I personally feel there should actually be a story behind every watch at least while wearing them if not while buying them to truly enjoy your watches rather than just buying watches for just expanding your collection. I by far prefer the speedmaster on black leather strap. I like and own rolexes but not the most commonly wanted ones. I was also lucky to buy all the rolexes I wanted before hype. I have dssd JC, sd43, 2 explorer2 black and polar. I like the more under radar like Breguet, Blancpain and Zenith.

Nico criticises a lot of these guys for only having high pieces that have gone above retail and no vintage etc. but then look at him when it comes to something like cars with his Ferrari and his G wagon. Someone whose job is cars would look at him the same way.
I think Nico would say that he is more of a casual car collector compared to someone like Leno. Nothing wrong with that.
