome this :)
You made a shift in me that finally removed the doubt, THANK YOU!!

SO encouraging to hear of success. Thank you Anna. Jim, you worked with me a few years back. TMS started for me in 2016. I recovered twice. Both times I sensed it wasn't through with me. Severe spasms are over; my last obstacle is movement. I still can't walk with a stick or crutch because I can't put full weight on left leg. I CAN push fully on a shovel and crush a pop can with left leg. I want to move. HELP.

Great story I’ve just been at this for three weeks learning as much as I can. I used this method partially to deal with long-term interstitial cystitis nerve pain burning pain for more than a decade. But during that time I had a surgery on my jaw I was told that would fix all of my problems CFS Fibro IC . I have not been able to get rid of the pain that was created by a doctor or not created by myself. Trigeminal neuralgia a typical type two I feel like my tooth is being drilled on 24 seven. The only person who helped me was a pain biofeedback psychotherapist who taught me to move into the pain connected my jaw too machine and showed me how to relax my jaw it was extremely painful because my jaw is used to being so tense from TMJ. That is the only thing that helps my pain now moving into the painNow I can just imagine that machine because I did it for two years and I watch it come down and I take deep breaths watch it come down again and it hurts like hell. But when I’m done the burning pain is a lot better but after eating talking moving it always comes back so that’s why I’m here. But moving into the pain if I didn’t do that I honestly don’t know that I would still be here because it’s a hard thing to live with since 2003.

You just gave me renewed hope, been on the TMS journey for years, think I’ve made every mistake listed in tms coaches’ content.
